...according to ridiculous, stupid article in Daily Mail today.

(Thought twice about posting this as I already posted a quote from the Mail on Sunday yesterday.
I do not buy that paper, just saw it at my in-laws on Sunday and in the library today. Phew!)

Monkeytrou.. shame on you with your norks out in public! Didn't some old bag offer to shield you with her handbag or crochet doily? What is the world coming to! I'm telling you, bottle is best . I have it soooo easy, all that washing and washing, and washing, oh, and some more washing.....

And thanks.. was thinking of pigtails for tomorrow... whaddya think?

I think crime Pruni. Always pays

serah · 10/08/2005 20:48

Cadmum · 10/08/2005 20:56

Maybe I was exuding confidence... Or maybe I looked really bi*y... I did have 3 children and my mother to deal with after all!

Cadmum · 10/08/2005 20:57

Go ON...Say it!

serah · 10/08/2005 21:00

I daren't!!! oh, ok.... would you mind terribly, slipping ones nork back in ones shirt and not leaking all down it. Some of us are British here, one knows.....

Cadmum · 10/08/2005 21:35

ROTFL! Have never heard the term NORK before. What an image I have in my head...and to think that I get to do it all again in 61/2 months...

serah · 10/08/2005 22:40

Cadmum. Even I don't know where it comes from! I just have always liked the word!!!

milward · 10/08/2005 22:48

Shocked at hampton court story. I'm a mum who could bf & walk around. For eg - I bf my toddler whilst having a guided tour of the Grand Dukes Palace in Luxembourg. No one minded - loads of different nationalities. I was at the back of the tour group & the guide could see I was bf - perhaps she was a mum herself?

Bramshott · 10/08/2005 22:50

I read this as "I could see the guide was bf" Now that really would be something!!

milward · 10/08/2005 22:52

A possible job for bf mums!!

I'm afraid the majority of people in this country have the "I'll do what I want to do, when I want to do it " attitude. That is why this country is sadly going downhill. People should be more sensitive to other peoples feelings especially when it comes to very personal and intimate acts.

Comment from sample Daily Fascist reader.

Whatever next? Women running around with norks akimbo in a breastfeeding free for all? Men with their dongers out? Black people being allowed into swimming pools with white people? Homosexuals? What's this world coming to?

Since when has eating been an "intimate" experience? Next time I go to a restaurant, I must remember to eat in the loo.

lol at you moozoboozo!!

Nightynight · 11/08/2005 09:16

Totally barmy on the DM website. "Should mothers be allowed to bf in public" - so are they going to call the police then if breastfeeding mothers refuse to retire to the toilets?

hunkermunker · 11/08/2005 09:26

My name is Hunkermunker and I norkfeed DS. PMSL!

moozoboozo · 11/08/2005 09:28

HM, I hope you dont get your norks out in public!!!!!!! How disgusting

More consideration should be shown to all. If there is a norks room provided then it should be used. Otherwise it can appear to be attention seeking. Have nork feeders ever thought about how it may feel for someone who has no norks or is trying to grow some, to be faced with that image unnecessarily can be very upsetting. A little sensitivity can go along way.

moozoboozo · 11/08/2005 09:43

I wish I'd included the term norks though

serah · 11/08/2005 09:44

Love the norks akimbo phrase.

Just a thought - maybe it is simply the word "breast" that has people so upset. If everyone changed to norkfeeding, then it may simply solve the problem....

acnebride · 11/08/2005 09:47

Just unbelievable! "I never breast feed in public, If I had to go out I always made sure there was a baby room before I headed out or I left the baby with a relative." If I had to go out? what, on the rare occasions my legirons were unlocked? and if she left the baby with a relative, how much breastmilk was it getting then.

Truly sad responses. I note that 99.9% of the Americans were astounded that anyone had a problem. I'm having my next baby in the Home of the Free Breasts.

moondog · 11/08/2005 09:51

May be construed as stirring (Moi??? Surely shome mishtake??) but i did post in a similar vein a while back when a bottle feeder complained about emotional trauma caused by seeing women b/feed if one had been unable/unwilling.
I suggested that similarly us norkfeeders may feel traumatised at never having had a meaningful relationship with Cow&Gate or SMA....never really got a chance to relate to sterilisers and scoop measures.
