A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

Just spoke to someone, they're working on scan dates up to the 28th this week. Mine is the 5th July and she said to call back in 2 weeks time if nothing heard.

Wow that's 6 days worth tho, so that's pretty good compared to last 2 weeks lol x

@kateof2 mines went from the date I rang for the forms they backdated me to hope this helps
Good to see good news for others congrats

sjf19811 · 26/09/2022 12:22

They back date payment to when you asked for forms but scan date is when they work from to do the claim.

Gcmum11 · 26/09/2022 13:12

Do you get a text when they scan your form ? I've only posted it last week so not hopeful to hear for a few months !

Some do, most just get a letter saying they've received the application x

Wow. Surely not? X

I’ve asked them to put me down for a text message. I can’t deal with the anxiety of calling every day with a 35+ minute wait on hold!
Surely shouldn’t be with them over a week. I think they make things up tbh. My scan date is 12th of July. Received a decision on Tuesday last week for my other child!

kateof2 · 26/09/2022 15:49

Wondering if anyone knows, if I send in extra evidence will it hold my claim up for longer?

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 26/09/2022 16:00

@kateof2 no I sent evidence nearly every couple of weeks and mines kept the same time as people who had same original scan date

kateof2 · 26/09/2022 16:06

@Noneyerbuisness11234 thanks lovely will send it today x

Kage87 · 26/09/2022 16:38

Hopefully it’s tomorrow for you both - take no news as good news, the end is in sight!

candm777 · 26/09/2022 18:45

I also phoned today and told was with the dm still and should hear soon, scan date 23rd June x

KodaS · 26/09/2022 18:49

Hi guys, read you feed and I’m waiting on a renewal which they advised I missed the date (although I didn’t ever get a letter to renew) I explained and they advised have to start the claim again. Sent it over July 12 didn’t get scanned in until the 27th July. Had a letter last week to say sorry they have not dealt with it as yet. Didn’t realise how backed up they are! Think mine will be weeks more 😭

Chay123 · 26/09/2022 19:12

Same scan date. Omg another month!! Someone above in the thread did say they were told Wednesday the latest for 30th June.. so hopefully ours wouldn’t be long after. Hope you hear soon and fingers crossed

harjinder01 · 26/09/2022 19:24

I was told 30 of June by nxt Friday ring if u dnt hear nothing hear bk from them in these 2 weeks

FishFingerSandwiches4Tea · 26/09/2022 19:28

Anyone waiting on a mandatory reconsideration? Will be 4 weeks on Wednesday but heard they're taking upto 6 weeks. Already waited 12 weeks for the original decision 🙄

Dladsbackdate · 26/09/2022 19:43

If you've sent in for renewal do they continue to pay whilst you wait on a decision? DS renewal date 29th, but they only received 17th Aug as school took bloody ages filling their part of the form in then I was working so could not post it straight away. Due a payment beginning of October I'm just wondering if I will receive this if they are still processing it? We can't afford to live without this payment.

Jodeeplus4 · 26/09/2022 19:44

My scan date 21st July and they told me today at least another 2 weeks they’re working on 30th June

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 26/09/2022 19:58

@FishFingerSandwiches4Tea sorry it's not good news I waited another 14 weeks for a MR after waiting 12 weeks for original decline although they will backdate u if accepted to ur original application date x

Kas76 · 26/09/2022 20:00

Mine was scanned on the 1st of August, they told me probably November for a decision as its taking 13/15 wks

Unfortunately no, the payments will stop on the date the award ends, but if they award the renewal, they will back date it then
