Haven’t written for a while, my son was awarded hrc just under 3 weeks a go. Told universal credit immediately and asked for disabled and carers element to be backdated and was told it was sent off to be reviewed. Well 2+ weeks later and we are still waiting. We had both elements added to our last payment so that’s no issue, but just wondering how long people waited to hear about the backpay?

this exact same thing happened to me, 3 weeks ago too still waiting x

Mumtodiabetic · 06/04/2023 08:21

You've inspired me to give them a call see where my sons claim is at. Scan date 13/01. Really pleased for yours

chuggins · 06/04/2023 09:32

My sons still not with anyone yet. Hate this wait

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 06/04/2023 10:35

The waiting is awful isn’t it. Just 23 weeks to go here 😭😂

23?! Is that since your scan date or in total since you requested forms?

Boymom10 · 06/04/2023 13:24

How long does the letter take to come through after renewal? It’s been over a week and haven’t received it

MrsB113 · 06/04/2023 14:00

I've been following this thread for what seem like forever. My dd has been diagnosed with Arfid and we are still awaiting an assessment for Autism, scan date is 27/01 - new claim. Praying the wait times have come down abit now and its closer to 12 than the 15 I was quoted a month ago.

It’s because it’s a change of circumstances, because my son already has an award it’s not seen as a priority.
it’s my own fault, he’s been on middle rate since he was 2, he’s now 8 and non verbal, still in nappies and sleeps 4 hours a night.

chuggins · 06/04/2023 15:17

@WouldJudasLeaveIt
I'm With you now. Seems like renewals and change of circumstances wait times are even worse

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 06/04/2023 15:49

Yeah they’re doing renewals right up until the last moment apparently.

I was told last thursday to expect another 4/5 weeks, my scan date is 20/01☹️

chuggins · 06/04/2023 16:23

I'm assuming nothing will be dealt with over the Easter weekend until Tuesday now or do we think they'll still be working?🤷‍♀️

Snickerdoodles19 · 06/04/2023 16:26

@Boymom10 it took 11 days for mine to come through xx

MrsB113 · 06/04/2023 17:21

I have further evidence to submit next week too, I've been advised to call it in rather than post as it may be too late. Hopefully the staff ate working hard on the backlog and we don't have much longer to wait

Daisymum18 · 06/04/2023 17:53

It'll be week 10 of waiting come Monday for my daughters dla claim SD 6/2 and week 2 for my sons SD 29/3
I have received the sorry it's taking so long letter for my daughters claim a couple of weeks ago
I called mid week on week 8 and was told current processing time is 14 and a half to 15weeks so probably mid may before a DM will be assigned her claim so I'll wait till mid may before I chase it any further
My son's is probably still at registration stage so no point calling about his
The wait and not knowing is awful originally was told upto 12 weeks in the letter they send but evadently that's not the case but here's hoping almost at the finish line for my daisy doo

The wait is agonising and to think we could be waiting all this time and still not get the results we hope for.

Hi im new here but been watching this thread daily for few weeks.
My sons claim scan date was 20/1 we where told we'd have decision by end April.. seeing others posts of around similar times I'm thinking they've now increased the time due to bank Holidays over easter. I'm so frustrated as was preparing myself for some sort of decision end of this month but seems I'll be waiting longer. Its reassuring to see people with scan dates of 9th getting their decision though

Good luck to everyone

Morning everyone hope your all having a lovely Easter weekend
I received the letter that they have got my son's claim this morning SD 29/3 letter sent 1/4 it took them two weeks to send the first letter for my daughters so here's hoping the fact it only took 3days for them to send the letter regarding my son's claim fingers crossed might be an indication things are moving a little quicker now through the system
Been given the standard upto 12 week time frame

Gp123456 · 10/04/2023 19:49
