@parsniiips oh wow, it is a long process have you rang them to see what’s going on?
@Mumze my son already gets middle rate care but cause he’s 5 this month I claimed for mobility they got mine in September but they class it as change of circumstances which can change your care rate also.

I've rang more times than I can remember and they kept saying it's still in the holding queue.

The last call I made last week said it's not yet with a DM but is close and I should hear in the first week of January but I'm not holding my breath.

@mammaov3 in still waiting for UC to send me the letter to say they accept the reason for late notifying for the disabled child element. Did it on the 13rh December. Within a few days they said they accepted the reason for caring and I had the back pay for carers element within a week. I’ve asked on the journal a few times to ask if Disabilty element has been verified as they hadn’t updated the previous statements and I got a response from someone saying still waiting for it to be verified. Don’t understand how they can verify me as her carer but not that she gets DLA. My next statement is due tomorrow so assuming it won’t be on there. Hopefully will hear back this week at some point

mammaov3 · 03/01/2023 21:13

@Kaylisa i can't comment about the carer's element as im am claiming it but i will not benifit or get back payment for it as im already on limited capability for work element, but i had the letter yesterday saying DM has excepted why was late change reporting and then i got a letter today to say hiw much back pay i am getting and when , i raily don't no why they are messing you around but i hope you hear soon

Hi, been following for a month or so now, scan date 24th October last rang up at 8weeks to be told claims are being looked at around 12weeks and not before. Will be ringing up in a day or two.

PeopleWillAlwaysNeedPlates · 03/01/2023 23:19

Scan date 16/09, was told when I rang before Christmas that it was with a DM at the twelve-week mark and they would write with their decision. No post at all today and it’s all so backed up with strikes and bank holidays. So so frustrating.

Roxmum14 · 04/01/2023 09:54

Anyone else ringing this morning? It's been 12 weeks since my scan date and heard nothing. Currently on hold waiting to speak to someone 😬

rachyd83 · 04/01/2023 10:08

Good luck 🤞 I'm on 13 weeks yesterday. Its driving me mad this wait lol x

Only if you can get on with something else while you are on hold. We will be 16 weeks from scan date (16/09) on Friday and have heard nothing. On hold now, 25 minutes and counting.

Karolinaa · 04/01/2023 10:21

I am 14+weeks on and at the moment on the line waiting to be answered. Hopefully there will be some news

MadmamMi · 04/01/2023 10:29

Good luck all fingers crossed for you at my end!

Karolinaa · 04/01/2023 10:44

No decission yet has been made on our claim, with dm from a week

Finally got through after 35 mins on hold. With a case manager, still no decision. Apparently a letter was sent 16 December but with Christmas and the postal strikes nothing has arrived here. There's a note on the file saying they tried to call me and my number was incorrect on the system. The call handler checked for me; it isn't.

What, they will get it in a week? Or they’ve had it for a week?

parsniiips · 04/01/2023 11:00

I had a text this morning after over 22 weeks waiting for a change of circumstances decision saying my child has been awarded.

I'm on hold now to find out more and how much back pay etc.

If my scan date was in July and I put that a couple of months previous was when issues began, does anyone know from experience how many months back pay we will get?

Karolinaa · 04/01/2023 11:11

MadmamMi · 04/01/2023 10:50

What, they will get it in a week? Or they’ve had it for a week?

They’ve had it for a week, the man on the call told me that maybe it will take one more week.

Dee1618 · 04/01/2023 11:57

Our scan date is 18/10 and got a text on 22nd December saying they are still looking at our claim and please do not call 🥴 just waiting patiently… good luck to us all xx

MimiBeee · 04/01/2023 12:15

Just phoned for update . Scan 30/9

My little boys case hasn’t been allocated yet due to Xmas backlog but should be allocated to someone by end of week or start of next

The guy said worst case scenario it takes 28 days to process

He said look out for a text message which tells us the decision and to ring them then because the post will take a while to get to us and we can get details of the award

Also if we get a random dla payment that’s also an indicator to make a call to find out details of award.

Roxmum14 · 04/01/2023 12:19

Got through after a 35 minute wait on hold a decision was made today for my sons claim we've been awarded lrm and mrc! So pleased 🥲 my scan date was 7th October so just under 13 week wait for us. Good luck for everyone else!❤️

rachyd83 · 04/01/2023 12:24

That's great news. I'm the 4th so hopefully not much longer 🙏

Shellbel10 · 04/01/2023 12:29

Yes finally some good news on here. Great news

MadmamMi · 04/01/2023 12:39

Just got through. No update yet but she did say it’s taking about 13 weeks to get to DM at moment and we are on week 12, SD of 12/10

ASDmummy2019 · 04/01/2023 12:48

@parsniiips did you get through? So pleased it’s finally sorted for you hope the award is what you wanted, I’m on 21 weeks and the closer it gets the less confident I am

Ollie20 · 04/01/2023 12:54

Scan date 29/09/22 still with decision maker hopefully this week fingers crossed
