Feels like something is coming out?

I have no idea how to even describe it lol but I was having pressure and pain last night and the feeling that something is coming out of my vagina? Still feeling it now, especially when on the birthing ball! Like maybe a similar feeling to when you’re about have a big bit of blood come out when you’re on your period? Like something I could take out and it would be a soft ball of something😂 I don’t know😂 Nothing has actually come out yet, but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this lol. Never felt that before, but been having the pressure and pain in my lower pelvis, bum, and back pain, for a few days. I’m 37 weeks today. Baby has been engaged since about 34 weeks I think, at least. Thanks ladies!

@knowmenclature well it certainly is a bit of a challenge to walk too far lol! Until this all started a few days ago, I was taking our little chihuahua dog for at least a 2 or 3 mile walk everyday but not a chance I could do that now lol! Having to try and take him for a couple of short ones instead. I’d be too scared of being too far from home without help if any trouble occurred.

And as for being in labour... is it even possible for it to go on for this long? Like stretched out over a few days without not much progression?!

I have found this so fascinating Grin what an odd sensation it must be! Good luck, hopefully it's an easy birth!!
You can be in 'slow labour' for days or even weeks, I think, it's just your body preparing!

ballsdeep · 09/02/2020 20:21

The baby can pop in and out???? Surely you'd be fully dilated if this were to happen? It's a baby not a bloody jack in the box..

IvinghoeBeacon · 09/02/2020 20:27

I had this - I could feel his head pressing down on the upper wall of my vagina - the cervix was further back. I had a long labour but a very straightforward one.

FatimaLovesBread · 09/02/2020 20:36

How far in are you feeling with your fingers OP? Your cervix is normally quite far in, I could only just reach mine in both pregnancies.

Just wondering if its vaginal wall rather than cervix maybe?

When your midwife said popping in and out do they mean in your pelvis? When they're measuring how engaged the head is?

Kateplaysrugbyinmydreams · 09/02/2020 20:45

This is a weird thread! Glad everything's ok but weird stuff here!

changedUsernam · 09/02/2020 21:22

Chihuahuas can walk 3 miles?! I sort of thought you had to keep them in a handbag...

Hope you're doing okay OP.

yelyahyoung · 09/02/2020 22:09

Yes it is an extremely strange sensation lol, quite uncomfortable too! It’s like are you coming or not woman?! Lol Grin
And lol @ballsdeep (lol at your username too haha!) she literally is a bloody jack in a box!! I thought this too about having to be fully dilated but nope, apparently not. FYI though it’s not her actual bare head! She is still inside where she should be, just... popping in and out! I know, it’s super strange 🤷‍♀️

@IvinghoeBeacon glad to hear I’m not the only one lol. Hope my labour will be straightforward too! @FatimaLovesBread no they don’t mean in my pelvis, my cervix is really short now so I am fully effaced and just dilating now I guess. Clearly not in active labour yet though, boooo. Hopefully not long?!
@Kateplaysrugbyinmydreams lol isn’t it just! You learn something new every day eh! @changedUsernam 5cm for a week?! Wow! It’s possible then! Did you have much pain?
@missymousey lol! I know, but no he sure loves his walks! Halo
And not yet @RositaEspinosa Grin

How exciting, can't be long now. With my second I was woken up in moderate pain on Sunday night, at my midwife appointment on Monday I was 2 cm, pain came and went over next few days, Thursday night I'm woken up again, lots of pain, at midnight, called hospital at 2am, they don't think its been long enough, but I'm insistent it really hurts, I'm 7cm on arrival at about 3am and baby born at 9. The longest labour, but so gentle I was taking the kids to the park next day.

Dullblue · 11/02/2020 13:45

Any sign of a baby yet!? 😊

Jojo2wyatr · 11/02/2020 16:21

Hi @yelyahyoung....has darling LO arrived yet?
If not, and your waters haven't broken, google "babies born with amniotic sac intact" ..some amazing photos...maybe your DD will be born like this...1 in 80000 births and it's considered lucky. I believe I read that you need to tell the doctor not to break your water though..just let nature take it's course. ...Either way, we are so happy for you and that you are keeping a calm demeanor while waiting.I can imagine that DD will be a lovely LO just like her mummy. Have you chosen a name yet?
Looking forward to all her darling details👼🏼👼👼🏽👼🏾👼🏿 Flowers

QuiteForgetful · 12/02/2020 01:41

@wonderstuff that’s a good story! Hopefully mines gonna turn out quite similar?! I am bloody surprised she still hasn’t made her appearance yet lol

@Jojo2wyatr I’ve read about that also. Our bodies really do do some spectacular things!! And yes we have chosen her name to be Mollie Smile still stuck on the middle name though lol...

And no guys, still no baby!! Can you believe it!! Still the same stuff going on and increasing pressure, can’t sit down now for more than a few minutes lol. And was totally convinced my waters were trickling down my leg yesterdayConfused as I walked out of Costa. I used their toilet whilst I waited for my coffee so I didn’t pee myself🤣 but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t my waters. My underwear seemed damp but I had been walking around for a bit if you get my drift lol, so the wind through my tights probably made me feel cold like it was my waters! I’ll keep an eye on it though.
NOW PLEASE, COME ON BABY! Grin

Hopefully she'll arrive soon!

Jojo2wyatr · 13/02/2020 07:21

Mollie is an adorable name for your little one. No suggestions on a middle name, but just make sure her initials dont spell something awkward. I had friend with JAW, another with RAW, my sister in laws initials spelt out EAT...which is quite unfortunate because she has bit of weight problem poor thing...how about Rose?

I know a friend of a friend who's maiden name was Flowers and she married a Mr. Bush. Kind of awkward. But she loved it.Flowers

yelyahyoung · 13/02/2020 08:18

@Jojo2wyatr Mrs Rose Bush... that is just the cutest thing lol.
Aww, I have just sent OH a text to see what he thinks of Rose as he is at work... it fits nicely with Mollie, and the initials would be MRM so nothing awkward hahaGrin but knowing him, he won’t like it! Lol!

This thread just keeps on giving. I can’t believe you haven’t had that baby yet op! She must be coming soon, surely?!

yelyahyoung · 13/02/2020 12:21

@TeddyIsaHe well what can I say, I am just a gift that keeps on giving Wink LOL. Yeah I really can’t believe she isn’t here yet either! She HAS to be on her way!!

OP posts:
LillianFullStop · 13/02/2020 12:47

She has to be! How many weeks are you now OP?

Lunafortheloveogod · 13/02/2020 12:54

Oh my days don’t sneeze! Or do actually you’ve been hanging on ages Grin

Id definitely look at babies born en caul.. it’s not common but I didn’t think their head doing the Hokey Cokey was either! I didn’t get the urge to push till after I’d had the epidural Grin

sockittome123 · 13/02/2020 17:36

Mollie is such a lovely name!

Jojo2wyatr · 13/02/2020 20:30

Hi All Mollie waiters,
I think @yelyahyoung said she was at 37 weeks when she first posted so she's not gone past yet. Maybe Mollie wants to make her debut on Valentine's Day🤰🤱❤
