DLA wait times september 2022

@Oilytoe90 amazing news for you. Did they say when your backdated payment will go in?
its been an awful wait for you, so happy you got what he needed! Don’t think people realise what difference it makes to their lives. If we get it we will be getting a private tutor and he’s being in school, by quite a lot.

Just found this thread and really hoping someone can help. The renewal for my daughter's DLA came through very early August (might even have been late July ) but there was nothing at all in the letter about deadlines for returning it. Due to a lot going on with the children I only completed it yesterday. The date the old DLA expires is 20 November.

Was there a deadline? It will almost certainly be renewed so will they backdate it if the payments do stop before they have time to process it?

@2under2and1more my back date should be in either tomorrow or Thursday. But I bank with monzo so will see when it's pending. X

Such a relief. I literally felt the world lift off my shoulders. When did u let uc know? As if just let them know so don't know how long it will take to backdate. And do I need to request for it to be backdated? X

Hey, is it okay if I join this thread? Waiting here too. Frustratingly, DLA sent the renewal claim form to our old address because they thought when I phoned to update we moved, I was only referring to myself and not DS too 🙄

So we weren't even aware it was looking at being stopped unless we renewed. Was on hold for just shy of 2 hours when I spotted we missed a payment. Apparently there is nothing they can do once the case is closed, we just have to claim from fresh. Such a messed up system.

Thankyou my love. They made the decision yesterday. I'm still in disbelief lol x

@Oilytoe90 i requested friday.. nd yes in journal write I want backdated from date u got Dla from...they wil ask reason for back date say Dla took time to make decision x

@TwittleBee this happened to me, I had to complete the new form as they said they’d sent me the renewal and never did I’m on week 9 of waiting for my sons to be reviewed 😿

@Oilytoe90 just caught up on the rest of the feed!! Amazing news 14 weeks is absolutely awful! My friend has recently been rewarded for her son that was 10 weeks! Makes me wonder if gets passed to a case handler then some work quicker than others! Xx
