Goodness you have all been rabbiting on this afternoon. I have been at a football tournament in monsoon conditions and will be spending the next fourtnight trying to get mud out of every piece of clothing the boys own.

I am backing out of the meetup now I've seen how gorgeous slubber looks at the end of her camping holiday. I bet her deathsocks don't give her cankles.

I can do London or Chester I am as easy as notwaving [grain], Chester easier for me but if we go to London I can see my fabulous cousin and make a weekend of it. I am deffo up for Bala as it is only a couple of hours away and Dh can speak Welsh to the locals and charm them for us.

I can't click on Yellow either, shall we form a 'not in Yellow's quiche' quiche?

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 19:37

I've PM'd back everyone who has been in touch

I'll pm Lovecat, Jet and Chippy if they haven't come back by tomorrow. Anyone know Reshape?

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 19:39

Oh no! No idea what I have done - will go and investigate now! [grain] Obviously not enough wine!

Thanks Norman Grin.

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 19:44

Impressed with painters too MisSal! We need some decorating done - would they come to Newcastle do you think?!

It seems my profile wasn't public so thats why you couldn't click on my name. Should work now! [grain]

lovecat · 18/09/2011 19:51

Hellooooo! Can I still join in?

I didn't post for a bit because my mum was down and it seemed rather rude to be MNing with her in the room watching telly. Then I got back on and for some odd reason I couldn't post on the thread - tried about 4 times and it wouldn't let me. By the time it let me post I had about 15 pages to follow up on, and wanted a spare evening to read through and catch up. And because of this sodding play (ever wish you'd never started something - it opens on Friday and I'm just waaah pretty much every spare moment), I haven't had the time. Which of course became a vicious circle of needing time to read through and then the thread growing larger while I waited for a good time to do it in...

So I've been mooching around the rest of the board (it's scary out there, isn't it?) working up to reading 20-odd (very odd, in Slubber's case) pages of chat.

And finally I've done it!! Yay to Brambleschooks chooks being born, new cars and the ABA - beautiful pics, Slubs, your dds are gorgeous and you are far too thin for a woman who's been mainlining pork, potatoes and schnapps for a month! My God, MisSal, painters that clean up YOUR stuff? Wow! I want their details...

So, providing you're all talking to me still, what's this about a meet up? I can do London (obvs), but Chester is v. handy for me too as mum lives on the Wirral so I could stay at hers if needs be (although the idea of getting to test one of Slubber's thermarests is tempting). If anyone wanted a lift up I could drive. Can't think of any dates off-hand that I can't do apart from the last weekend of Oct/first weekend of Nov (am running lights for a show) but December tends to get booked up quickly - as I'm sure it does for everyone.

What do I need to do?

lovecat · 18/09/2011 19:54

spooky x-post there!

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 19:56

We bunted you and you came!

or we've got that scary Friends connection thing going on again

Either way, Yay! GrinGrin

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 19:57

God, X-posted with you again!

lovecat · 18/09/2011 19:58

It's a phemonenomenom...:o

lostinwales · 18/09/2011 19:58

Whew, back in Yellow's quiche.

lovecat you need to pm notwaving with your email then we can talk about the details away from a public forum. I'm very jealous of your lovely autumn weather, I could have swum home today.

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 20:06

Funtime Grin

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 20:12

Nice quiche Yellow Wink

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 20:13

Yellow you and yours all look so lovely. The men folk and background suggest some sort of energetic outdoor expedition and yet you look like you are all set for a night out on the town, snazzy sandals and everything. Grin
They are not your campingsandals are they?

Yay, lovecat is back [love and hugs]. Can I point out that the forrin posts are a bit on the random side because of the kindle.

Funtimewincies · 18/09/2011 20:13

Lovely to have you back Grin!

I'm becoming a little concerned that you're all way more attractive and glamorous than me. I also cannot find any recent photos of me a I'm always behind the camera Hmm.

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 20:28

Lucked out on painters indeed. Wish I knew about their hatred of chaos love of cleaning before, could have left them some of last night's dishes plus the week's work shirts to iron. I'm nice like that.

Helloooo Lovecat, was getting a bit concerned about you there for a moment! Glad you're back! Grin

Yellow, you are indeed glamourous.

I can put a photo on once I figure out the restrictions and stuff, but you'll need to remember that they are intensively photoshopped carefully selected, so I will have to wear a name badge on meetup. And stop eating chocolates 24 hours a day. Nah, stuff that. I'll bring a name badge.

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 20:28

pms they are so not my camping sandals!!! Those are rubber flipflops! Grin In the pic we are at Goodrich Castle which is near my parents so no need for proper outdoorsy stuff! liking you all thinking I am glamorous though - feeling far from it at the mo in my jeans and big fluffy slippers on the sofa Grin

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 20:31

Notters you have mail :)

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 20:31

Oh and helllooooo lovecat! Glad the rest of mumsnet hasn't suckered you back in away from the imaginary wierdos punters on this thread! Smile

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 20:37

Grin hello lovecat! I spotted you out there and thought you were brave!

Slubber, your kids are gorgeous! And you look lovely too, plus gorge tent Envy

Off to see if I'm yellow's friend yet...

OP posts:
SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 20:38

Yellow, yup, your gorgeous and so is your family Grin

OP posts:
lovecat · 18/09/2011 20:45

Yay!

If anything, my brief foray into FWR and stuff sent me running back here as fast as my hairy legs would carry me...

As for AIBU... I'm sure it was never that harsh in the past - and certainly without all the 'my life's harder than yours and I manage so just suck it up' competitiveness.

that's better :o

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 21:02

they are mighty fancy those flip flops of yours Yellow.

oh lovecat, you posted out there in the land of cahrayzeee? Why did you do that then?

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 21:04

I have been in the land of the crazeeee too and its fun [grain]. Especially after wine. Just need to not take too seriously!

Slubber I meant my camping shoes are flip flops not the ones in the pic. They are lovely Boden silver sandals [grain] most definately NOT camping shoes [grain]

Thanks all the the kind words. I am trying to live up to them and feel glamorous but struggling Grin
