Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mumofboysteamginge · 16/01/2023 18:25

You would have thought that the renewals are done in enough time, how stressful!

Squishy1911 · 16/01/2023 18:36

I know it’s frustrating and stressful but even though it’s a renewal they still class it as a new claim, I think they are leaving them until
a few weeks before end date aswell to get through the back log of new claims

Mumofboysteamginge · 16/01/2023 18:42

You would have thought that it could have all been done electronically now as well so it is faster adding new evidence etc! X

Mammyb146 · 16/01/2023 18:47

Long time lurker here.
Called today as its hit the 14 weeks mark. Scan date of the 12th October. It is now with decision maker and have been told will hear by Friday. Hope that helps others with a similar scan date.

Squishy1911 · 16/01/2023 18:47

Mines 11/10 I’m hoping so good luck!

Mammyb146 · 16/01/2023 19:25

Good luck :)

CMVB · 16/01/2023 21:08

pigsmightflyagain Hi, I wouldn’t worry if your current claim doesn’t end until February. Mine was due to run out 17/01, they received my forms 18/11 and the decision was made to renew on 5th Jan so a couple of weeks before the claim run out. I did also get the carers allowance letter saying it was being stopped but apparently that’s standard.

Hannaway · 16/01/2023 22:00

Scan date on 5th October. Called today and they have said that my son has been declined!!!! 🤬

Augus · 17/01/2023 06:14

Hello Everyon. I have Been a silent reader for a while. 2022 has been the hardest year, I had to give up on my nursing degree in year 3, and the weekely journey of going to UC felt like a reminder of my failure. With UC
looking for work while I was exhausted for looking after my child was exhausting. We can all relate. Everyone stay strong. GOOD NEWS, scan date was 12/10. I woke up to DLA money. My childs DLA claim was on ADHD, his not yet been diagnosed but his been on reduced timetable at school for almost 2 years now and that was the evidence i sent in. I was worried that i did not express our snuggles as I did not write much, but the money is definitely not LRC. I will update when the letter comes through. Wednesdays seems to be the lucky day as I have noticed alot of people's money has gone through on Wednesdays. Now I have UC to deal with. All the best Everyone keep strong.

Kaylisa · 17/01/2023 06:58

Congratulations!
btw today is Tuesday 😉
but I think you’re right, money only seems to go in in a Tuesday/Wednesday. Could be wrong but don’t notice people say it on other days

GirlmumTN · 17/01/2023 07:19

Morning how long after a text to say your child qualifies is a payment made? X

Augus · 17/01/2023 07:47

@Kaylisa Oooo yea it is Tuesday. I'm a day head
@GirlmumTN I got a text on 8th December so about 6 weeks. But i assumun it all just depends on individual cases just incase they need to also check with the GP for information which can also take longer.

Mumtoella15 · 17/01/2023 10:24

Just phoned up , scan date 5/10 , have been awarded HRC LRM , so happy the wait is now over , should expect the back dated payment within 3-5 days ,

MadmamMi · 17/01/2023 10:32

Just rang, 12/10 scan date, with the DM at the moment.

Mumofboysteamginge · 17/01/2023 10:47

@Hannaway have they given you a reason? Are you going to do a reconsideration?

Hannaway · 17/01/2023 10:48

Mumofboysteamginge · 17/01/2023 10:47

@Hannaway have they given you a reason? Are you going to do a reconsideration?

I'm waiting for letter with reason and yes I will appeal it.

Jodie751 · 17/01/2023 10:48

I called this morning too, scan date 12/10 ours is also with a decision maker

Mumofboysteamginge · 17/01/2023 10:49

Hannaway · 17/01/2023 10:48

I'm waiting for letter with reason and yes I will appeal it.

Don’t blame you! Did you send much supporting evidence with your claim? Xxx

Maggiemum97 · 17/01/2023 11:01

Hi everyone so I’ve been declined dla today after 18 week wait! My LO has adhd and withholds stools constant incontinence and refuses medication as does not want to open bowels. They have said as she is academically bright and doesn’t effect school work and can wear pull ups for incontinence! Has anyone had a mandatory reconsideration and been successful? How long does it usually take? I’m so shocked we where declined she is awake every single night!

Sairx3 · 17/01/2023 11:19

I put a claim in for my 4 year Old son October 2022, I had a letter the 10th October to have they have received my application, I then received another the 16th December saying they was still dealing with my application but haven' heard anything, its been 14 weeks and not a thing. I tried ringing them but once I get through the line goes dead. What more can I do, just want to hear a yes or no.

Hannaway · 17/01/2023 11:22

I sent assesments from peadtricians, speach and language and from gp. I'm absaloutly livid. Hoping letter comes today so I understand more.

Squishy1911 · 17/01/2023 11:33

Did you have any support documents from school to say that they struggle to do the work? Did you give a detailed description of their needs at home?

Maggiemum97 · 17/01/2023 11:50

Mine was also declined I will be appealing I sent medical records and diagnosis letter/- asked them on the phone why it was denied and it was because she is academically bright and manages her own personal care?! Which is completely untrue I have to tend to her several times at night for incontinence and they have said she could just use pull ups for incontinence?! I’m livid!

Chocolateandstrawberries · 17/01/2023 12:12

I’m still waiting for mine process is so long! However i think im not far off now as my scan date was 17/10

Squishy1911 · 17/01/2023 12:15

What are they classing academically bright as? On track with learning or in front? As far as personal care goes I think it also comes down to self care with washing in the bath, brushing teeth all hygiene aspects.
