Hi everyone i started new thread as the other one was getting full my scan date is 23rd September still waiting for decision.

Hi everyone. Id just like to ask about people saying mobility doesnt get awarded until 5. I was told and have read on the gov website its actually 3, where are people getting 5 from? I submitted a change of circumstances form for my 3 and a half year old to claim the mobility aspect

My backpay from tax credits only took a day to sort out it was backdated from when daughters dla started xx

So .. I rang tax credits and they backdated from the start of my claim. You need to make it very clear on the phone the date you started getting paid eg 11 weeks ago. Better off ringing than using the website. Took 24 hours to update my award xx

You can only receive HRM mobility at 3.

You can start receiving LRM at 5. Obv LRM is easier to get than HRM which is why some people don't apply until 5 as they know they won't get it

Hi everyone I am currently on hold - I thought they would cut me off at 5pm but haven’t! Has anyone had them answer after 5pm? Or am I just wasting my time?

Long time lurker but I phoned up yesterday about my sons renewal. Claim was due to end 17/01, scan date was 18/11 and they apparently made a decision on 05/01 (haven't had letter yet though) HRC & LRM until 2031! My son is almost 5. So seems like they’re looking at renewals a couple of weeks before they’re due to run out

@WandTsmum i updated tax creds online on the app on 23rd dec had a decision yesterday - all backdated I put a note on because of delays with dla quickest I could tell them asking for back payment and the money will be in bank by Tuesday, carers allowance came through yesterday too backdates so that was pretty fast too with all the bank holidays hope that helps x

rang up this morning decision was made to decline, :( scan date 7/10, I’m unsure weather to do a MR, does anybody know how long the wait is for that and also can I send extra evidence in?
My son has hypermobilty all over, and inward walk he has a lot of pain with it and falls over every day and walks slow , struggles with PE, he wears insouls in his shoes and awaiting physio and OT, also ashma ( gets flare ups all the time when he’s poorly or weather change also affects him when he ) on blue and brown inhalers and montelukast, also I have to change and wash him during the night because he will only have a bowl movement during the night,he refuses to wear pull ups ( he’s been like this since he was 3 after a UTI) and has a overactive bladder and doesn’t sit still, takes hours to go to sleep, he’s now 6, I have evidence of his conditions from hospital and from school,
Has anyone else done a MR with any of these issues and won? Sorry for the essay. Just not sure weather it’s going to be worth the extra stress.

Hi, yeah it’s not the first time I’ve read this about renewals and them not being looked at until a couple of weeks before they end, my current one ends 4/2 so I’m hoping that I hear from them soon

If you have extra supporting evidence to show what you have said then yes I would definitely consider it, I’m unsure of the time scales for it though.

hi. Been keeping up with this thread for a while. Scan date 5/10 had a phone call today from the decision maker (lovely lady) asked a few questions. Found out this afternoon my daughter has been awarded HRC LRM, the lady on the phone told me the back payment should be paid Wednesday.
anyone know how long it takes for uc to get sorted? Thanks

I’m currently waiting for mobility claim has anyone else been accepted for blue badge before getting mobility?

heyy does anyone know how long claims take after receiving a letter apologising for the delay? i think we’re at week 8 as our scan date was 22/11. Also i’m not sure i sent enough information. I sent a 2 page A4 explaining how my DD is on a daily basis, a letter from her childminder, report from school, diagnosis letter from paediatrician and psychiatrist and a detailed consultant report explaining how DD condition affects her and that they will be assessing for ADHD and autism. Sorry to ask but we claimed in 2021 and got rejected but i didn’t send any supporting information

You're looking at a couple of months more to wait I think. Our scan date was 5/10 and still hasn't been looked at.

We got a blue badge with LRM and that took a couple of years and we really had to fight for it. I think it would be difficult to get a blue badge without mobility component.

@Cody3 hi I’m also waiting for mobility, I applied for a blue badge and got one. I was really detailed in my application as I know other people who got denied but yeah we got it first time. It’s definitely worth trying xx
