Shellbel10 · 03/01/2023 07:42

Good luck everyone this week

MadmamMi · 03/01/2023 10:20

Watching with bated breath 😱

Kate6681 · 03/01/2023 11:04

Just been on the phone to them this morning and there’s currently a 14 week wait for new applications for it to go to the DM then however long that takes. They’ve had an email this morning regarding it all 😏 guess I’m still waiting 🙄

GirlmumTN · 03/01/2023 11:19

Last time I called (Friday just gone), the guy told me that mine was still with a DM and to expect to hear something by latest end of next week(scan date 29/09). If I haven't heard anything to call back and they will escalate it.
Hope this helps!

Thank you I'm glad someone's in same boat as me as I was worried it was taking too long! Our scan date is 26/9 so fingers crossed for next week 🙏

Mumoffour0914 · 03/01/2023 11:48

The wait is literally painful!!, I feel your frustration lol
I've noticed a lot of people are seeing back payments before letters prob due to royal mail, but check your accounts over the next 2 weeks also.

Does anyone no how long it takes from DM to get backdated payment of child disability element on uc?

Losttheplot1 · 03/01/2023 12:30

@mammaov3 I can't even get them to acknowledge that my circumstances have changed. Been leaving messages since the 23/12 that I changed the circumstances and reported caring. I called today and the gentleman basically said there is nothing he can do. 🤷

Amber2802 · 03/01/2023 12:46

I just called scan date 16/11, I rang to report a change in circumstances. She said it’s about 5 weeks away from a decision so hope that helps anyone who is same timeline as me.

mammaov3 · 03/01/2023 12:51

@Losttheplot1 no way! i reported change 23rd December and just left it then i got a letter in journal yesterday saying DM as excepted reason for it been late and will add changes on my next statement but didn't mention the back pay so im waiting on that , have you not had that latter yet?

OP posts:
Squishy1911 · 03/01/2023 13:19

Mine was 11/11 so I’m guessing it will be around the same time

mammaov3 · 03/01/2023 13:50

well just got another letter in my journal i will be paid child disability element back pay on Thursday hope you all hear soon.

OP posts:
Losttheplot1 · 03/01/2023 14:32

@mammaov3 nope nothing not even an acknowledgement that I reported the changes. Even though the guy I spoke to today said I had changed it correctly.

MyBBGaremylife · 03/01/2023 14:34

Anyone heard anything today 😀^^

Cody3 · 03/01/2023 15:03

I’m on week 16 claiming mobility for my son but cause it’s classed as change of circumstances total wait of 21 weeks for me another 5 weeks to go

I rang today and same. No acknowledgment and no reply and asked when will be going to DM and they just said 'sorry no updates'. She sounded so miserable and like she hated her job 😂

Losttheplot1 · 03/01/2023 15:15

@Youngatheart91 honestly all I wanted was someone to say i had done it correctly and was being looked at ... The response was wait until the 28th and if it hadn't been sorted out by then call back and investigate why it hadn't been done. (He was going on about the carer element and disability element) would not entertain any conversation about backpay... Also incredibly downcast.

Youngatheart91 · 03/01/2023 15:18

Yes because they don’t like people knowing that it can be done. I rang for that reason as I left a few messages with no response so wanted to make sure they got them their end

Well done, I let them know same date as yours, it went to DM 30th December I still haven’t received any letters yet been told they have until 15th January

I'm now on week 22 of waiting for mobility under change of circumstances.

Absolute piss take.

tourettesadhdmum · 03/01/2023 17:39

i finally got my acknowledgment letter for my daughters new claim that i sent 4th november. i rang in december so knew they had received it 22/11 but only just got the letter today to confirm it. the letters dates 20/12 😳 they really don’t like to rush do they 🙈

I’ve just had them letters just now about it but not how much back pay is so waiting patiently now

Mumze · 03/01/2023 17:50

Do you mind me asking how I can change circumstances as I've gone into people in my household and it only asks for a date no where to put about my son getting DLA. I have written a note in my journal so hopefully will get a reply.
