Hi All, my scan date is 21/10, hoping to have a decision soon. Anyone had a decision with same scan date?
also what’s th likely outcome for child with undiagnosed autism and adhd, speech disorder and delayed academic levels? I’ve seen such varied outcomes. Thanks 🙏

Hi
My son is waiting for diagnosis for Autism but awarded higher rate .Its about the care needed not diagnosis .Please don't worry as long as you outlined the difficulties you face on a day to day basis is what counts not the condition it self.

Chaz5rascals · 22/01/2023 20:22

@Sjknmm6 It’s such a worrying time isn’t it? I found the form extremely unenjoyable 😂as someone else said it depends how much care the child needs during the day and at night as to whether they are awarded and also what rate they will get. Good luck.

Rang this morning at 9.00am on the dot, got through straight away. Still not with decision maker. Today is week 13
Was told it will go to decision maker this week. Can take up to a week and a half once with DM or could be sorted that day.

Well done, and fingers crossed for you. I am a week behind you. Even though I know I've still got a while to wait, I'm at the Nervous to Open Text Messages stage of waiting now.

VickieC86 · 23/01/2023 10:21

MadmamMi · 23/01/2023 10:47

Got approved for MRC and LRM ❤️

MadmamMi · 23/01/2023 10:47

Do tax credits backdate to scan date or award date?

Sjknmm6 · 23/01/2023 11:19

From what people have posted on this subject so far, I believe so. You have to make sure the fact there’s been delays in DLA award is clear when applying though. Hope this helps 😌

VickieC86 · 23/01/2023 11:37

I only got my letter a week ago saying it was received and today got a letter saying sorry for the delay cab sent it off didn’t know when till I called them up this morning an for out was scanned on the 17th

Sherie88xx · 23/01/2023 12:12

@MadmamMi
It’s from the date you started getting DLA which will be on the letter when you get it. So you tell tax credits that date. It’s usually from the date you asked for the DLA form. But you’re better off waiting for the reward letter before calling tax credits so you get the correct date and back pay. You will also need this letter to claim carers allowance.

Chocolateandstrawberries · 23/01/2023 12:30

I’m really starting to get more anxious as the weeks go on..
I hope I hear something soon

Christinaja · 23/01/2023 12:37

@gingergingerginger hoping it's pick up by the DM this week and have a decision by the end of the week 🤞good luck to you!

Chantelle28 · 23/01/2023 12:44

Christinaja · 23/01/2023 12:48

@Chantelle28 hi, have you rang up today. You are the same scan fate as me I think? 24th October

Chantelle28 · 23/01/2023 12:51

MadmamMi · 23/01/2023 13:05

I spoke to hmrc and they said award date which for me was yesterday x

Christinaja · 23/01/2023 13:05

@Chantelle28 yes I rang first thing this morning, should have waited until this afternoon really, was told it should be picked up by DM this week. Hopefully with a bit of luck!

Mammy2five · 23/01/2023 13:20

Hi, I rang for my sons dla forms 10/10 sent it back 1/11 and they received it 10/11. Is the 10/11 my scan date?

Mammy2five · 23/01/2023 13:25

Also, I applied for dla last year for my now two year old, who has undiagnosed autism, and was awarded hrc and it only took around 9 weeks. I’ve applied again for my youngest son, who also has undiagnosed autism, and it’s been almost 11 weeks now and still not heard anything. By the looks of things I’ve got a few more weeks before I hear anything yet.

icreatedthemadhouse · 23/01/2023 14:02

just an update everyone, I applied for my 4yo boy, scan date 18/10, suspected adhd, pda, sensory processing, emotional development delay, i really was expecting a decline as he doesn't have a diagnosis yet but I've just called and he's been awarded HRC until September next year. I'm so relieved it means i can get him all the safety bits he needs plus I'm considering paying privately for a diagnosis as NHS waiting lists are long. Good luck everyone

Chaz5rascals · 23/01/2023 14:27

@Mammy2five Hi, it does seem to be taking a long time. I don’t think I’ve seen many people awarded before 14 weeks. Our date is 14/11 so we’re only 10 weeks in.

mammaov3 · 23/01/2023 14:28

Hi my son was awarded dla December but iv been seeing alot of people mentioning telling tax credits, is it working tax credit people are talking about or child tax credit ? x

OP posts:
Brummumofm · 23/01/2023 14:32

@mammaov3 when you tell tax credits they add on a disability element I don’t know if working tax makes any difference to it, but it’s added onto the child tax credits I think it’s £65 a week for mid rate and 95 for higher rate if that helps any x
