Feels like something is coming out?

I have no idea how to even describe it lol but I was having pressure and pain last night and the feeling that something is coming out of my vagina? Still feeling it now, especially when on the birthing ball! Like maybe a similar feeling to when you’re about have a big bit of blood come out when you’re on your period? Like something I could take out and it would be a soft ball of something😂 I don’t know😂 Nothing has actually come out yet, but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this lol. Never felt that before, but been having the pressure and pain in my lower pelvis, bum, and back pain, for a few days. I’m 37 weeks today. Baby has been engaged since about 34 weeks I think, at least. Thanks ladies!

And no, it's not normal for the head to be at the entrance to your vagina unless they're about to be born...

BlueCookieMonster · 04/02/2020 20:13

Is baby moving ok?

I’ve seen women with heads very low down, but not in labour. Can just be a quirk of the body.

Perhaps, if you are concerned just go get checked out. Perhaps take a book as well if triage is busy. As long as you and baby are ok, they’ll probably just let you get on with it.

BlueCookieMonster · 04/02/2020 20:15

Hmm actually, on second thoughts perhaps do go and get someone to take a look at you, just to be on the safe side.

takeyourrubbishhome · 04/02/2020 20:16

I think you need to be examined OP. We can’t tell what you’re feeling, and maybe someone qualified should see what’s going on. Is baby moving ok?

user246854 · 04/02/2020 20:18

I know exactly what you mean by baby head being so low.

With my first I was over due and woke up feeling so much pressure that I called hospital and was told I wasn't in labour if no contractions, I was nervous so just turned up at hospital... they were not happy, I had my first contraction stood at reception desk and turned out I was 9cm and Dd was born 15 minuets later. Waters broke just before she was born

With second and third children I went into hospital as soon as pressure feeling started and was overdue, I was 7cm both times and just sat in delivery chatting until contractions started, after 1st contraction dd2 was born within 15 minutes in her waters and dd3 was born within 12 minutes again waters went just before I had her

With 4th I was warned to go start away or call ambulance if contractions started, called hospital to say I was going to come in and they said I couldn't as hospital had closed due to no bed, next hospital is over 1 hour away explained my situation and they told me to come in, I was put into a empty ward and midwife was taken out a training course to come deliver me, again I just sat there and once contracts started she was born within 10 minutes again in her waters

I was overdue with all mine but if your getting any sort of tightenings in belly along with pressure then I would urge you to just go and get checked as you can dilate very quickly and pain free... I have 4 times

BecauseReasons · 04/02/2020 20:19

Just go in. Someone needs to take a look.

ofwarren · 04/02/2020 20:22

You need to get examined OP. I also have precipitous labours. My last baby I had no pain till the water broke and it was one continuous contraction and he was born 8 minutes later Envy (not envy)

Wilmalovescake · 04/02/2020 20:22

For the love of God please go and get someone to actually check you both over.

latheritup · 04/02/2020 20:23

I'm also saying you need to get checked! I'm 38 weeks and have not experienced this!

yelyahyoung · 04/02/2020 20:33

@MilleniumHallsWalledGarden it does doesn’t it!! Maybe I didn’t describe it well enough over the phone earlier which caused her not to worry...

@Spam88 but shouldn’t I at least be getting some sort of pain? I’m so confused!

Yes baby is moving ok and normally. Perhaps I should go in after all then! Better to be safe than sorry!

spacepoppers · 04/02/2020 20:37

It could be your waters about to break. But as another poster mentioned, it could be a cord prolapse. Which is an emergency. Please go to the hospital and get someone to take a look. ASAP.

missymousey · 04/02/2020 20:38

Is baby moving okay?

It can happen super quick and it sounds like she's well on her way. There isn't a downside in going to the hospital, is there? Definitely at least call your midwife and describe this to her not to us!!

spacepoppers · 04/02/2020 20:39

Sorry, should have added...I'm a midwife. Please go now and get checked out. I cannot stress enough how important it is!

TrixieFranklin · 04/02/2020 20:46

Good luck OP

Pineappletree33 · 04/02/2020 20:46

Gosh op. I think a check is definitely in need, if only to put your mind at ease.

Jojo2wyatr · 04/02/2020 20:49

@yelyahyoung, you're welcome! I hope you are holding your DD right this second👼🏼

MrsHardbroom · 04/02/2020 20:52

Hope all is well OP

yogo · 04/02/2020 20:54

You need to go and get a quick check

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 04/02/2020 20:56

Um... Hospital! ShockConfused

Good luck! Grin

drivingtofrance · 04/02/2020 20:58

Hope you've gone to the hospital op.

anitagreen · 04/02/2020 21:01

I'm also another who has no pain until pushing my first I had pains for about 20 minutes and finally started pushing and she was born would of been sooner but I didn't realise I was allowed to push she was my first.
My second I had no pain again and then got a big sensation to start pushing I think and he was born within 15 minutes
My third I was induced on the hormone drip felt nothing at all until the last 10 minutes where I started screaming they examined and said your only 6cms within 1 minute my baby was out and nearly hit the floor.
That labour has been recorded as 3 minutes Confused

OhSoOuting · 04/02/2020 21:09

What does your bump feel like when you touch it? All I had was a feeling of pressure low down, and a feeling of unease. Went to the midwife for a sweep, and she was somewhat startled to find I was already 6cm gone. She noticed while I couldn’t feel contractions happening, she could feel my bump going rigid with them by touching it, and sent me up to the hospital for a trace. They found I was 8cm by the time I got there, they broke my waters and DS pretty much shot out!

mommymooo · 04/02/2020 21:10

I had weird pressure pain then a spontaneous birth so from oh that feels strange to holding my son was 1h 3minutes.
Get checked x

Legoandloldolls · 04/02/2020 21:22

It could be a prolapse, I'd go in if I was you. I dont think your cervix should be that far down. Baby should be above it waiting for it to thin out.

I felt like myinsides where wanting to escape - after giving birth. Pretty sure it the pressure of my bladder and bowel wanting to fall out from my relaxed pelvic floor 🤔
