@Supermom92 what is she in the process of getting diagnosed for? She obviously masking at school and keeping it in then exploding when she gets home. The best thing to do is to pick your battles with her and think if it’s worth causing the uproar it will cause, that’s what I do with my son when he’s like that, my eldest son has made comments like that before aswell and it is very upsetting, I knew that he didn’t know what he was saying and was just saying it when he was having his angry moments but obviously if there’s a self harm concern then bring it up with her consultants

Patientlywaitingx2 · 21/03/2023 08:36

Wonder if we get a text today seen people awarded same day

@Supermom92 I'd say definitely masking at school home is her safe space where she can let her emotions out my son is 5 he is suspected asd or ADHD not yet diagnosed and he tells us multiple times a day he's so sad it makes it more difficult because while I know he's saying it in the moment because he isn't getting what he wants his dad takes it to heart his dad has asd and ADHD my daughter was diagnosed with asd November and she has started to get aggressive she doesn't like her brother (5) in her space she will try to grab hit and sit gritting her teeth and has recently started hitting herself on the head when she is overwhelmed it's not nice to see but for a 4year old dainty little dot she's strong both myself and her dad are short and quite stocky and both our children are strong our son can push against his dad and physically move him so both of them are only going to get stronger and that's a little frightening when they both have aggressive outburst ....sorry I'm just rambling

Do what it says in the pic, then write on your journal and say just to confirm you've made changes to a child as they've been award dla from (insert award date) state you are requesting the disabled child and carers element to be backdated from the dla claim, the reason for the delay is that you've told them as soon as you've found out yourself from dla.

It will save time, if you don't write the reason why it's delayed in telling them, they will ask after waiting then you will wait again for them to send to DM, it just cuts the middle out.

I do apologise my child drew on the print out I made lol xx

Today is a good day!! I have just received a backdated payment all the way from September when I first asked for the forms but never received them… I can’t stop crying! I have no idea if he’s MRC or HRC but I am so relieved the wait is over… I honestly cannot stop crying and I’m not even sure what I’m crying over, my son deserves this so much ❤️ Scan date is 19/12!

Ah fantastic ❤️
I cried to the woman on the phone when she told me. I think it's such a fight for any sort of help and just knowing something has been done (as it should be) is very overwhelming xx

Thanks everybody ❤️

I also read somewhere it’s best to write in your journal and state you want it backdated, is this right? As sometimes they can be sneaky and not do it without you asking!
