Sorry for bad typing, am on the crappy patient line keyboard thing.

Induction is underway, getting very mild period pains, but I think they are just prostin pains. anyone want to keep me company?

Oh, annnnnnnddddddd I think we have a name

no they start it on the ante-natel/post-natel ward (same place just differnt endsof the corridor) last time my waters went, the checked me and i was 4cm and i went straight up to delivery. by the time i got there and had managed to just about get on the bed, dh walked in, they checked me after me screaming at them that i needed to push 5 times, i had the lip of my cervix to go 4 minutes later he was out

so sorry fortyping, its like having the fish back!

Astarte · 26/12/2008 23:25

night night NJ x

nappyaddict · 27/12/2008 00:17

I like Mikey but a lot of people think it is good to have a "proper" name as an alternative aswell.

nappyaddict · 27/12/2008 00:21

Hmm how about Micah if you don't like Michael?

cathcat · 27/12/2008 00:24

Ahh, good luck! I don't know you but hope it is all going okay.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 03:15

no baby or even labour yet, i have been tring to sleep, but these sodding pains keep waking me every 3/4 mins, never remeber them being this bad with the boys inductions, there is just so much pressure with them in my bum.

am looking forward to breakfast, could eat the arse out of a dead rhinosourous as my dh says! charming isnt he?!

dont suppose there is anyone around who knows if i want to encourage these pains or not? i.e. are they actually getting me anywhere? they stop almost completely when i stand up, is that good or bad?

Don't know your story Nj, but recognise your name.

How you feeling?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 03:26

i'm ok thanks, just tired already, and it's not even started yet....

OP posts:
makingafamily · 27/12/2008 03:30

Do you think your contractions have started yet?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 03:37

nope think it is prostin pains, dont even seem to be getting bh or anything. am sat on the birthing ball thing, it isnt making an difference yet.

makingafamily · 27/12/2008 03:40

This is gonna sound really odd but have you considered nipple stimulation? It kicked off 2 of my best mates labours...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 03:47

i was just thinking the same thing!

i dont want to just make the pain im having worse though, not if it isnt actually getting me anywhere.

OP posts:
makingafamily · 27/12/2008 04:13

I'm still a ttc'er so havent gone through labour but hun, i think the pain will get worse at some point, so you might aswell go for it?

xx

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 07:20

still nada actually fell asleep and have slept, pains still coming and going but very mild. i guess next step will be to see if im dilated enough to break waters, or if i'll need more gel.

Ooh! Just saw this thread! How are you? Are you being induced due to medical complications or just late?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 07:42

medical comps. baby has more or less stopped putting any weight on and my waters are too low. they are quite positive and aren't expecting him to have any major health problems, but they've warned us he is likely to need some special care - extra help with feeding and keeping warm.

good luck!

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 27/12/2008 07:57

Keep going NJ! I am sending you dilating vibes via MN. Good Luck. x

turtledove23 · 27/12/2008 07:59

Wishing you all the best!! And second the nip stim idea!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 27/12/2008 08:04

Just checking in again. Glad you got a bit of sleep and hope things go smoothly over the next few hours. Good luck!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/12/2008 08:30

thanks everyone, just had some brekkie, going to go and get showered now.

am a bit pissed off, thought things would be well on their way by now, if not over, but nope, he is going to play me up till the bitter end isnt he?!

and there is a woman across from me, that has been breathing funny most of the night, i thought she was having contractions and was feeling sorry for her coping on her own, but nope, she just needs to BLOW HER BLOODY NOSE sniff snort sniff snort grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

obviously i am in a particulary nice mood this morning!
