Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s 13 weeks waiting today for us and I’ve just called them. The lady said we’ve not had a decision been made yet. She didn’t give a time on how much longer it would be, I feel like I’m constantly nervous at the minute waiting

Mumtoella15 · 11/01/2023 10:07

Just phoned them , scan date 5/10 , it’s with the DM , she said it could take up to two weeks , was very helpful and added a note to my file that we now have the EHCP and medication for sleep , and said it’s worth sending all this in still as it would still be looked at even after a decision is made , incase it effects the decision they’ve made ,

Squishy1911 · 11/01/2023 10:30

It’s good that they are now dealing with October claims, mines 11/10 so hopefully not much longer as my current claim ends 4/2/23

MadmamMi · 11/01/2023 10:38

42 min on hold and then got cut off 😭

Shellbel10 · 11/01/2023 11:42

Has anyone been getting texts lately if awarded or not awarded

MadmamMi · 11/01/2023 11:45

Got told I’m within 13 weeks so not with DM yet (scan date 12/10) although today is week 13 anyway

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 11:51

Never had one even when they said they would

In fact the money usually appears in my account before I even have a letter

Shellbel10 · 11/01/2023 11:52

Nice suprise then

PeopleWillAlwaysNeedPlates · 11/01/2023 12:02

Well, we have also had a nice surprise this morning. A payment has been made to our account. No letter or text yet but based on the figure and the number of weeks since our scan date I think we must have been awarded middle rate care. DC is too young for the mobility component so although we included mobility details we weren’t expecting anything.

What a relief. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Alibalibee123 · 11/01/2023 12:45

Hii I’ve been watching these posts for a while, I applied for my DS on 18/08 got the forms and they were sent back and scan date 29/09 and it’s with the DM now, she rang me yesterday and told me she was approving it and I should expect a text today or tomorrow, but I have just rang (45 min wait) to see what DS has been awarded and DM hasn’t put it through yet, so my question is has anyone been through this and know how long it takes for DM to approve? I could really do with the money as in a bit of debt and it would just be a whole weight off my shoulders

Ollie20 · 11/01/2023 14:21

I got awarded MRC till sep 2024 my daughter is 5 in December so I’ll have to apply for mobility side but I’ve been told by a few to make sure send all evidence as the DM can look at the whole claim again x

Ollie20 · 11/01/2023 17:58

Thought you would of been able to apply before march as there taking 22 weeks to look at them forms I’m sure would be COC forms

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:04

As soon as your child turns 2.5 years ring dwp and ask for the form

Don't wait for them to send it to you

If by a miracle they do process it before they turn 3 it will be processed and you'll be paid after they are 3

Don't fill out the care element of them form. Just tick no change in circumstances. You only need to send information that is relevant to the mobility claim

I did this for my daughter last year.

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:06

@Wintersmummy96 I send in seminars regarding claiming for mobility and no advise was given saying to send all the evidence was care. Just tick the no change box and just send anything relevant to mobility

I ticked the does not walk box, sent a physio report and for HRM no issues and care stayed the same

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:06

went on seminars

Wintersmummy96 · 11/01/2023 19:08

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:06

went on seminars

She’s on MRC she can walk but not far and she tends to trip up a lot on her feet but she seems to be stimming whilst holding the pram like jumping making her noise she will not walk unless she holding hand or the pram and doesn’t even notice things infront of her so unsure what that would be

Millipeed · 11/01/2023 19:10

Hiya they received my form on 18/11 anyone with around the same date had a decision yet

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:13

It seems really tough when they are walking

It's a bit harder to get HRM and u can't get LRM until they are 5... to get HRM they have to be not walking or virtually unable to walk. There is a mental capacity element too

May be worth going on a seminar. The one I did was by a Down syndrome charity but I'm sure others would too.

It's prob worth getting some advise before going through the stress whether she's eligible

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:14

Oh just seen your daughter is turning 5 so will be eligible for LRM. Def go for it

Wintersmummy96 · 11/01/2023 19:30

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:14

She’s 5 in December so shall I ring in may for forms, I was gunna send all evidence again if they did decide to look at all claim her renewal September 2024 so wouldn’t know if they would extend it

PrayingandHoping · 11/01/2023 19:58

If u do that you would be having to fill in entire form

And I course they may review it and stop your entire award

Tbh I really wouldn't. Just send the mobility section

Lozzawilson · 11/01/2023 20:21

My scan date is 12/10
and not yet been looked at x

MillieNam78 · 11/01/2023 21:07

Just an update, I posted Thursday about my child’s claim (scan date 27/9) and was told it was with a DM and they couldn’t give me a time frame. Well I’ve received a payment today!
