Feels like something is coming out?

I have no idea how to even describe it lol but I was having pressure and pain last night and the feeling that something is coming out of my vagina? Still feeling it now, especially when on the birthing ball! Like maybe a similar feeling to when you’re about have a big bit of blood come out when you’re on your period? Like something I could take out and it would be a soft ball of something😂 I don’t know😂 Nothing has actually come out yet, but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this lol. Never felt that before, but been having the pressure and pain in my lower pelvis, bum, and back pain, for a few days. I’m 37 weeks today. Baby has been engaged since about 34 weeks I think, at least. Thanks ladies!

Any news?

knowmenclature · 06/02/2020 04:53

You can feeling you are 'thinning^ - where exactly are you feeling this OP?

Urge to push getting stronger? When did you start getting the urge to push?

Can you explain what you mean by coming up. What is coming up [when you push for toilet]?

These symptoms are meaningless based on what I've experienced, as you'd be in second stage, but you can't possibly be from the other things you've said.

knowmenclature · 06/02/2020 04:56

Also, this blew me a bit..

my lady parts are changing

HOW!!!??? What is happening with you?

Spam88 · 06/02/2020 10:37

@knowmenclature I think OP is actually feeling her cervix at the entrance to her vagina 😬

I'm just relieve you hear it's not your cord anyway! But it does all sound very odd. On the plus side, if baby's head is already making an appearance at the entrance to your vagina then it's not going to take long to push her out!

MrsHardbroom · 06/02/2020 13:50

Have you actually sought medical advice since you first posted OP?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 06/02/2020 13:59

@Clangus00 sorry, I’ve been muddled with days all this week, I thought it was Tuesday when I posted.

Stressheadme123 · 06/02/2020 13:59

Urge to push getting stronger?
What? Are you in labour!
And are you poking about in there?

Mummyme87 · 06/02/2020 14:07

Urge to push doesn’t mean baby is coming out. May be malpositoned and therefore pushing on bowel.

Dodie66 · 06/02/2020 14:17

Have you actually been examined by a midwife or have you only spoken to them on the phone. Nowhere do you say you’ve been seen and examined

Wildboar · 06/02/2020 18:53

Hope you’re okay.

yelyahyoung · 07/02/2020 12:31

Everything is fine. Had midwife appt today so have been checked over again and she is happy. I mentioned to her about baby’s head coming down more and feeling it right there when I push for the loo, and she says it can be normal for baby’s head to pop in and out with different positions! How weird! She is happy with how everything is progressing, heartbeat and growth is fine, movement is fine. She’s just one heeeeeell of a low down baby lol. Hopefully that will work in our favour when she finally decides to make her appearance Grin

Thanks to all of you who have been concerned and following this thread. No squishy baby pictures yet though, sorry! Halo

Did you see my.post OP, I asked a few things that I didnt understand from my experiences of labour and pregnancy about some of the things you said.

RegalRita · 07/02/2020 22:50

I don’t know how to bookmark a whole thread so I’m commenting to placemark... I can’t understand how this baby will stay in through the night and I am so excited for you OP. Good luck!

yelyahyoung · 08/02/2020 05:44

@knowmenclature I just went back to find it, sorry!

So by thinning, I meant I can feel my cervix thinning. The wall between my finger and my baby’s head is getting thinner. My urge to push I believe is just because of the intense pressure I feel there, especially when her head comes right down, and not to do with actual labour and her actually being ready to come right now. Otherwise she’d probably be here by now lol. We only live 10 minutes away from the hospital anyway so it could be worse. And by ‘coming up’ I meant her head being RIGHT THERE when I push for the toilet. Then she simply goes back in a little bit. It’s the weirdest thing, but both the helpline and the midwives said it was ok. Hmm
Oh and with my lady parts changing, well I don’t know... they just feel different. They feel like they are ‘accomodating’? Stretching? Especially when her head is right there, the whole thing obviously feels more open. It’s hard to explain. But I guess it simply is just stretching. There is a lot more discharge too. Nothing I’ve experienced before so I find it quite strange.

@RegalRita lol thanks! She’s managed to keep herself in for a couple of days now though.... I hope she is on her way, or at least has plans to try in the next few days!! Lol Grin

More discharge could mean bits of your mucous plug coming away.

There's not very far for your baby to go! She's all but born, from your description OP. I don't know how you can walk, or whether walking is advisable with her head between your legs this way.

You are in labour if your cervix is thinning. Whether you can feel it or not, thats labour.

latheritup · 09/02/2020 01:19

I really hope your baby is here soon! Loving the updates
