I think you did tell us notwaving? You might of course have been drunk and can't remember or indeed I might have made it all up under similar circumstances

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 22:37

Are you an undertaker Dave?

For those who have never been Chester it is veh naice with excellent shopping opportunities in a historical and fully pedestrianised environment. And we have a zoo.

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 22:39

and the Blue Planet Aquarium

lovecat · 18/09/2011 22:41

Can definitely do Jan, I usually go up to visit my mate in Liverpool around then as her birthday's the 27th, so can combine the two/make 2 trips. She's not a camper. She's groomed. Gets her nails done and everything...

If for whatever reason it was London rather than Chester, I can accomodate at least 2 of you in our spare room (having cleansed it for mum's arrival I have managed to prevent DD from re-commandeering it as a playroom and it remains in guest-friendly condition) and 3 airbeds &/or 3 SIMs for bedding down in the lounge/at the bottom of the bed in the spare room. DH won't mind, he is used to me meeting up with internet friends and bringing them back here to crash, poor sod. Although I'm officially Essex, we're only 20 mins from London on the tube.

[small at the thought of meeting in RL]

I'd be up for it in Jan in Chester definitely -I'll have money to spend and everything [grain]

We can get drunk on whisky and I can attempt the gay gordons over some delta pegs...

I'm overeager good for 25th Jan. Grin

Chester sounds lovely, but just wanted to add - if it is London in the end, I can offer floorspace in sitting room and two Fat Airics to two of you. Sorry, being bloody London and spending all our money on travel, we have a two-bed garden flat only, so no rooms to offer. I could offer my bed, but you'd have to share with dh. He doesn't snore too much. Actually, ds can go in bed with us, so can offer 2 FA and a toddler bed. [grain]

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 22:43

Yippee its all coming together! I'll look forward to hearing from you tomorrow notwaving (and finding out your rl names - that will be wierd!) Smile

lovecat · 18/09/2011 22:46

Oh, sod it, huge x-post!

Yay, Chester. I love the Cathedral. I realise this makes me a complete sad sack, but I try to go and see it every time I visit. I have a thing for the archangel window...

Ooh! Speaking of coats, that reminds me!! Does anyone remember that absolute tropical storm downpour we had 2 weeks ago in London, about 5pm on a Tuesday? I had just left work and, in walking the 100 yards to the station, I got so wet it literally looked like I'd jumped into a swimming pool. Except for my top half, which remained dry as a bone beneath my TK Maxx waterproof coat (purchased for camping purposes after I got syphilitic rain at Latitude) :o. It's the first time it's been properly tested since its purchase. I was well chuffed (well, except for being soaked to the skin on my lower half and having to squelch home steaming gently on the hot train...it made the dye in my shoes run, it was that bad!)

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 22:46

Let's do Chester, we can all pile in more, but hey it will be fun :)

Cor I leave you lot to go and muck out the trenches and you get organised.

You are all v welcome here too. We might have caught the mouse by then. Cats locked in sitting room over night. I have bleached everything. Smetimes regret being sandwiched between fields and canals.

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 23:11

Notwaving, can't remember what you do for a living, but if you're not a Project Manager, you sure could keep that as a backup career! Am in awe.

Have no idea if it worked, but I've made my profile public again but with photos marked to MN Mates. I think I've added you all, but please should if I messed it up.

Love,
Dave.

lovecat · 18/09/2011 23:13

Loving Daveschooks.

DH is actually called Dave, as is my brother (it's the go-to name of the elder brother in the average 1960's nuclear family).

So much as I would like to namechange to LoveDave, I refuse to define myself in terms of my man!!! :o

notwavingjustdave · 18/09/2011 23:23

Thought I had broken my name. Grin

Am now going to watch Spooks.

Cover me.

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 23:26

My bil is called Dave too (yep he's the elder brother although would have been 1970 when he was born...)

DaveSalaneous you are gorgeous too lady don't know what you were on about! You ds is supercute too Smile

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 23:30

:) Thanks Yellow. I really am not though - I'm happiest in a desert or on a river somewhere, not sure how exactly we ended up living in London!

YellowDave · 18/09/2011 23:32

Well Londons got a big river innit?

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 23:37

That is true.

YellowDave · 18/09/2011 23:40

Off to bed now lovely ladies (should have been there ages ago as v tired after too much wine friends over last night but you are SUCH good company Smile). See you tomorrow! x

ImDaveandsoismywife · 19/09/2011 06:51

Morning all!

Just testing out the new name...

No? :o

notwavingjustdave · 19/09/2011 07:35

Sal, good luck for later Smile

Oi Dave and his wife, which Dave are you?

lostindave · 19/09/2011 08:13

Wow you lot talked a lot last night. I had two large glasses of wine instead of 10 points worth of food and couldn't see very well an early night.

Right onto the important stuff, I LOVE Chester Zoo Grin, maybe we could all meet by the penguins! I can do November or January as I have no plans.
