Tribaladventuremummy · 04/01/2023 20:44

That’s exactly what I keep getting - except on the 24th they said it was with DM. Hopefully it won’t take too much longer to be added and paid it’s 6 months worth at the higher rate so it’s not a small amount and will be really helpful.

Hope you get your back pay soon :)

Tribaladventuremummy · 04/01/2023 20:48

It takes 24 hours for the systems to update they will have been awarded but not in the system yet

Cody3 · 04/01/2023 20:50

@parsniiips thats good and when I rang about my sons claim in 2021 they wouldn’t even tell me what he was awarded I’m just going to wait until I’m at 21 weeks and see and ask again if mobility is backdated from scan date or from his 5th birthday not fussed either way I just want to know

Hi,

Thank you - do you mind me asking which office this was please. I can’t believe they haven’t done ours yet. It’s so frustrating especially when I notified them on the 7th December.

If you have the award letter from DLA I’d take that into the job centre ask them to scan it on then that should help. I saw another woman do it then it was sorted within few days x

Tribaladventuremummy · 05/01/2023 05:56

UC are saying it’s with the decision maker they confirmed this in the 24/12, just can’t understand why the element wasn’t added to this months award. If I haven’t heard anything in a week I’ll just keep putting notes in my journal and keep calling up.

The woman I spoke to said it was awarded from the dates of my sons fifth birthday. My scan date was one month prior to this but obviously doesn't count as he was still four

Cody3 · 05/01/2023 09:04

@parsniiips i did think that and thankyou for letting me know my scan date was 16.09 but he’s not 5 until 16.01

Losttheplot1 · 05/01/2023 11:13

So @mammaov3 and @Tribaladventuremummy I called UC today about the lack of response since I declared the changes carer/and disability after being put on hold for 10 minutes they came back and said I had to wait until the 20th for the response 🤷

icreatedthemadhouse · 05/01/2023 11:22

Not me and I’m 12th x

Tribaladventuremummy · 05/01/2023 11:54

I’ve just got off the phone and he couldn’t give me a time frame - I made the change on the 7th December, and was told 24th it was with a DM. He didn’t even tell me when to call back if we haven’t heard anything and the element wasn’t paid in this AP because it’s with the decision maker.

😡😡😡

Amber2802 · 05/01/2023 12:01

I just wondered if anyone has been successful with a 2 year old? He will be 3 next month but after reading online it seems it’s really hard to get for a child this young. I hadn’t actually heard of DLA it was the CDC doctor and nursery staff who told me to apply. Thanks in advance.

MillieNam78 · 05/01/2023 12:39

I’ve just phoned regarding a claim that had a scan date 27/9. The lady on the phone told me it’s just been given to a case worker. When I asked how much longer I should expect it to take she replied with “we are advising it can take 13 weeks, you should receive a letter once a decision is made”. I explained that it has been over 14 weeks but she said she couldn’t give an estimate as to when a decision would be made. Has anyone had a similar experience recently? Roughly how long does a caseworker take to make a decision?

mammaov3 · 05/01/2023 15:49

Mine is same scan date and from a week with DM, I don’t know really how do they work on it. People from 28/28/30 have already their decissions, others are on the DMs desk for weeks

Tribaladventuremummy · 05/01/2023 16:20

It annoys me as the second we don’t do something in an assessment period they are quick to throw sanctions at people. This should have been sorted out in my previous assessment period so that my money was right yesterday. Sorry I’m ranting 🤣 I’m hoping that it’s all sorted tomorrow for payment next week but not counting my chickens at all

I even stated this on the phones and the lady agreed

Tribaladventuremummy · 05/01/2023 16:25

It’s horrible it’ll be 7 months worth by the time they sort it out. It took them 18 months to sort out my carer element it’s a huge joke

Cody3 · 05/01/2023 16:32

I’m currently waiting for a change or circumstances mobility but I’ve been accepted for a blue badge for car would this change anything at all?

Tribaladventuremummy · 05/01/2023 20:04

@Amber2802, I’ve had two children be awarded HRC under the ages of 2 so it is possible :)

Amber2802 · 05/01/2023 21:47

Thank you for letting me know 😊@Tribaladventuremummy

Jayda19902022 · 06/01/2023 07:24
