Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

@SallyCinnamon30 great news! :) my scan date was 15th June and haven’t heard anything so maybe we’ve been unsuccessful

Ours is the 14th and we haven't heard either.

MichelleG78 · 13/09/2022 13:02

I’ve just rang about my claim, scan date 21st June. The lady said there’s no decision been made but that a decision was imminent. She couldn’t tell me when that would be though. She said to ring back this time next week, so I’m still none the wiser and growing more anxious by the day!

Girlmum25 · 13/09/2022 13:04

Same scan date! They said no decision for me either yesterday! I'm really anxious too. So much stress!

Girlmum25 · 13/09/2022 13:06

@MichelleG78 I'm going to ring again on Friday anyway!

Shannon26 · 13/09/2022 13:07

Does anyone know if you can claim the higher disabled child element on uc when getting carers?

Good idea, it is so stressful!

Somuchgoo · 13/09/2022 13:11

Do you know if you can submit more evidence at the mandatory reconsideration stage?

I just want to get our form in quickly, and hopefully they'll agree it without a huge amount of additional paperwork (which will take us more time to organise), but knowing that we can add more later if needed?

It's based on what rate of DLA you get as far as I'm aware.
We've been awarded middle rate care and lower rate mobility so it looks like we will get the lower disabled child element amount.

Shannon26 · 13/09/2022 13:35

@ofwarren my sons been awarded hrc and lrm. Its just I read online that you can't claim carers with higher disabled element on uc, just abit confused

My sister does? She just doesn’t get the Uc care element, Uc do tske the carers back off her tho x

Shannon26 · 13/09/2022 14:00

@Lynseyb91 ah right, thanks just everything I've read online has made me confused, but thanks for your response 😊

Sarahjlk · 13/09/2022 14:20

@MichelleG78 @Girlmum25 I’m 21st also and getting more nervous the week goes on as well. Lets hope for good news.

You can still claim carers, but UC take the amount off your UC. It's still best to do so because it protects your pension if you aren't working.

Shannon26 · 13/09/2022 14:31

@ofwarren ah right a see makes more sense now thanks alot for your reply 🙂

Girlmum25 · 13/09/2022 18:03

Yes! Hopefully we all get answers soon! It's thinking it's probably next week now but that's just a guess x

Sarahjlk · 14/09/2022 07:24

@Girlmum25 and Monday being a bank holiday we’ll probably be behind a day too.
