DLA waiting times part 7

Hi everyone i started new thread as the other one was getting full my scan date is 23rd September still waiting for decision.

We’ve had a text saying our son qualifies! Anyone else who’s had a text did you call them to see what you got or did you wait for the letter?

Dose this mean it could be with a decision maker ?We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.
My first time receiving a text From DLA my other child no texts
And dose it mean I am likely to get a text of she is awarded

@Chantelle28 what's your scan date? I just got the same text. Scan date 2/11, so I'm not expecting a decision for a few weeks.

Scan date 24th October had the same txt today also

When we originally applied for Ds he was nearly 4 they only awarded it until his 5th birthday.
When we did the renewal he was given award until 2029

I’ve had the same message as you guys too! My scan date is 14/11, hopefully not too much longer 🤞🏻

Received the same text today, scan date 14/11 so expecting it to be a few more weeks. Sorry to those declined. It seems they are working a few weeks behind.

I've received the same text today. Scan date 9/11.

i think different call handlers say different things all the time, i rang before christmas and they told me they don’t send texts anymore 🙄

Hi I received the same text message today.scan date the 14/10 hopefully not to long now.

My scan date 09/11 not had any texts at all

I've had that text today too scan date 2/11

I recieved the txt today also , I called yesterday & was told it would be going to the dm in 2 weeks 🤞🏼 it’s sooner !

I called today as its 13 weeks. Scan date 18/10. He said it will be with the decision maker by Friday as they are working on claims at 13 weeks. He also said I should hear with a decision within 2 weeks.

I'm confused are they sending texts saying they qualify before it's been to dm 🙈 I thought our text meant it was all done 😭

Our scan date is 4/11 and I recieved a letter last week saying sorry its taking so long basically then a text today the same as eveeyone else's. It's like waiting to be shot all this

@GirlmumTN what did your text say? Some people receive a text letting them know a decision has been made but it sounds like most of the texts today were letting people know when a decision has been made a letter would be sent out plus an apology. It’s quite a wait isn’t it.

It says we have decided your child qualifies for dla and a letter will be received within two weeks

@GirlmumTN that sounds very much like confirmation of an award to me. The other text that some of us received today was a generic message apologising for the delay and letting us know when a decision is made (like yours has been) we will receive a letter. Some people phone them to ask what rates they have been awarded once they receive the text you got today, that could help ease your stress.

@Lilbunnyfufu ah right, i was going to ring them just to ask why only until his 5th birthday i thought it might of been due to his main problem been savere asthma and them thinking he will grow out of it by tge age of 5 but his consultant has already seid he will most likely have his for life it may get better when he's a teenager but will get worse again in adolescents, he is 4 on monday so im guessing i will have to renew in next 6 months or so .

Do you have to ring up and ask when it qualifies till once your child has been awarded and is it same for carers allowance? I’ve not seen any dates on letters from when I first applied

Hi all scan date 12/10 just called and application approved yesterday, would have been 14 weeks today. Back payment sent should
be with me 3-5 days
