Hey everyone new to this been watching and reading for awhile now I’ve a scan date for my sons claim as 27th October had a call last week asking could I send an email over with his iep and a copy of his asd referral he also has bowel condition I sent the copy’s straight over to them and they were scanned on the system on the 23rd December I called today for to make sure these were received ok and was told the claim is with the decision maker just wondering how long it usually takes after going to decision maker.

I'm also wondering how long it's with decision maker as we rang yesterday to find out it's with decision maker

Mummyto2boys1girl · 30/12/2022 12:14

Really I’m new to all this so I have no idea What way it works but my sons now 9 and he’s been like this from he was 3 and has lots of extra care needs. I also probably should have says I’m in Northern Ireland making a claim.

kimlo · 30/12/2022 12:18

@GirlmumTN I rang on the 23rd and was told it was with a dm and ring back in the new year if I hadn't heard anything. Awarded today.

Landed for you! Hopefully we'll have a decision soon then 🙏 did you ring up? Or received payment x

kimlo · 30/12/2022 12:26

@GirlmumTN they rang me to ask a question then she told me. I was going to ring back later next week because of the amount of days they have been shut.

Karolinaa · 30/12/2022 13:31

I did call them, my claim was picked by the DM yesterday but there is no decission yet.
now I am really anxious

Shellbel10 · 30/12/2022 13:49

Wonder if they’re working tomorrow

kimlo · 30/12/2022 14:10

@Shellbel10 they'll be back on Tuesday.

Ollie20 · 30/12/2022 16:29

Scan date 28th September just rang my sons claim is with a decision maker pending a decision. So could be today which i highly doubt but said most likely next week i recon.

Kaylisa · 31/12/2022 12:44

I can’t remember what date I rang and found out my daughter got awarded, think it was 9th December I rang and they said she was awarded on the 8th. It was backdated to beginning of August.
I just got the letter yesterday to say she’s awarded til 31st July 2024. So 2yrs from when I rang for claim forms.

Amber2802 · 01/01/2023 09:49

Just putting mine to keep up with thread! Scan date 11/11.

Cody3 · 01/01/2023 11:26

Not to do with DLA but if any of you have been awarded might be worth checking out family fund I applied last year for clothes for my son and got a £200 voucher to spend I can reapply on 13th so will be an iPad as he’s been through 4 in the last year

AdhdMumOf3 · 01/01/2023 12:05

Leaving this here as we're a scan date of 4/11, rang to submit extra evidence and they said I should here by end of Jan but not holding my breath at hearing then haha

Teatime55 · 01/01/2023 12:12

Has anyone had carers allowance recently. I’m awaiting a decision on that.

Gemz8 · 01/01/2023 12:36

@Cody3 Hi, what evidence do they ask you to provide? Xx

Squishy1911 · 01/01/2023 13:08

Mine was 11/10 for my eldest son, it will be 12 weeks on tuesday so hoping in the 2/3 weeks that I will hear something.

Wintersmummy96 · 01/01/2023 16:20

Not DLA related, how long taking people to get backdated payment from UC for child disability element and carers element? Mine got sent to DM on 30th December

Yeah I left a message got no reply so I rang them they said would sent message over to case manager heard nothing so I rang next day and the case manager got back to me same day saying been sent to DM but wouldn’t know how long would take

Cody3 · 01/01/2023 16:53

@Gemz8 not 100% I last applied in 2021 you can start registration and see what it asks you for is probably say the DLA letter to prove your child gets it

Anotherfedupmum · 01/01/2023 16:57

Mine was sent to decision maker 29th an same day I had a decision and letter for backpay due 3rd Jan.. they said I could experience a delay due to the festive period but that wasn't the case.

mammaov3 · 01/01/2023 17:18

iff i claim carers element and they backdate it won't i have to pay the backpay money back anyway as they only allow one element witch ever is higher and im already in receipt of limited capability for work group ?
