I'm 40+2 with DC2. DM is staying to look after DD1 when the time comes.
I'm fed up, we're just milling around waiting! Bouncing on the birth ball, eatinv pineapple and planning a spicy curry for tonight.

I'm tired and grumpy. Anyone care to join me? I'm clearly a delight to be around Wink

She said I was 2cm. Baby all comfortable. Just got home from walking around after lunch and felt something go. I had a completely red blob on pantyliner and its soaked with blood. Off to hospital for check up now eek

teamrigby · 22/12/2015 17:41

Apparently it was just my bloody mucas show! I thought it was a lot of blood but clearly not.

Ran tests for baby's movement, heartbeat, etc and did an internal checkup. All is good apparently and after 3 hrs at hospital been sent home to rest :/

teamrigby · 23/12/2015 16:12

Any news from jam? :)

jamtartandcustard · 23/12/2015 18:08

(and will no doubt be on here on Wednesday crying about still be pregnant!)

Me --> :'-( :'-( :'-(

Thought I was going into labour this morning. Then it all stopped. I'm worried my stress levels stopped it so have true to relax but nothing yet. I've cried. I'm fed up. Still have plug coming away (jeez how much is there??), had the shits since yesterday morning (sorry tmi) which is agony with the piles, I bent over and pulled a muscle in my back and could hardly move for a few hours. Basically, I'm just fucking miserable.
And breath..........

Glad the blood was nothing serious and all is looking good for you.

teamrigby · 23/12/2015 19:33

Oh jam I'm so with you!

Nothing occurring today at all :/ bar got the shits and BH in lower bump!

Had a bit of a stroppy melt down at other half and he just hugged me saying it's ok I'm still putting the finishing touches on! Made me feel worse :(

When are they planning on induction for you if nothing happens? They're going to ring me on Xmas day to book time on 27th.

jamtartandcustard · 23/12/2015 20:21

They've booked me in for induction on 26th even though I told the midwife (not my normal one) I won't be induced on Boxing Day. It's our Christmas day with my step-daughter but the midwife wasn't listening. I'm not meant to be induced anyway as I've had a previous c section.
I thought I'd phone them up on Saturday morning and explain the situation to delivery ward then. I'll only be 12 days overdue. My first was 16 days late and c-section due to failed induction. My second was 13 days late. I clearly just like to cook my babies longer.
I did have a massive breakdown earlier but feel I have turned a corner. I've tried everything to get this baby out and nothing works. He/she will only come when he/she is ready and not a minute sooner. Be that Xmas day or New Year's Day. Nothing I can do anymore so I'm feeling a lot more relaxed and chilled out tonight. Hoping for a good nights sleep and then I'm just going to enjoy Christmas.

Persephone76 · 24/12/2015 15:58

Got my fingers crossed for both of you, i don't think people understand how hard it is to be so overdue...and when midwives don't listen it makes it twice as stressful!

teamrigby · 24/12/2015 16:23

Went to Waitrose and bumped into a friend and just had a full on meltdown in the car park! :( queue hugs and lots of starring!! :(

Got home and had a little baking session only to have another breakdown when my mini mince pies were all stuck in the baking tray! :( (all rescued now by genius SIL)

Daffodil90 · 26/12/2015 19:29

Hope everyone had a fab Xmas :)

Any Xmas babies ladies??

AverageSnowflake01 · 26/12/2015 22:14

40+3 now, thought baby would arrive on 23rd or even Xmas day. But nope, still no sign. Although I did have painful cramps twice last night lasting about 30 mins each. Then when I went to pee, it looked like there was a bit of blood.

teamrigby · 27/12/2015 08:43

Still cooking! Was just glad to make it through Christmas Day lol

I'm scheduled for induction tomorrow (28th)

Anyone heard from jam? She was booked in for yesterday.

teamrigby · 27/12/2015 08:44

Welcome to the club AverageSnowflake

41+5 here :/

AverageSnowflake01 · 27/12/2015 12:49

teamrigby I would lose my mind at 41+5, hope I don't get that far along. Have a membrane sweep tomorrow so fingers crossed it works.

jamtartandcustard · 27/12/2015 13:38

hey ladies. well i made it through Christmas day! had a wonderful and relaxing day with all the family. maybe a little too relaxing though as when i was in the bath that evening i had one hell of a contraction and all hell let loose! less then 4hours later, at 00.37am on boxing day, little Oscar arrived, weighing in at 7lb14oz Grin he is just so dinky and perfect.
good luck with the induction tomorrow teamrigby almost over now. i almost cried with joy yesterday morning when i realised i could finally cut my toe nails! its the little things in life

teamrigby · 27/12/2015 14:32

Oh congratulations jam!!

I'm so pleased for you Smile Smile

I've had a few irregular contractions last night but nothing occurring today. At least I know it will be tomorrow Smile

Daffodil90 · 27/12/2015 20:34

Congratulations jam!!
Oscar is a beautiful name too :)

Know what you mean about the toe nails lol - my polish had almost grown out ....whoops!

Good luck for induction teamrigby - another bundle of joy to join the Dec '15 ranks :)

DoctoraNova · 28/12/2015 11:29

Hello everybody. Can I join in? Starting to feel a tiny bit desperate now at 40+5 but also desperately trying to remain positive.
I live in Spain where they are very, very, very intervention happy, and usually induce in my hospital at 41 weeks...

jamtartandcustard · 28/12/2015 14:02

Good luck today teamrigby I hope it all goes smoothly, and if they offer you an epidural be sure to take it Wink

AverageSnowflake01 · 29/12/2015 13:59

Don't think my sweep worked. I've had a bit of spotting and mild back pain, but that's it. I really don't want an induction. I have one booked for the 6th Jan. I was hoping to have a waterbirth, but I don't think its possible with an induction.

teamrigby · 30/12/2015 08:22

Was induced late on 27th and had quite a bad 24 hr labour.

Peter was born at 7.42pm on 28th, weighing 7lb 10 1/2.

Messed me up quite a bit but gorgeous and both home now :)

AverageSnowflake01 · 30/12/2015 08:52

Congrats rigby Flowers

AverageSnowflake01 · 30/12/2015 08:52

I lost my mucus plug this early morning and I've been kept awake with back pain and cramps.

strawberryandaflake · 30/12/2015 11:36

Go Jam! That's my OH's name Grin. So pleased you finally popped! Enjoy the cute snuggles xxx

strawberryandaflake · 30/12/2015 11:37

Well done Rigby too! You'll get better, I was in a massive state too.

Aah snowflake, keep an eye on the backache, lots of labour starts that way xx

AverageSnowflake01 · 31/12/2015 22:32

I'm so annoyed. I wrote a long reply and it didn't post. I will update when I'm not busy with my little one.
