...but that last BH made my eyes water. And the previous two weren't very comfortable, either.

Um. I have a surveyor coming round to the house on Monday and I also booked in to get my roots done for Monday afternoon.

We are trying to get DS through bath time and bedtime at the mo'.

And DH wants to go and get a takeaway after DS is in bed.

The house is in a state as well.

Look, this isn't a veery convenient time.

Okay, if things are kicking off, which I hope they aren't and bet they aren't now I've started a thread about it, how can I slow it down/stop it for a couple of days?

I have just read this whole thread. jars you have a fabulous way with words and have made me laugh.

For my tuppence worth with regards to labour - yes I'd fill the pool now. I guess if you don't use it tonight DS will think your the best mum in the world for the indoor swimming pool tomorrow. Grin

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 19:18

Anything more exciting happening?

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 19:20

Oh and I totally second jars' way with words. You completely rock.

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:21

Have you had a rummage of your cervix?

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 19:30

:o

HRHOliviaMumsnet · 01/06/2012 19:32

GOOD LUCK

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:34

Oh and how much cocodamol is safe to take at a time?

Have a cupboard full of the stuff.....

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:35

Lol. Why not? (apart from infection risk and actual physical ability etc.)

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:36

Where've you gone?

Did you just sneeze a baby out or are you simply reading the pool instructions?

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 01/06/2012 19:40

Hi Jacks - long time no 'see' :) x

Hi YouAreKidding :)

Hi everyone else :)

Now - OpenJars ... you need to know the rules of a live birth thread - (and how we love a LBT!!)... you need to POST Grin (or get someone else to!!)

Good luck my lovely... remember, one quick sneeze and it will all be over! x

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 19:40

I was at the word "rummage". :o
Especially as related to the cervix.
It's such a fabulously descriptive and disgusting word :o

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:47

I'd advise at this stage waterproofing your iPad/laptop/iPhone with cling film....... A water birth is NO excuse for not posting.

I'm particularly keen to read a live transition!!!

NicNocJnr · 01/06/2012 19:48

Ha.....ha...have I missed baby jars? Not quite, phew sorry Jars
Dear god woman, you can't make me run upstairs with this pelvic floor, I nearly tripped over a fallopian tube.

So ladies, is it holding hands and a good old Cumbaya? Or are we doing a collective lentil weave? I have some puy here.

Hope all is well Jars, I'm sorry it seems a bit erratic but like I said #3 gave us a heck of a shock, he was waving at me before I finished moaning about my slow labour!
I take co-codamol everyday for my Crohn's and associated fuckuppery and I miss the old days when it was a lovely swimmy sesh after popping the pills! (I'm not a junkie now I promise you, just very hurty). I take 30/500's 2 q4h, but my consultant said I can take 3 occasionally for a very bad time. I'm a reet big lass though and of course am not recommending this for others.

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:48

Have you seen the My Beautiful Cervix website?

Essential looking!

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:49

I just got a bottle of liquid. It's fecking huge and was given in error. Think it has a decent black market rate!

Portofino · 01/06/2012 19:50

Ooh I was expecting a baby announcement - but I haven't missed it! Yay!

NicNocJnr · 01/06/2012 19:51

Is it terrible to admit I couldn't reach my cervix even if I wanted to...and that's now, let alone 9 months full of baby.
Dh offered once as he thought he had to for official baby reasons .
I politely declined!

Just me then? Sad

Impatientwino · 01/06/2012 19:51

Oooh yes!!! Get in the jars! Hope all goes well my lovely x

EmptyCrispPackets · 01/06/2012 19:53

Cocodamol can be taken 4-6 hourly, no more than 8 in 24 hours and don't forget they have the paracetamol in them. Smile

youarekidding · 01/06/2012 19:55

anyone hoping openerofjars will return as openerofcervix and a new baby - right about now. Grin

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 19:56

So what's the recommended dosage for codeine phosphate syrup?

GnocchiNineDoors · 01/06/2012 19:59

Checking back in....still no sign? Come on baby jars!

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 20:02

Hey hey, tankini top on, MW on her way, pool half full ore thereabouts, contractions painful as fuck and about 4 mins apart.

I have this awful feeling the MW will do her rummage and say, "no, not even slightly effaced". And she'll have had a 45 minute drive to get here. She was having her tea when I called. But we have Official Jubilee Biscuits for her,so hope that makes up for it.

Oh, I forgot all about how much this hurts when swi last year!

OP posts:
RillaBlythe · 01/06/2012 20:02

Oooooh, hope you are off filling up the pool!

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 20:03

A bottle of what kind of liquid, Starlight? Do I really want to know?

Sadly, I can easily find my cervix. As the damn thing is falling down. (Shit forceps delivery.)
