...but that last BH made my eyes water. And the previous two weren't very comfortable, either.

Um. I have a surveyor coming round to the house on Monday and I also booked in to get my roots done for Monday afternoon.

We are trying to get DS through bath time and bedtime at the mo'.

And DH wants to go and get a takeaway after DS is in bed.

The house is in a state as well.

Look, this isn't a veery convenient time.

Okay, if things are kicking off, which I hope they aren't and bet they aren't now I've started a thread about it, how can I slow it down/stop it for a couple of days?

good luck :)

ShowOfHands · 01/06/2012 03:04

Oh how exciting. Do try and rest between contractions if you can. When that statement gets annoying, you're in transition.

How marvellous. A new baby for a new month. June 1st. Good day for a birthday I reckon.

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 03:11

Dunno re girl or boy.

Cx have slowed right down & I'm getting tired. I'm now in a dark house, no one else is up, going to have a rest for a bit and see if it starts up again.

I feel like a right berk.

Night night. Thanks for being here.

I tell you what, I'm glad I let DH sleep.

Night Opener - for now anyway.

A bit of kip and I suspect you'll have a nice, gross surprise in the morning and with even more plug gone you'll start afresh.
You've got quite a band of cheerleaders now! Fingers crossed you get some rest and things start again properly in the morning. I got big surprise with #3 though so don't feel like a berk, you never know!

SilentBoob · 01/06/2012 04:58

Exciting!

Jacksmania · 01/06/2012 05:00

Are you up? Anything happening?

It's 9 pm here. I'll be around for a bit.

PinkFondantFancy · 01/06/2012 05:26

Checking back in to see how you're doing! Hope you're getting some rest OP

pushmepullyou · 01/06/2012 05:54

I wouldn't have another if I was you. Mine is up for the day. Having been up most of the night. And tbh he's (nearly) old enough to know better.

Hope you're getting some sleep x

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 06:59

Just got woken up by pain. Am going to lie low & try not to frighten them away...

Modernlifeishubris · 01/06/2012 07:52

Oops Good, God too, of you want him there

GnocchiNineDoors · 01/06/2012 08:04

My word I go to sleeo and theres all manner of drama going on here
I have reorted too

good luck for today Jars, squeeeeeeee!

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 09:01

Ta!

Having good pains about 6 mins apart, at a guess (not going to time them for a bit) and a terrible urge to do laundry...

DS gone off with mum, so feel a bit less restricted by worrying about him. DH just popping into work, which is v close, for half an hour, to set things up for paternity leave and then is coming home with alacrity and possibly a bacon butty.

We have an agreement that we will tell the other grandparents afterwards as they have slight form for getting giddy and may come round to check all is okay.

On with the show (or rather, out with the show and possibly the amniotic fluid as well). Gosh, isn't childbirth gross?

It is a peach.

I am without Mumsnet for 5 days gasp starting tomorrow morning, so am hoping to be able to do a virtual welcome to BabyJar before I go..... not to pile the pressur on or anything.

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 09:45

Omg! Mil, is that you? Wink

Seriously. How the hell are you going to cope without MN for that long? I am totally hooked, as am on mat leave, and five days woud mean I'd have to relate to people IRL. And I can't be doing with that. I like it here in the interwebs.

I know, we are going to a Safari Park tomorrow, then camping (wht a 5mo, eeek, nervous) then down to Liverpool for a few days with the inlaws.

I shall miss my little virtual land Sad

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 10:30

Sounds lovely, 5mo are gorgeous and cuddly, even if they don't appear to need sleep in the same way as normal people, and I hope you have nice ILs.

Okay, getting a wee tiny bit sore now. But am not phoning the MW as this seems to stop everything in its tracks. What a silly baby: doesn't like me talking to medics or taking cocodamol.

FreckledLeopard · 01/06/2012 10:39

This is exciting! A Jubilee baby!

GnocchiNineDoors · 01/06/2012 11:26

Oooh, call her Queenie Grin or Kingston Hmm

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 12:23

Cx down to every 10 minutes. Sad

This sucks. I mean, it's it like I want to be in horrible aim, but I do want to meet my baby. And I feel quite embarrassed about making such a song and dance. DH has taken the day off work and DS has gone to his grandma's. And what am I doing? Bog all.

Stupid body.

homeaway · 01/06/2012 13:50

Jar every contraction is one closer to you meeting your little baby. They are doing something so dont get disheartened (sp). Try and have a bath , or have a bounce on a ball if you have one. Good luck.

MmeLindor. · 01/06/2012 14:59

Oooh, look at you. A live birth thread complete with nutter troll. How very MN.

Don't worry about inconveniencing people, it is better to have everything set up and ready than a mad scramble at the last minute.

In 5 years from today, your mum won't be saying, "FFS, remember when Jars had her baby and called me in at least 8 hours too early".

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 15:41

No, I am lucky like that plus, she gets to kidnap DS for longer which they will both love .

Went to bed for a nap, with cx every ten mins. Woke up with cx every ten mins. Got up, cx stopped. Confused. But at least I had some sleep, even if I wasn't sure what was going on when I woke up.
