no need to ever wash your baby's face, just wait until she pulls off and gets squirted, rub it in, et voila!

Whoops, sorry Lenin, got confused.

Oh yes, Hot Milk nursing bras!! Gorgeous. Sadly, 21 months on, my boobies have shrunk so much that I don't fill out the smallest they make .

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 16:37

never seen a HM nursing bra, is it worth investing??

Longtalljosie · 10/11/2009 16:48

I looked down at DD's head and thought "argh! dandruff!" It was flakes of croissant...

Speaking of cake, have had three Mr Kipling efforts and two chocolate hobnobs today. Need more biscuits... and I weigh less than before I was pregnant. It's amazing!

lisianthus · 10/11/2009 16:58

It is definitely worth getting a HM nursing bra. Figleaves sell them.

Another good thing - the drunken, happy look on DD's face when she finishes feeding. If she could talk, she'd be slurring her words. It's hilarious.

I'm another one who has put on weight while breastfeeding. Sigh. I'm still going to let myself have a slice of cake each day though.

SherryMerryLennipillar · 10/11/2009 17:29

Nicer smelling baby poo

Wigeon · 10/11/2009 17:32

The really sweet, drunk blissed out face DD pulled as she came off, eyes firmly shut, slowly shaking her head from side to side and pouting her little lips in a really adorable way.

She'll never be 3 months old again [sob]!

(PS - cake)

EdgarAllenPoo · 10/11/2009 17:38

always having milk for my tea in the morning.

having a good reason to take the baby out with me rather than admitting that i don't trust my MIL to look after both my DCs.

staying in bed an extra 20 minutes to feed the baby whilst husband gets up to breakfast the toddler.

toddlerama · 10/11/2009 17:41

This thread makes me want another baby so I can BF! I loved the pouty little mouths when they finished...

Indith · 10/11/2009 17:42

yes SPB, def worth a hotmilk bra. Was going to this time around, didn't get round to it and now really can't afford it

Jacksmama · 10/11/2009 17:59

Hotmilk bras are absolutely gorgeous. I nearly cried when I tried a deep pink and beige number with tiny ruffles and embroidery (and matching pants!!) and couldn't fill it out.
They come in black and taupe as well...

Having the time to read heaps of books. ds was such a slow feeder - annoyed me at first until i realised it was a great excuse to get lost in a book for an hour.

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 18:46

might treat myself to some
hmm

Flamebat · 10/11/2009 18:49

I wish I had a 3rd hot milk bra.

For me it is the feeding whilst sleeping thing atm.

Mangled right nipple is still making the other benefits seem (It got better, then she decided that the best way to get nipples in mouth was to forgo the pesky opening thing, and just suck it in like spaghetti )

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 18:53

yes dd does the little pursed mouth thing, and looks at me as if saying "milk please"
I don;t fall for it!

lisianthus · 10/11/2009 18:56

Oh God, yes Flamebat the sideways thing hurts! When DD is really concentrating, she also sometimes grabs my other nipple in her little fist, digging her nails in and DH has found me trying to muffle my whimpers and convince her to let go.

[Concentrates on cake]

MrsJamin · 10/11/2009 19:06

After feeding in the night, the lovely hormones just send you right back off to sleep (once the baby is back to sleep of course).

Indith · 10/11/2009 19:18

Oooch that reminds me I need ot cut dd's nails. She has started palpatating my breast as she feeds and she just grabs it right near the areola and digs her fingers in, it bloody well hurts! She is also teething and in trying to avoid hurting the bit where the teeth are coming through is slicing my nipple against her bottom teeth.

Anyway, erm...cake...yes cake shall make it all better.

(how is T SPB?)

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 19:19

not saying
will jinx it

Hther · 10/11/2009 19:24

not being expected to help tidy up at the end of toddler group, even if your baby has finished feeding, your toddler wants milk

not being mistkaen for a man anymore ( had 32a breasts before, went up to 38d when pregnant, and was e cup wheilst feeding)

Chrysanthamum · 10/11/2009 20:01

Eating loads and falling fast asleep after a night feed -
but please tell me somebody how can you b/feed while asleep?

ladylush · 10/11/2009 20:05

its very easy

kitpuss · 10/11/2009 20:08

I can't believe I've never heard of hot milk bras before - I've done nearly two years of breastfeeding with comparatively scummy ones and it's too late to buy one now, sigh....

For me it is lying down feeding in bed in the morning while DH gets DS1 his breakfast, the one meal in the day that I don't have to get for everyone!!

MadAboutTheBoys · 10/11/2009 20:16

Watching DS2 trying to laugh and latch on at the same time...

Laughing when DS1 told me to open my boobie and give DS2 some orange juice!

Finding it easier second time around after a slightly problematic start first time. Especially the feed that went something like 'Gulp, gulp, gulp, buuuurrp, sleep'
