Thank you for all the missives ladies

Sooo, it's a table for ten, in either London or Chester, some time in Oct/Nov/Dec in the name of Dave (amazing how many of us share a name Grin)

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 21:51

I understand now Yellow

Jolly good show Notters

Well that's that sorted!

Just realised if we went to Chester we could meet the thread chicks Smile!

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 21:55

Slubber will you bring your iceytek to the meetup sowe can all lovingly stroke it check it out? [grain]Grin

brambleschooks · 18/09/2011 22:02

She could bring the thread chicks in the iceytek.

Must admit, excited ab meet up, but a little concerned re hotel/travel costs coming up to christmas/birthdays.

Good news. Previous hatch (Mrs Doyles babies) went up to the welsh farm. Last night it was foxed. My bay bees have turned up safe tonight - they are the first hens that my friend hAs given names to - or more rightly kept the names ds2 gave them. I've told her to get a large dog.

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 22:03

Chester would be lots of fun, but I definitely can't do the 12th then, but don't mind if you go ahead without me as it's tough getting us all together this side of Xmas!

Downtown is wonderful Grin

Will watch Downton on catch up was all caught up with Spooks.

Brill Not (or should I say Dave?) it's a date!

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 22:07

'She could bring the thread chicks in the iceytek' Smile great plan!!

Yes travel / hotel costs in London will be HUGE. At least a couple of hundred quid for me and thats before food / drinks. When I went recently to visit my mate in hospital I couldn't find a hotel room (small single) for less than £90 unless it was horrible and miles out.

We could look into serviced apartments which will poss work out cheaper plus could eat in then too. This would be cheaper outside London though...

Having said this I'll do it whatever as I'm really looking forward to meeting you all - it can go on the plastic and worried about in the New Year...

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 22:08

Several cross posts I can't do 12th either in case I haven't already mentioned this SEVERAL times and unlike Seashells being reasonable I will throw myself on the floor and have a full on hissy tantrum.

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 22:09

Don't they all have excellent eyebrows [shallow]

Yes I will bring the (now regional Germany sticker decorated) icey tek, mit gin natch. We will all have to drink from the drainage hole at the commencement of the quiche hazing activities.

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 22:11

I'm letting the side down as I am watching Big Brother and X-factor Grin

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 22:12

I know- what about a Burns night piss up in Chester in Jan - it's the 25th Jan. We can crash at lovely local mnetters, my lo will be nearly 15mths so I'll be happier going further afield and we can either eat at a local pub or chip for a meal?

OP posts:
SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 22:13

Sorry, that's meant to be "chip in"

We could pick one of the weekends either side...

OP posts:
YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 22:13

I'm really liking that idea Seashells. That would be a lot of fun Grin

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 22:15

Ok all.

Am posting from phone and head might explode soon.

I'll do a group email tomorrow mooting 12 November in Chester for anyone who can make it, (purely based on the cost of accommodation) then you can all tell me what your best weekend in jan would be. It's usually a quiet month for socialising so hopefully we won't have too many pre-arranged commitments.

It's not a perfect solution, but gives the best chance of inclusion.

Thoughts anyone? Or better ideas?

Am honestly just trying to suggest a fair solution.

Dave x

X-posts with everyone and shoots self in trenches/suicide pact with Russian secret agent in keeping with Downton/Spook

Ps can do 25 Jan

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 22:20

Dave you are doing a sterling job.

Burns night sounds like a great idea Seashells.

The chicks will not be in the iceytek of gin. We can put them in my Coleman coolbox instead.

How you will all laugh when I tell you what I do for a living.

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 22:35

I just want to say I am still absolutely fine about putting people up here. If dh and the girls go to stay with the pils (v doable) then ooh gosh I could put up four people in proper beds before I needed to start un-rolling the thermarests.
