How long from ringing up and finding out you've been awarded that day to receiving the back payment does anyone know? Found out Wednesday that we had been awarded that morning but still not received payment. Thank you all

Hey everyone!
I’ve been a lurker on this thread (and the others) since I’ve done my claim form
the scan date was 17/10..
has anyone received there’s? From this date?

Ashmicwil · 06/01/2023 09:52

Hi does anyone know the current waiting time for acceptance? Letters were sent 20th sept and scanned 5th October. rang up 4th Jan as this was 13 weeks since scan date and was told it was still with the DM and would have decision by end of Jan! They asked me my banking details on last call, is this normal?

Jayda19902022 · 06/01/2023 09:54

@Kaylisa I'm on income support made a claim for carers

Squishy1911 · 06/01/2023 09:55

Hi I’m still waiting my letter date was 11/10 so it was 12 weeks on Tuesday just gone but I haven’t heard anything yet.

Kaylisa · 06/01/2023 10:06

@Jayda19902022 ah ok sorry don’t know about carers allowance.

Kaylisa · 06/01/2023 10:07

Feels like by the time we all get sorted with backpayments from other places and elements being put on the correct statement we will have to reapply again 😅

Jayda19902022 · 06/01/2023 10:47

@Kaylisa that's ok thankyou

Teatime55 · 06/01/2023 10:54

Jayda19902022 · 06/01/2023 07:24

Has anybody been backdated carers?
And if so how long did it take please

I’m waiting for this too. I think when I put the application it said 6 weeks turnaround for a decision anyway, and probably a few days beyond that. I only applied 8 days ago so I still have a wait!

Jayda19902022 · 06/01/2023 11:13

@Teatime55 yes didn't take 6 weeks I've been accepted for carers allowance just they said they waiting on income support or something I did get backdated it years ago with my other child. Just curious why I haven't been yet backdated

Roxmum14 · 06/01/2023 12:26

Roxmum14 · 06/01/2023 12:28

@Ashmicwil my scan date was 7th October and we were awarded on Wednesday! They asked me for the name of my bank when I rang up its just security questions!

I just wondered if anyone has been successful with a 2 year old? He will be 3 next month but after reading online it seems it’s really hard to get for a child this young. I hadn’t actually heard of DLA it was the CDC doctor and nursery staff who told me to apply. Thanks in advance.

Yes. We were awarded MRC at 20 months and the HRM when she turned 3

MygirlGrace · 06/01/2023 12:52

Hi all,
My scan date of form was 4th October it’s for a change of circumstances. My daughter currently gets LRcare so I am hoping for LRmobilty. When I applied 2 years ago, they said refused mobility as a child of her age without her needs would also need guidance and supervision so can’t get LR and that she wasn’t virtually unable to walk so wasn’t entitled to HR. She is 12 now and in high school (mainstream) I am having to get the bus to and from school with her as she is vulnerable and has no Road sense so is unable to get bus by herself. I rang up yesterday and the man I spoke to said change of circumstances were taking the longest and it will be 22 weeks before it will be passed to a decision maker. X

Haspiemum · 06/01/2023 13:09

6/10 here just phoned and still not with anyone. I think I’ll just wait it out now. See if i hear anything by next Friday. She said another 1 - 2 weeks.
