Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

I’ve just got off the phone from dla as had to update my phone number and also asked for a update ,my claim was scanned 19th July the lady told me she’s unable to tell me any update and that I should have a decision in the next couple weeks, is it just me or are the people who answer the phone really rude for no reason ? I understand it’s a stressful job but oh dear

Momma25 · 17/10/2022 14:21

I’m the 14th July I hope I hear something soon

Claudb98 · 17/10/2022 15:58

Sounds like the lady I had when I rang today as week 12 she said can't give update on dates there up to ect and each week that passes it adds extra wait time on as last week people said 13 weeks abs she was telling me now 15 weeks

Keyto3 · 18/10/2022 10:34

Thought I would update as just phoned them- my new claim was received the 25th he has told me they are working this week on all claims dated 11th-18th. So he said hopefully next week mine should be with the decision maker if not latest week after. He told me call back if no news and to keep checking bank account. My daughter has only just turned 1 so I’m not holding my breath as I’ve read how hard it is to get it approved for a baby. But just thought would update you all. Fingers crossed some of you get some good news soon

The lady I spoke to this morning made me more confused than ever… She wouldn’t tell me whether my DD’s was with a DM or not, then checked they had the right contact details etc… Been 13 weeks now x

My daughter has a brain condition I’ve sent all the doctor / hospital paperwork but I’ve read everywhere how hard it is to get this for a baby as they all are very common in needs. Hope you get some news soon

Scanned on 29th July here and still waiting when I called Monday they told me it’s should be seen by the end of the week but looking on here that doesn’t look right after reading your comments. 🤷‍♀️

Fingers crossed they do for you as I'm 25th so would be seen aswell however when I called yesterday she told me another 3 weeks before going to a dm but then others been told different as she wouldn't give me dates they were looking at apparently not aloud anymore but others had been given dates

Joanne2016 · 18/10/2022 21:11

The lady told me that it was due to be seen by a DM before Monday 24th and that I would probably see a payment if awarded before I received the letter and to keep checking the bank! She also said it’s normally with a DM for 2 days but when I’m reading these comments I’m starting to think she just wanted me off the phone 😂

Oh do if that is correct I'm the 25th July so mind should be with dm by end of tomorrow I may call to test this theory and let you know

Mamofasd · 18/10/2022 22:15

I'm 18th July and I rang 2 days ago and mine wasn't even with a dm 🤨 seems like they telling us all different things, good luck all for tomorrow hoping it will be someone's day, I'm getting so anxious now

MichelleG78 · 18/10/2022 23:12

I’m still following this thread and so pleased at all the positive outcomes! And feeling the pain for all those still waiting too! Unfortunately my claim for my DS was declined last month but I managed to pull myself together and have requested an MR. His hearing advisory teacher wrote me a supporting letter backing up what I’ve already said and I’ve included extra evidence too, I’m just hoping it’s enough! Now to wait again! Just wondering if anyone else has had any recent outcomes with an MR and how long it’s taking? Or anyone still waiting to hear. It’s all so stressful and upsetting!

Momma25 · 18/10/2022 23:15

My scan date was 14th July but I’m to scared to call them

Chrissynb · 19/10/2022 00:07

Ring them u might get a good surprise. I was supposed to get a text with decision but they didn't bother for some reason even though those that answer calls requested it. It's worth a try
