Called up today and the wait gets pushed back further and further has anyone been awarded recently

@Snickerdoodles19 i will phone back in the morning I have just contacted carers and they were lovely about it but as of tomorrow my carer does stop which I understand. I will give it a week and then see what happens there. I just don’t think it’s fair as I’ve done my part and got it back to them. They have had it 4months…

@Boymom10 oh I know I think it’s horrendous to be honest and next time I will definitely not be sending it back months early if it’s going to be like this xx

is this for the child disability element, if so im wondering too, i notified them 10days ago with a change of circumstance and i wrote the wrong date 🙈 ive just seen on my journal ill be getting child disability element but no back pay so i called them and they said ive put the wrong date so ive updated it now lol so hoping to hear soon x

@tbxx lol Yes it is mine it's now on 18 days i was told no time limit but it's a really long wait

@Boymom10 I've seen claims go as urgent awarded in the same day. Slightly different but my sons was flagged on Friday morning stating a manager needed to look at it, he was awarded in the afternoon (found out this morning)

thats so good im really happy for you, i did all the changes too on the day i found out and only today realised i put in all the wrong dates so no back payments as of yet, ive just called around and made amendments so hopefully i can get the back payment soon x

@AnxietyMumma I hope so this stress and anxiety is enough to put someone in hospital. as we all know we have enough stress in our day to day lives without this.. I mean I’m trying to get my 12 year old son out of nappies on a daily basis and he just has self harming outburst..so while his in school I have 100 other things to do rather than chasing this around and be worrying about it making myself sick over it 😠…

I am on the phone to them now. This is the 4th time in weeks I have just put the phone down after 1 hour. But today I will stay on as we are in week 13.... I pray it's not a rejection because it will mean more work with appeal. Scan is 29th December

Just an update. I got through after 45 mins and the lady said my son has been awarded HRC. Pleased as I can now apply for Carers. I asked when it was awarded she didn't tell me but from her tone sounded like a while ago. Scan is 29th December 2022. All the best people. Believe and you shall get what is fair for you and your child. Take care all. This forum really helped me and my anxiety whilst I waited the decision. Eager to see the letter now. Already applied for Blue Badge but now applying for carers.

Hi so does anyone know if applying for carers element and child disability element on UC if you write the day you were awarded or the day they have backdated your award to? I'm confused 😂

Does anyone have any idea how long it roughly takes from recovering a letter stating “we are sorry we have not given you a desist on yet”

I rang and mind isn’t with dm yet .. I’m just going to try ring back Thursday 😫 x

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your element backdated. Got a letter today on my journal to say special circumstances apply so it can be backdated thank u x

And what date to write when I was awarded or backdated award date? Xx

i called up and was spoken through it, its best to call up and let them talk you through it as i had to take my son off the claim then re add him straight back on clicking on the dla reward he recieves and what date it started, i put down my scan date from DLA as thats when i was back dated to anyways, im just waiting now really to see what happens x

Just for anyone on a scan date around 13/01 I've called them today to check if they've received some extra information and when I asked how much longer I'm looking at they said another 4/5 weeks

Spoke to the most blaze human alive this morning, who informed me my application still hasn't been looked at and it shouldn't be to much longer & that was it. Scan date 29/12, 12weeks and 4days. 🥱

@chuggins thank you that’s good to know my scan date is 9/1/23 x
