Ive been awarded HRC!! I'm soooooooo happy it just proves writing from your heart how everyday is a struggle does correlate to an award, due to age its an 2yr award but anything is better than nothing! Thank you all for your help past few weeks! X

@Waitingmummy thankyou I thought it was as my scan dates 17.2 .23 I rang last week and they said it's taking 14 weeks

I got the same text this morning my scan date is 19/01 is yours similar?
I also got a letter about 3 weeks ago confirming the same. I phone last week to check some additional info had been received and they advised me it’s another 4-6 week wait

@Lodol hi yes mines the 17.2 when I called Fri they said 14 weeks I'm on week 10 today so hopefully just another 4 to go. I got the letter aswell around 3 weeks ago. @Waitingmummy congratulations finally your wait is over

It’s such a worry when your waiting isn’t it. My son has ASD, SPD, OCD and epilepsy, and waiting to be seen as they think he has Tourette’s and/or tick. I sent hospital letters and wrote 26 pages of additional information. I always worry as a few years ago they turned me down. I appealed and I won and they backdated the 10 months. I try to give so much so we’re not in that position again but it’s such a nervous time isn’t it.

Hey everyone! been following this thread for a couple days as have been trying to estimate how long we have left😂 i rang for forms 04/01 and sent them off 13/01, i got a letter to say they received my claim and a letter to send off my childs birth certificate which came back to us about 3 and 1/2 weeks ago, i misplaced the letter though that said when our scan date was so just wondering how long it roughly is if you sent your letter with the freepost envelope?

my sons is a new claim as well, and he’s 11 months old! he’s got a genetic deletion that causes severe low muscle tone, epilepsy etc! i didn’t get to send off much evidence as we are still being referred for services since moving cities. but did send the geneticists letter, prescription letter and some other documents about his epilepsy.

I'm currently on week 8 they got my daughter claim on 6/2 last time I spoke with them I was told 14-15weeks from when they got it so probably won't be looked at till mid may my daughters is a new claim also but I sent recorded ... So they got your son's say end of Jan-ish I'd say may time end of April probably you'll hear something fingers crossed .... I keep toying with calling but I already know the answer it's in the que to be see by a DM probably may 🤷

I just wondered does the wait to receive a decision go from the scan date or the date you phoned?

@Lodol they told from the scan date, but they backdated my award to the day I sent the form which was the 12.12.22 it was scanned on 30.12.22 x

They only backdated my sons claim to the scan date, not the letter dare as it was received after the cut off due to royal mail strikes. Which they are obviously aware of. Its annoying but at least he has a claim in place now. Its also only til December 2024. Is that normal? He's 7 and is on HRC and LRM. I can't see his needs getting better. He's on the waiting list for ASD, ADHD, has sensory overload and presents as PDA

@AnxietyMumma that's what my little girl got for the same reasons, the man on the phone said to me we were awarded for 2 years that's the standard award time so maybe its the norm x
