@126t you need to see what your councils criteria is for a blue badge. You aren't automatically given one and will need ti apply for it

@ToughMum so frustrating that they can't be more helpful considering we've already waited so long and it isn't our fault there is such a massive back log. I just hope it's soon, as the thought of appeal is driving me crazy 😵‍💫 🤞

It’s a change of circumstances I’ve applied for apparently, they take 26 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️
I’ll have to put it to the back of my mind until September 😣

So today is my sons claim end date I received a 1 week payment this morning.. I’m not feeling very hopeful to be honest. And yesterday it hadn’t been looked at either. Has anyone’s ever gone over there renewal date?

@Snickerdoodles19 yes I just have to take my eldest to college then I will ring. I’m on a group on Facebook and I counted another 13 people who’s end date was today also so I’m not holding my breath… dressing my son this morning for school and was just thinking it wrong we have to fight so much for them in everything it shouldn’t have to be this hard.. yet they will leave families with nothing now I can’t get wet wipes, nappies, his special foods. Etc

@Boymom10 its absolutely awful and nobody at all should have to deal with this as well as everything else in life, is there anyone that could help you out until you get it all sorted? X

@Snickerdoodles19 yes I’m very lucky and have a good family and my sons dad is good also and they have All said they will help me 😊 I also saved a little bit of money as I just knew this would happen. It’s just people have bills to pay. I have. Scar I pay for monthly with his money as he cant walk far due to his muscle tone. I mean asking people to pay for that!! I hope and pray it’s done by today

Gone onto my bank this morning and a payment from dla, looks like hes got HRC!! I am over the moon, scan date 21/12 so 14 weeks this week. Going to ring and confirm later. So happy

So for UC do I give them the date my dla was backdated to??

I received a txt thins morning saying still looking at my claim does that mean it's with dm or is that the normal txt for having got to your claim as of yet

@Waitingmummy Don't worry. If you haven't rung recently I would say do it. I rung yesterday and the morning was in my account this morning. I think by ringing your trigger them to click something too. My son has complex medical needs epilepsy a shunt and global delay so i would have been shocked if he didnt get. Fight and appeal if your not given but as mum you just know he is entitled. Don't give up. Positive vibes. I filled in carers but i am sure I've put the wrong date in the claim as asked them to backdate to when DLA backdated but will see what they say. Also if anyone knows any other benefits I can claim please. I've never done this before. Doubt I would be eligible for UC..

I renewed, filled in the form and had confirmation of award three weeks later.

Thank you going to try calling them today, still no payment in my account so assuming still not been looked at :( I don't understand why it's taking so long also I'm not holding out much hope honestly I didn't get the 'professionals who knows you ' section @ToughMum Google citizens advice and see what else you'll be eligible for I'm sure uc element should be awarded?

I had a text from DWP this morning saying

"We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it."

is this a standard boilerplate text they send out?

Is your award date when you was backdated to, or when a decision was made, I'm confused what to write for uc?🤔

@Snickerdoodles19 omg yesssss!!! He stayed the same!!! Hrc Lrm till 2027!!!!!!! I’m fell to the floor crying.. I’m so happy my carers has stopped for now until they update it… but I’m just so happy 😁
