Feels like something is coming out?

I have no idea how to even describe it lol but I was having pressure and pain last night and the feeling that something is coming out of my vagina? Still feeling it now, especially when on the birthing ball! Like maybe a similar feeling to when you’re about have a big bit of blood come out when you’re on your period? Like something I could take out and it would be a soft ball of something😂 I don’t know😂 Nothing has actually come out yet, but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this lol. Never felt that before, but been having the pressure and pain in my lower pelvis, bum, and back pain, for a few days. I’m 37 weeks today. Baby has been engaged since about 34 weeks I think, at least. Thanks ladies!

Hope everything went well for you x

BobbyBlueCat · 05/02/2020 21:06

@BertieBotts are you serious?
An ambulance?

People like you are the reason the emergency services are on their knees.
There is ZERO reason for an ambulance.

She could get friend/family/neighbour to take her. She could drive herself. A taxi. A bus.
Anything but a sodding ambulance!

FoamingAtTheUterus · 05/02/2020 21:10

BobbyBlueCat let's just hope everything is ok with the op because if it isn't you and you're going to look like an utter cunt.

And yes, that is a good choice of words. 💁🏻‍♀️

xJune88 · 05/02/2020 21:12

Really hope all is ok x

soundsystem · 05/02/2020 21:14

Also hoping all is ok with the OP

sockittome123 · 05/02/2020 21:19

Another one hoping OP is OK

DesLynamsMoustache · 05/02/2020 21:26

@BobbyBlueCat She said to call an ambulance if the baby's head was coming out. You don't piss about getting a taxi if the baby's head is on its way out. You would be absolutely nuts. The first thing they drilled into us in antenatal classes was that if you feel like you might make it to hospital, you call
an ambulance and don't risk the journey.

OP later clarified what she meant by feeling the head.

DesLynamsMoustache · 05/02/2020 21:27

Anyway hope all is well, OP Thanks

BobbyBlueCat · 05/02/2020 21:28

@FoamingAtTheUterus oh god, no. I truly hope the OP is okay and wouldn't wish her anything but that.

But even if it isn't, I stand 100% by my comment. At that point, with what was presenting, an ambulance was still never the correct thing. At all.

FoamingAtTheUterus · 05/02/2020 22:04

You wouldn't phone an ambulance if you were alone and could feel what felt like a head in your vagina ? Oh piss off.

As I said, let's just hope things are ok.

MoonlightMistletoe · 05/02/2020 22:35

I hope everything is ok OP!

TossACoinToYourWitcher · 05/02/2020 22:42

Hope all is well OP

Hi again everyone!! I am overwhelmed by coming back to all these messages lol, thank you all!! The midwives still seem to think everything is fine. For now. She’s just suuuuuper low. But I strongly believe that things are definitely happening and progressing! My lady parts are changing, baby’s head is still right there (and comes right up when I push for the toilet and then kind of ‘goes back in’...very weird...) and I am getting tightenings and it feels like I am thinning out lol. The urge to push is getting stronger so I believe she is definitely on her way. My next midwife appt is this Friday so if no change by then, I will get an update from her. Hopefully. But everything is all well with baby and she’s still happy and kicking. So no DD as of yet but I will keep you all updated..... thank you all x

Willow4987 · 05/02/2020 23:38

Doesn’t the urge to push mean your in labour?

Myshinynewname · 05/02/2020 23:43

Urge to push?? I didn't get an urge to push until my babies were almost here.
Did you go to hospital yesterday or just speak to the midwives on the phone?

Ilovefriday · 05/02/2020 23:45

If you are feeling the urge to push then you are in labour! It could still be hours but then again... Good luck!

thaegumathteth · 05/02/2020 23:50

Did you see a midwife or just speak on the phone?

I only felt the urge to push when in labour but then tbh I felt the urge to push and I pushed it's like a sneeze you can't stop it

Indella · 06/02/2020 00:17

Are you sure you’re feeling the head and not a bladder or bowel prolapse? Particularly with what you said about it coming down when on the toilet.

MoonlightMistletoe · 06/02/2020 00:38

It sounds like baby is fully engaged and that's why you can feel her so low which is normal, along with the heavy pressure feeling because you have got a head there.

Now let the pains begin Grin good luck x

MoonlightMistletoe · 06/02/2020 00:41

Seriously people relax the head is supposed to be there , I could feel the exact same thing when I was near labour it's normal. I'd be more concerned if I couldn't feel a head Grin

wateraddict · 06/02/2020 01:13

I walked around for at least two weeks at 2cm dilates; my final check at home surprised the midwife too! It sounds just the same as me, if the medics are happy crack on and all the best for baby's arrival.

wateraddict · 06/02/2020 01:14

Oops dilated!

ofwarren · 06/02/2020 02:41

Urge to push? You don't get that unless the baby is coming! Did you actually get examined or just talk on the phone?

MummyOfBoyAndGirl · 06/02/2020 04:14

Sounds like you're in labour!

QuiteForgetful · 06/02/2020 04:30

Sounds like the texts my cousin was sending me last summer. She only had pains right at the end, and they had to pull the car over to the side if the road where she gave birth. All of her babies came quickly, with barely any pain until the last hour.

Let us know when baby arrives! Good luck!
