Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Wow, congratulations 🥳 Can I ask what evidence you sent for HRM please as we were refused - she attends a special school also has autism and EHCP and various other needs but they refused the HRM and awarded LRM!!

Losttheplot1 · 28/12/2022 16:32

I really haven't got a clue.. I've worked full time since I can remember, but this year has thrown me a big bucket of poop. Made redundant end of July, marriage breakdown shortly after and then navigating the UC. I decided I would rather work than deal with them, found a job that in suited the children and myself (naively thought youngest would be okay at school) but September came and school can't accommodate his needs. I had to turn all work down as he's currently only allowed in the setting for an hour a day. I've found the whole process incredibly difficult to deal with as been hounded by one department to another and it all seems you can't sort one thing out without the other. 🤷 I'm just glad this chapter is almost over for a little while before it all starts again. Hopefully one day I'll be able to go back to work just for a little respite for myself

Gemz8 · 28/12/2022 16:38

@Losttheplot1 have you been awarded? It’s one thing after another isn’t it. Hopefully things start getting better x

looklook · 28/12/2022 16:48

@Tribaladventuremummy thank you.
I sent in her EHCP and Camhs report. EHCP stated she was working approx 4 years behind her peers. Her behaviours are also extreme and this was detailed in the Camhs report. We were awarded under virtually unable to walk. I didn't even know the criteria for it when I applied! I literally just wrote our day to day life and was so shocked when we were awarded.

MyBBGaremylife · 28/12/2022 23:16

hey been watching this page a while now. Scan date 17th October I can see they are nearing the end of September! Good luck for all around this time. Has anyone in October had a decision yet? Just intrigued.

xxlostxx · 29/12/2022 00:29

Following too. My scan date was 10th Oct. Will update when hear anything!

Squishy1911 · 29/12/2022 06:42

I posted my youngest sons on the 11th November, only just had a confirmation letter through yesterday dated 13th December and they are now advising 12 weeks on the confirmation letter just to anyone that may be panicking about it.

Mumtoella15 · 29/12/2022 08:20

my Scan date 5th October, I’ll update as soon as hear anything , going to call them today as I’ve only just received my daughters EHCP and also appointment for CAMS next week for sleep medication, my daughter is 15 and has a recent diagnosis of ASD and waiting for ADHD assessment, she’s been struggling to go to school for the past two years and since September only managed to go in for 6 hours , the school has now offered two hours a week of home tutoring with a tutor , she also has mental health issues , and just received a re-referral back into CAMS , just panicking that I’ve not sent in enough information as I’ve only just received these appointments letters in the past week , does anyone no what will happen with the award if she does get it as she’ll be 16 in 6 months , do we then need to apply of PIP instead ? Think I’ve seen someone awarded till they are 17 , but thought they need to apply for PIP at 16 ?

Squishy1911 · 29/12/2022 08:56

Yea definitely send the EHCP in as it is a very detailed document of who is involved and what help she needs, I don’t think they need appointment letter but make them aware of next appointments, as regards to supporting documentation just send in what you have the main thing is that the form has been filled in carefully as they look for specific words and phrases and always base you application in worse case day.

Squishy1911 · 29/12/2022 08:59

I think you will need to apply again for when she’s 16

Shellbel10 · 29/12/2022 09:04

I think they are open as a normal day today so good luck everyone

Mumtoella15 · 29/12/2022 09:05

Thanks , I’ll need to get the EHCP printed off and posted today then , and I’ll ask them for the address when I call them today as I can’t remember where to post to , not looking forward to re applying for when she’s 16 think I read you need to do it 6 months before their 16 , so I’ll be applying next month .

Squishy1911 · 29/12/2022 09:14

Just ask about the PIP to make sure because of you’ve only just applied for it and still waiting on a decision I’m not sure if they could carry it over with it being so close to her 16th birthday

JubileeTrifle · 29/12/2022 10:13

So I’ve had my back pay until December 22nd, so I assume I get paid again January 22nd?

GirlmumTN · 29/12/2022 13:05

Just been told it's taken Soo long because my daughter didn't have a national insurance number! She now has one and is with case manager. Anyone know how long it's with them for! Feel like I'm getting told different everytime I ring 😵‍💫

GirlmumTN · 29/12/2022 13:36
