spursmum · 31/01/2006 21:27

motherinferior · 31/01/2006 21:27

Three days? Something unspeakable like that.

starshaker · 31/01/2006 21:28

she popped out after 3 1/2 hours although was in "early labour" for 5 1/2 weeks

lucy5 · 31/01/2006 21:28

About 6 hours officially. I was induced so it all happened pretty quickly after a lot of hanging around.

Maddison · 31/01/2006 22:03

15 hours 6 minutes from first contraction to the birth.

hoolagirl · 31/01/2006 22:53

About 3 1/2 days, worth ever minute !

LeahE · 31/01/2006 22:57

From waters going until eventual c-section (large baby not descending at all even after a couple of hours of pushing), about 40 hours. I'm not sure how much of that was "official" labour, though, but it certainly felt like it...

cece · 31/01/2006 22:58

from induction to birth about 38 and half hours

gingernut · 31/01/2006 23:29

50h from first contraction.

Nbg · 31/01/2006 23:39

12 hours

Hattie05 · 31/01/2006 23:45

6 hours from the time i woke up with contractions.

What is the correct way of measuring this though? is it from the time of first contraction? waters breaking (although in my case they didn't)? Arriving at hospital/or midwife arriving at home!?

Its impossible to really measure as labour can be so very different isn't it.

SleepyJess · 31/01/2006 23:51

10h from water breaking (which happened without warning... whoooooosh! )

devilJARM · 31/01/2006 23:55

16.5hrs from waters being broken (induced)

TambaTheTemptress · 31/01/2006 23:55

2.5 hours

hunkermunker · 31/01/2006 23:59

Just under 12 hours start to finish (waters went) - active labour about 7 hours.

pucca · 01/02/2006 00:02

28 hrs from 1st pain to the end.

pucca · 01/02/2006 00:03

Forgot to add...waters went 1st then pains started straight away.

colditz · 01/02/2006 00:04

Waters broke 2pm Wednesday
Ds induced and born 7:55am Friday

sazhig · 01/02/2006 00:45

55 hours from first contraction to ds appearing. Only had 4 odd hours sleep total the whole time I was in labour & that was only when the epi kicked in & I was left to doze whilst the drip did its work - then didn't sleep for more than a few hours here & there for 4 day afterwards.Needless to say I was a bit of a mess at the end of the week!

TuttiFrutti · 01/02/2006 09:37

23 hours ending in an emergency C-section.
