Currently been on hold an hour but it's past 5 will they still answer as I called at 4.20 ?

megan345 · 11/04/2023 17:22

@Daisymum18 you should be fine as you're in a queue x

Daisymum18 · 11/04/2023 17:24

So I'm assuming calls made at 5 or after will get the phone lines closed message but existing calls will still be answered even after closing

Daisymum18 · 11/04/2023 17:32

Wow an hour and 10mins on hold then message plays service temporarily unavailable 🥴

Got awarded HRC today for my 3 year daughter who is suspected of having ASD and SPD! I feel so emotional, it is so much more than the money - i poured my heart out in that form and someone somewhere read it and agreed that she deserves some support! Scan date 10/01 but payment backdated to 30/12 for some reason - anyone know if we should be entitled to anything else? We now earn too much for UC or TC due to a new job this year!

Does she go to nursery? Presumably if she does she gets 3yr old funding anyway, but Worth letting them know about the award as they may be able to claim additional funding for her to enable them to buy any equipment etc. Our nursery use this additional funding to buy items aligned with that child's specific interests 🙂

Shellbel10 · 12/04/2023 06:28

Brilliant outcome @MamaWard can I ask what evidence you sent in

AnxietyMumma · 12/04/2023 07:03

Has anyone received their award notice from being awarded around the 24th March?!

Not sure whether to attempt calling them and asking for them to resend it

MamaWard · 12/04/2023 07:06

I only had a report from Isend to send in, my sister completed the additional person section. I just spoke from the heart, I didn't rush - took almost a month to complete so I made sure I included everything. I'm so pleased for her.

Thank you that is super helpful.

Shellbel10 · 12/04/2023 07:41

My son is exactly the same suspected asd and spd I got turned down last year and have got new forms to make a new claim. I have 2 years worth of ieps and occupational therapist assessment report. You’ve given me new hope!

Downtown123 · 12/04/2023 08:52

Did you appeal?

Mariekel · 12/04/2023 09:56

I called today to see if there was any update, im currently 12wk 1 day waiting, my scan date 17.1 and was told my boys application was sent to the dm yesterday. So they must be getting through them quicker now.

Shellbel10 · 12/04/2023 09:57

No I didn’t appeal

Downtown123 · 12/04/2023 10:06

Do they all do it at one centre. My scan date was the 11/01. It’s been 13 weeks today. I’m wondering if it’s been declined as some have heard after this date. Do you just receive a letter in the post if declined or do they send a text? Thanks

Do you know how long it's usually with dm for?

Mariekel · 12/04/2023 10:12

#Mum2two7 I'm not sure by reading the messages on this tread it seems to be anything from 1 day to a week.

chuggins · 12/04/2023 10:25

@Mum2two7
My sons was with a dm and a decision made on the same day

I didn't have either but I rang Tuesday and they told me a decision had already been made mine was exactly 12 weeks since scan date (13/01) so maybe worth giving them a call if you haven't already. He told me the decision how much back pay and when the first payment was

BlackBarbies · 12/04/2023 10:29

Has anyone been able to get through today? I’ve called twice and the phones been put down once all the automatic messages have gone through. Maybe I’ll wait until the end of the week😅

Mariekel · 12/04/2023 10:31

I got through this moring was only on phone for 34 mins

Downtown123 · 12/04/2023 10:59

I had to ring the other week to change contact details and it took me a hour and a half to get through. I will just wait until I hear from them. Too much stress this is

megan345 · 12/04/2023 11:00

i want to call to see if they've got my extra evidence but too scared to be sat on hold for hours

Mariekel · 12/04/2023 11:05

@megan345 I had phone on loudspeaker an got on with my cleaning. I find it better doing that otherwise I sit there clock watch how long I've been on

BlackBarbies · 12/04/2023 11:26

Thank you all, I’ll try them again now.

When you guys first sent your form off, how did you know it had been received? Did you receive a letter or text etc?

I’m getting a bit worried as I sent a form off in January but they didn’t receive it. I sent one off last month and when I called they said they received it and will send a letter to confirm that they’ve got it and what happens next. It’s been nearly 4 weeks but no letter😅 it’s probably fine but I’m slightly paranoid

MummyH2022 · 12/04/2023 11:27

@Mumtodiabetic we got middle rate, received letter today for my diabetic 7yr old. We luckily never have to fill out another form awarded until 2032. When she will be 17 and moving over to pip I presume.
