Hi everyone.
This is round 2 for me.
Eldest has already been awarded but now we are waiting for the youngest.
scan date 21/11 so have a loooooong wait ahead but thought I would comment to keep up with where they are with things.

tourettesadhdmum · 01/01/2023 18:19

@Sausagedogmomma my scan dates 22/11 so not far from you, i’m going to ring on the 8th week and every week after as i hate waiting lol my daughter needs the money i’m just hoping she doesn’t get declined, i did send about 20 pages of information though. i hope everyones starts get sorted soon

Squishy1911 · 01/01/2023 18:19

Same for my youngest, they received it on 11/11, didn’t get confirmation letter until this Wednesday just gone and that letter was dated 13th December so up to 12 weeks from that date.

tourettesadhdmum · 01/01/2023 18:21

@Squishy1911 i rang just before christmas as i still haven’t received confirmation but the lady said they will go from my scan date 22/11 regardless so hopefully that shortens the time you thought you’d need to wait? so your time starts from 11/11

Squishy1911 · 01/01/2023 18:24

I don’t know you would think that wouldn’t you, but it does say on the letter 12 weeks so got at least another month to go yet.

tourettesadhdmum · 01/01/2023 18:29

@Squishy1911 well fingers crossed it is from 11/11 so be a nice surprise when it’s sooner 🙂this is my 2nd time applying i got declined last year but i didn’t send any supporting information as we didn’t have a diagnosis then

Squishy1911 · 01/01/2023 18:30

I hope so, this is a renewal for mine

I updated Uc on the 23/12 about the award but so far they have not responded apart from thanks???

I did mine the same day, I rang them then kept putting messages on journal under payments make sure you put you want it back dating to when the DLA was awarded

Losttheplot1 · 01/01/2023 19:56

@Wintersmummy96 have you had a response?

Only saying my back date claims been sent to a DM haven’t heard nothing since due to bank holiday hoping to hear something next week

Kate6681 · 01/01/2023 23:00

Hi new to this…currently sat at 14 weeks since they received my forms and still not heard anything. I was going to call but might hang on another week or so since by the looks of it they are way behind 🙄

Cody3 · 02/01/2023 06:08

@Kate6681 did they give you a waiting time? They do normally say to ring after 12 weeks and they’ll email the DM that it’s urgent cause it’s gone past you’re 12 weeks

GirlmumTN · 02/01/2023 07:22

I'm also at 14 weeks and received a letter Friday saying I'll hear from them within 6 weeks! I don't know what's going on but it's driving me crazy now!

Nothighgaprequired · 02/01/2023 09:46

Joining the thread, my ds turned 16, sent the application form to switch from dla hrc lrm to pip on 19.11.22. I’m not ringing and chasing because I’m convinced he’s going to get refused. Heard some pip horror stories

my son was finally awarded on 30/12 backdating from august - scan date 28/09
was told payment was processed, just wondering how long it actually takes for the backdated payment to be in your account?

mammaov3 · 02/01/2023 12:04

i just got a message in my journal its a letter about my disability element back payment but i still don't understand it seid the DM has reviewed why it was reported late and under the special circumstances my uc payments will be adjusted for next payment?

That’s same date as me, hopefully mine won’t be long then mine got sent to DM for back pay of carers element and disability element on 30th but I put it on 23rd December

mammaov3 · 02/01/2023 13:43

@Wintersmummy96 i don't think i will get any back payment from the carers element as im on limited capability for work myself and as your only entitled to one element i was already receiving LCFW from August so unfortunately no gain from that but i am waiting on the back payment for CDE shouldn't be two long now
