@Supermom92 congrats. Wish I had help on now lol. Your date is week before mine so I will try next week...

Supermom92 · 24/03/2023 20:55

It was a female who rang me and she asked how the medication was going and how she was when out and what she was like at roads/crossing. I actually didn't fill the mobility part of the form out I stated I had no concerns with her mobility. But someone has said there is more to the mobility I'm guessing it because she could be a danger crossing roads as she acts silly sometime which I did state on the phone when she asked And that was it . They don't call everyone I don't think just only if they have further questions about it I assume .

I'm in the Manchester area,so my claim was dealt with in the Wolverhampton site, ( says on my claim form)
He said she was awarded on the 22nd March so 2 days ago, so you may hear something soon, have you phoned them for a update? X

I called today they said it should be with DM this weekend I'm a nervous wreck fingers crossed for a decision on Monday - I'll try ringing first thing but really worried about lack of evidence and no formal diagnosis, also didn't give consent for them to contact gp nursery etc because it said it didn't affect the claim? Was this wrong to do?

Snickerdoodles19 · 25/03/2023 05:47

@Waitingmummy they will just use the information you have provided if you didn’t give consent to contact gp/nursery

Mumrobyn4 · 25/03/2023 09:38

My daughter has just turned 3 (February), I only had a SALT report to send in, she doesn't go to nursery as I don't think she is ready, the health visitor referred her to pediatrics, and SALT referred her to the communications team. The dm didnt phone me, so just went off what I wrote, which must have been enough evidence. Good luck everyone

Waitingmummy hope you get some good news soon 😊

Cacb15 · 25/03/2023 15:02

Does anyone know roughly how long claims are with a DM tia

clareykb · 25/03/2023 18:49

Hi am new here posted off DD (aged 10) Autism diagnosis- Form about 10 days ago but haven't had anything to say it has been recieved yet? Is this normal? I work in a related field and am prepared for it to be ages but thought would have heard if it had been recieved by now

BlackBarbies · 25/03/2023 22:01

@clareykb hey! I sent my form off on Thurs 17th of this month. I called them a few days ago to check if they received it as Royal Mail tracking said delivered and I was told they received it Monday 20th. So it only took three days.

I said to the woman that I thought I’d get notified by a text or something but she said that a letter gets sent out to say that it’s been received. The letter usually takes 7-10 working days to come as it’s sent my second class. Maybe give them a call on Monday and check? It’s most likely that they’ve received it by now

clareykb · 25/03/2023 22:03

Thanks @BlackBarbies that's super helpful will do!

BlackBarbies · 25/03/2023 22:05

@clareykb no probs. My previous form got lost in January as they never received it so I was really paranoid about this one😂 I’m sure they’ve got it though:) update us once you know!

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/03/2023 09:24

@Boymom10 are you ringing up today?

Boymom10 · 27/03/2023 09:28

@Snickerdoodles19 yeah I’m just so panicky I need to calm myself first. I’m just praying it’s done so I can inform carers allowances so I don’t miss payments as on another group lots of people haven’t had there’s today… please all think happy positive vibes and thoughts 😊

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/03/2023 09:28

@Boymom10 awww try to stay calm, the sooner you do it the sooner you know x

AnxietyMumma · 27/03/2023 09:32

Omg I could cry.... just got off the phone. My son was awarded on Friday (no text even though DM requested it) and he's been awarded HRC and LRM

Those of you who have followed know that my sons claim had to be overlooked by a manager to check the DM was following correct procedures

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/03/2023 09:35

@AnxietyMumma congrats! Glad the wait is over for you☺️☺️

AnxietyMumma · 27/03/2023 09:41

@Snickerdoodles19 thanks so much

I'm going to linger a bit longer and keep my fingers crossed for all you guys, new claims and renewals 🤞

Boymom10 · 27/03/2023 10:31

Wow I was just on a Facebook group for children with DLA and there was so many people who’s claim ends today tomorrow even over the weekend and they have called and not one of them are with a dm!!!! Currently on hold 🙏

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/03/2023 10:32

Good luck x

Neikz · 27/03/2023 10:48

Hi anyone know roughly how long UC takes to back date payments?

Boymom10 · 27/03/2023 10:51

No not with a dm yet.. she told me to give them a week. I explained now that as of tomorrow all money will stop she said all she can do is mark it as urgent that can take a week or so!!! Absolutely great stuff I’m so upset.. I don’t know who I need to inform etc tax credit income support? Housing benefit I just don’t know what to do?

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/03/2023 11:06

@Boymom10 i know with tax credits you have 1 month to notify of any changes, I’m not sure about the others xx
