Has anyone ever got accepted or no anyone who's got accepted for sickle cell disease I applied when my little one was 3 months old
Scan date 28.11 I know I have a long way to go

xxlostxx · 19/01/2023 13:36

Update: received payment yesterday, didn't get a text and no letter yet. Looks like my dd got mid rate care and low rate mobility. I'm really pleased and relieved!
Scan date was 10th October. Hope you all don't have too much longer to wait.

Christinaja · 19/01/2023 13:38

@Chantelle28 thanks for the reply.
I did ring up at 12weeks that was Monday just gone they said looking at 13 /14weeks. I have seen a few post been awarded around the 14week mark on this thread then others are waiting longer. Is yours a new claim?

Christinaja · 19/01/2023 13:39

@Christinaja I did call on Monday and was told a week or so that they was going to DM at 13 week and should only be a up to a week later and they are working weekends

Christinaja · 19/01/2023 14:00

Disabledmom · 19/01/2023 14:44

Hi everyone has anyone received this text before and have been awarded??

We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.

Squishy1911 · 19/01/2023 14:45

I’m hoping so too, I phoned up yesterday and was told it was with a decision maker and shouldn’t be much longer, it was 14 weeks on Tuesday just gone

Christinaja · 19/01/2023 16:19

@Disabledmom 👋

I had this txt message on Tuesday. I think it's just an automatic generated messaged that they send. What is your scan date.

Christinaja · 19/01/2023 16:20

@Honeypie91 is your scan date 24th October also?

Honeypie91 · 19/01/2023 16:45

No mines 31st oct

gingergingerginger · 19/01/2023 17:05

@Disabledmom Looking on here and on FB a whole tranche of us got this message at the exact same time a couple of days ago. I think they are just trying to prevent too many people from calling because they are so behind. It doesn't mean you haven't been awarded. I think most people who got it aren't even with a DM yet.

Disabledmom · 19/01/2023 17:33

It’s so bad I don’t even know what a scan date is 🫣
I do know
I requested forms 27 september
sent it back 31st October
they got it on 1 November

Oh thank you I have a little hope. I thought I’d been refused.

Scan date 10/10, just called. Confirmed my claim has been allocated but no decision. Was told they are work though 32,000 claims and wait time is now 13-16 weeks. Called at 09:00, got straight through. Lucy x

Got a text this afternoon following my phone call this morning saying they have decided my child qualifies for DLA, not sure what he’s been awarded, for how long or when it will be paid. Might be worth a call if you are 14 weeks or more with no news.

Boyandgirlmum23 · 19/01/2023 18:46

Sounds exactly the same as my son and the same age. My scan 19.12 x

Charlenecmp · 19/01/2023 19:33

Hi everyone was just wondering how long renewals are taking atm please

Squishy1911 · 19/01/2023 19:39

@Charlenecmp im waiting on renewal currently at 14 weeks on Tuesday just gone it’s with a dm so hopefully by next week

Charlenecmp · 19/01/2023 19:49

@Squishy1911 o blimey ages then only just sent them off lol

CMVB · 19/01/2023 19:53

Charlenecmp they’re looking at renewals a couple of weeks before the claim is due to end. Mine was due to run out 17/01, they received it 18/11 and a decision was made 05/01. When I rang to find out decision they said they’re not even looking at renewals until they’re just about to run out x

Shatandfattered · 19/01/2023 22:38

Is it definitely only a weekish once the case is with a decision maker?
