Peachy88 · 04/01/2023 13:19

Hi everyone, just a update my child has been awarded HRC and LRM today at 14 weeks from scan date. I only rang to see if they have recieved my additional evidence, letter to follow but payment has been issued. Good luck everyone.

ASDmummy2019 · 04/01/2023 12:48

@parsniiips did you get through? So pleased it’s finally sorted for you hope the award is what you wanted, I’m on 21 weeks and the closer it gets the less confident I am

I was on hold for 40 minutes before being answered. Just pottered about doing housework with my phone on speaker as it's mind numbing waiting for them to answer!

Anyway he's been awarded what we expected and we have been backdated the correct amount too.

Been a very long 22 week wait I can't believe it's finally sorted! Hang in there everyone, hope the wait times get better for you all.

Kate6681 · 04/01/2023 13:41

What do they class as the scan date? I received a text on 30th September to say they had received my forms. Is that the scan date?

Roxmum14 · 04/01/2023 14:37

@Kate6681 scan date is the date the forms are scanned into the system. I had to ring up to find out mine!

Kate6681 · 04/01/2023 14:47

So that’s not necessarily the day they received it then

Roxmum14 · 04/01/2023 14:47

Can anyone tell me if I need to provide proof that my child has been awarded DLA when I tell UC? Haven't received any paperwork yet and wondering when to tell them? Thank you

Roxmum14 · 04/01/2023 14:48

@Kate6681 no, they received mine on 28th September but wasn't scanned until 7th October :)

Squishy1911 · 04/01/2023 14:52

I think the scan date is the date on the confirmation letter that you get to tell you that they have received it

Wintersmummy96 · 04/01/2023 14:54

mammaov3 · 03/01/2023 13:50

Give them a ring that’s what I did they looked at it then kept putting messages under payment but I rang cause no one was replying

Haspiemum · 04/01/2023 16:39

I just phoned, my scan date is the 6/10 think I wrote 7th before was wrong. Anyway, not with anyone yet she said another couple of weeks yet.

Mruby · 04/01/2023 16:58

Hiya, does anyone know if you get a text to say claim isn’t awarded?

Shellbel10 · 04/01/2023 17:36

I’ve seen someone write before that they got a text that a decision had been made. When they rang they hadn’t been awarded

Donna2324 · 04/01/2023 17:47

Hi when I first complete the application for my daughter we were right at the early stage so I didn’t get any professional to complete that section on the claim form, will this mean I won’t get anything for my daughter?

Squishy1911 · 04/01/2023 18:07

No not at all, I’ve never got anybody to fill that section in, as long as you give detailed information of theirs everyday care needs and evidence from professionals like hospital/school I think you will be fine

Brummumofm · 04/01/2023 18:20

@Donna2324 I didn’t fill in that section just detailed struggles and sent appointment letters I did have an asd diagnosis and my son was awarded hrc lrm x just waiting on tax credits now been nearly 2 weeks but Christmas so not holding my breath for it to be sorted any time soon x

Donna2324 · 04/01/2023 18:29

Aw thank you we have diagnoses of eating disorder and referral information for autism, camhs informations and appointment with the dietitian so fingers crossed x

Donna2324 · 04/01/2023 18:30

My scan date was 24th October so think I’m a way off yet

Cody3 · 04/01/2023 18:56

@parsniiips did you find out what you got awarded?

Tribaladventuremummy · 04/01/2023 19:19

Anyone have any idea how long it takes for UC to make the back payment?

I notified them in the 7th December and just had our payment today and it doesn’t have the disabled element in it for my son. They keep saying it’s with a decision maker.

So annoying

mammaov3 · 04/01/2023 19:28

@Tribaladventuremummy mine took 10 days from reporting change to getting child disability element back pay witch will be in my bank tomorrow reported 23rd December back pay 5th jan

Tribaladventuremummy · 04/01/2023 19:55

Hi,

Thank you - do you mind me asking which office this was please. I can’t believe they haven’t done ours yet. It’s so frustrating especially when I notified them on the 7th December.

parsniiips · 04/01/2023 20:04

Cody3 · 04/01/2023 18:56

@parsniiips did you find out what you got awarded?

Yes middle rate care and lower rate mobility, only found out through phoning and asking though, the text wasn't detailed.

Kaylisa · 04/01/2023 20:42

@Tribaladventuremummy i reported change of circumstance for carers and disabled child element on the 13th. Had back pay for carers within a week. And old statements amended to show carers. Still waiting for disabled child element verification and back pay. My new statement showed today and it’s missing from that. I’ve messaged on the journal a few times and the same person (Hayden Hastings office) replies to say ‘waiting for it to be verified and then it will be sent to decision maker regarding back payment’
