I got a text saying they are still looking at my claim ( are they actively looking at it or is it still in a que to be seen ?) and no need to contact them
I'm not sure Wich claim as I have two in for both my youngest but it didn't state who's claim think I'll try calling any way

I had a letter at 7 weeks and a text at 9 weeks to say they were still looking at the claim .
I've had to call this morning to update some information and was told claim should be with a case manager within 2 weeks. Scan date is 27/01.
The lady said they are averaging 12-13weeks

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 13:19

My daughters claim is currently at 10weeks 2days with them scan 6/2

My son's was received on 29/3

Just tried calling it rang once then call ended I just want confirmation as it seems people are getting different time frames I don't want to believe it'll be just another 2-3weeks if it's going to be another.6-8 for us

MrsB113 · 12/04/2023 13:46

I completely understand, I suppose it depends on how many claims they have on certain dates and how complex they are. If there are no claim dated between 17/01 & 24/01 itll speed things up a week but there could be 100 claims dated 25/01 that slows the process again.
I was going to call on 28th April as that will be 13weeks. It just happened to be that I had information to give them today.
I've decided there's nothing more I can do, I've given them all the evidence I have and I'll just have to wait now. As hard as it is.

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 13:55

Unfortunately once they have the form it's out of our hands all we can do is wait and hope they make the right decision for our children just a pain that sometimes it's not always within the time frame they give originally I think it's always a generic 12week time frame they give every claimant

MrsB113 · 12/04/2023 14:09

I agree, the wait is awful especially having to wait months and years for the right medical treatments, support from services etc

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 14:21

my daughter showed signs of asd very early and I self refered with a gp and she was assessed fairly quickly took just shy of 2 years for her to be diagnosed just two days before her 4th birthday
My son isn't diagnosed but he definitely has additional needs we are just waiting for a pediatrician to review the communication assessment but he has an ehcp in place at school and lots of assessments

It's very sad when alot of parents have to fight so hard for their children to get what they are entitled too in the way of support

Mum2two7 · 12/04/2023 15:20

Rang today told should be with dm in about a week so should have decision within 2.
Is the "should be with dm in about a week" their estimation based on the scan date or can they actually see where the form is in the queue

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 16:03

How long where u waiting for your call to be answered ? X

One hour!

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 16:36

1hr20mins for me just got told looking at 13 weeks before they even start to look at it once a decision Is made they will either text and send a letter or just send a letter she said they don't put updates on the system all she can tell me is they got it on the 6/2 and how long it's taking so im not sure how some are being told if there's is with a DM or not if they don't update the system at each stage seems it's only updated once a decision Is made I'm no more informed than I was 1hr and 30mins ago 😂🥴🙈

Mumtodiabetic · 12/04/2023 17:08

@Lodol so only just seen ur message. He was given high rate care. We sent in his type 1 diagnosis letter and a letter stating he is hypo unaware. That’s it and no decision maker didn’t call me x

I really think it depeends who you speak too!

Last time I called I was told they can’t see certain information when I was asking questions. When I called this morning, I spoke to a super helpful guy who told me that my scan date was 20/03 and and that my son’s claim was still in the queue waiting to be allocated to a DM.

He said the wait should approximately be 13 weeks and he’ll send out another letter to me. Some are some helpful and some aren’t that much!

Mariekel · 12/04/2023 17:20

@Daisymum18 I think if depends who you talk to some can be right grumpy bums and just say no update. When it gets sent to the dm it will say on the computer. I spoke to a gentleman today and said it was sent to dm yesterday .

Daisymum18 · 12/04/2023 17:20

She sounded rather exasperated to be honest probably been asked the same questions hundreds of times today I'm just going to leave it alone and wait we are in week 10 of waiting so 3-4weeks more won't hurt

Dana81 · 12/04/2023 21:01

Hi all , rang last monday and yesterday , same answer its with DM . Scan date 19/12

Sarahc91 · 13/04/2023 09:02

megan345 · 13/04/2023 09:03

@Sarahc91 we are 12 weeks tomorrow! hoping to hear something soon🙏x

Alex900 · 13/04/2023 09:05

@megan345 we are also 12 weeks tomorrow. I’m growing very impatient, I’m filled with negativity, I’m wanting to ring every day just to see if it’s been decided yet 🙈 this has been a long wait x

megan345 · 13/04/2023 09:06

@Alex900 i try not to think about it but its so hard and i feel like i'm at least going to have to do an MR for him too due to his age x

Sarahc91 · 13/04/2023 09:11

Good luck to you both xx hopefully our kids get what they deserve x

Lodol · 13/04/2023 09:43
