My name is Hillbilly and I'm a camping junkie (or camping nerd as I was recently called!). I spend so much time on this topic here on MN it's almost embarrassing. Nuff said :-)

Blue diamond windbreak (doesn't rustle)

Slubberdelatrinae · 01/07/2013 21:34

I know a great halloumi joke. You can tell it to people as you cut it up.

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 21:34

I once really hurt my back whilst laughing too hard sitting in a sensible Outwell camping chair. Tru fact.

You really, really need a DEWAAARD Slubber, in fact I would go so far as to say life will never be truly happy without one. Gwan, I dare you.

Buffs are my camping threads revelation, I never knew I needed them in my life and now I have no idea where we would be without them.

Slubberdelatrinae · 01/07/2013 21:34

Although by telling you it's a joke about halloumi I've spoilt the punch line

Arse

Slubberdelatrinae · 01/07/2013 21:35

Buffs and halloumi = level 11 camping pleasure.

No I need a recc from someone who HAS one losty

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 21:37

I could pretend? Do a quick name change to 'IAmADewaardExpert' or something?

DameFanny · 01/07/2013 21:39

DH has just received some wakawaka lights via nonstarter. They charge up from a solar panel, ruin for up to 14 hours on the lowest setting and have a hole so you can turn a wine bottler into a lamp holder. Oh, and one of them will charge a phone as well. I may have to sneak them into the camping box.

DameFanny · 01/07/2013 21:40

What is a buff please? Tell me why I need one?

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 21:41

Link DameFanny?

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 21:43

Buffs because just by wearing one you become a super fit outdoorsy person.

Plus you can pull one up over your face to keep your chin/mouth warm and make everything look like a slightly sinister hostage situation.

YellowDinosaur · 01/07/2013 21:44

Ooh yes the blue diamond wind break! Forgot about that.....

I didn't discover halloumi on here but i'm loving the sound of halloumi strips wrapped in bacon.... Might try that this weekend!

So slubber, do share your hilarious halloumi joke (if you're not to distracted by lostys tent porn that is)

TheRealMBJ · 01/07/2013 21:46

Umm... What are Buff?

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 21:49

I have the Aldi version of a blue diamond wind break. It is ace. That's another thing camping MN taught me about, the Aldi camping kit week, our SIMs are from there and they are fantastic for £12.

nottersgotterdonkey · 01/07/2013 21:57

Am laughing hysterically at this pretence.

Oi Slubber, you never mentioned you thought I was guilty of "extreme idleness" in my moon chair did you? Hmm? When you were cutting up my Halloumi ?

(I know a joke about that but it's a bit smoke and mirrors. Without the mirrors.)

nottersgotterdonkey · 01/07/2013 21:58

Ahem to Aldi camping week LostinWales.

I think you and I would get on like a house on fire. Wink

nottersgotterdonkey · 01/07/2013 22:00

Slubber.

Never knowingly without a fire bucket.

#exceptwhenshesetsthingsonfire

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 22:04

I believe she might have said 'pathalogical idleness' notters. HTH

TheRealMBJ I did a linky just ^^up there. A buff is a versatile tube of fabric wot you can use to warm your neck, lower face, put over your hair or use as a hair band and immediately look like an outdoors goddess.

LostInWales · 01/07/2013 22:06

notters, you seem like a good sort, although I don't want to be friends with someone who sets things dangerously alight whilst camping. I trust you would never do that. #safetyfirst

colleysmill · 01/07/2013 22:06

I have to say I really enjoy the camping board - I have learnt a lot from just lurking and occasional posting.

Nothing quite beats being outdoors - dewy mornings, nippy nights, grass getting everywhere, beer in hand.

Blu · 01/07/2013 22:12

We have lost lots of buffs.

They are useful.

But very overpriced

Have I missed the Aldi camping week? I like the sound of an Aldi Blue Diamond.

Didn't hiilbilly abandon a Blue Diamond in a bit of a tantrum?

I have a horrible Halfords windbreak.

C'mon, Slubs, settle your self in your moon chair, or teeter in your teeny tiny chair as takes your fancy, and tell us the Halloumi joke.

nottersgotterdonkey · 01/07/2013 22:16

LostInWales

You would be amazed at how sensible and level headed I am.

Exactly not like that Slubber person.

piebald · 01/07/2013 22:16
