Just been told it's taken Soo long because my daughter didn't have a national insurance number! She now has one and is with case manager. Anyone know how long it's with them for! Feel like I'm getting told different everytime I ring 😵‍💫

How did you get the national insurance number? Assuming your child is under 16?

My son is 10 and has just been diagnosed with ASD it’s been such a fight all his life with no one listening to me. Getting constant remarks like he will catch up ect. He has suffered incontinence for last last 3 years and anyone been awarded on this bases. What rate did u get?

My daughter has been on hight rate care since she was 5 years old due to incontinence she’s 15 now xx

Hi,
Hope everyone is well and had a good Christmas. Congratulations to those who have received positive news 🙏I rang up today just for an update was on hold for just over an hour then message said sorry unable to take call then I was cut off. My scan date is 4th October so I don’t think a decision will have been made yet but I’m just wanting to know a rough estimate of when I might hear. Mine is a change of circumstances claim. X

Haspiemum · 29/12/2022 19:26

Hi all,

Been watching not commented. Oct 7th scan date. Not phoned, hate the wait. Not sent much evidence as my little one is just in the process of it all. Sure she is ASD and ADHD like her brother. High care needs at home just hope they see it that way. Tried to explain best I can. She masks a lot at school. She is 5. It is being seen more now though, never believe you do they. Known she is like this since baby, she never ate solids till 2 n half, major mouth sensory issues. I will update if I hear anything.

I posted my youngest sons on the 11th November, only just had a confirmation letter through yesterday dated 13th December and they are now advising 12 weeks on the confirmation letter just to anyone that may be panicking about it.

Thank you I think I sent mine off at a similar time and was hoping to receive some sort of initial letter soon (hoping it hadn't gotten lost or something!) so that's good to know, I should receive a letter soon hopefully

Hi! We have the same scan date 😄 and also similar children. My just turned 6 year old son is in the process of getting a diagnosis from adhd and asd. Like you I didn't send it much evidence as were in the process and he also had high care needs at home but masks just a little at school. Fingers crossed for us!

MadmamMi · 30/12/2022 09:24

Any updates today?

Shellbel10 · 30/12/2022 09:33

If anyone has any updates on mandatory reconsideration that would be great. I got told could take upto 4 weeks

Did you get turned down? 😔

Shellbel10 · 30/12/2022 09:38

Yes

GirlmumTN · 30/12/2022 09:40

Can I ask if they give you reasons why it was declined? Did you send evidence In? I can't believe the amount of people being declined!

Shellbel10 · 30/12/2022 09:42

I don’t think I wrote a detailed enough account. I sent in copy of ieps and sleep prescription

Melissajade123 · 30/12/2022 09:46

I Called up this morning.. scan date 7th October, it’s not with the DM yet was told to give it another 2 weeks and I should have a decision.

Thinking positively for you all who are still waiting. I had a payment in my bank this morning. My son has been awarded. Not sure which one yet so going to ring up today. Need to change my tax credits so need to ask about that.

Losttheplot1 · 30/12/2022 10:41

@mammaov3 may I ask how long it took from you finding out a decision had been made till you received the back payment?

mammaov3 · 30/12/2022 10:45

@Losttheplot1 i had a payment 2 days after i rang up as it takes about 4 working days from decision 🙃

kimlo · 30/12/2022 11:28

they have just rang. She wanted to know if I had recived an actual diagnosis since I filled out the forms because that would have meant she could award for longer. She still hasn't got one.

Scan date 26/9.
Higher rate care
lower rate mobility
awarded for 2 years.

GirlmumTN · 30/12/2022 11:34

Amazing news can I ask how old she is please

kimlo · 30/12/2022 11:40

@GirlmumTN she's 13.

Mummyto2boys1girl · 30/12/2022 12:05
