A nice shiny new thread!

Ooh, me - i'll have one! DD is all snuffly so thinking it's a cold, not colic. Tranfer fail numerous times at first attempt so had her in bouncy chair (wide awake but not crying) and have just fed her to sleep (I know, I know) hoping she stays put for a few hours as I am also now feeling snuffly. Envy Smashing.

SoYo · 15/05/2013 23:24

2hrs in to bedtime & she's bloody grinning at me Angry

abi2790 · 15/05/2013 23:58

Thanks Emily. That made me giggle :)

Ds is having a bad night so not managed to read everyone's posts through my stingy eyes. Will post when ds let's me get more than 30 minutes sleep!

Newmum2013 · 16/05/2013 00:18

Must be something in the air tonight! We up for first feed of the night. Hoping he goes down easily. We at the docs in the morning.

Good luck all hope there's lots of babies sleeping tonight and you all get plenty of sleep (fingers and toes crossed)

abi2790 · 16/05/2013 00:59

And we're awake again :(

larlemucker · 16/05/2013 04:50

Hope everyone is asleep after a bad start.

We didn't manage very long in the cot. He is do restless in there and in bed with us he sleeps so well!

abi2790 · 16/05/2013 05:15

Another crap night. Luckily we managed to get a 3-4 hour stretch in but the rest of the night has been terrible. I don't know if it's hunger waking him cos he doesn't feed for long before falling asleep. Argh I'm confused and don't know what to do!

Newmum2013 · 16/05/2013 06:15

We were up at half four and now he's up again. Hope everyone is managing to get some sleep!

Emilythornesbff · 16/05/2013 06:49

So morning feed here. She woke around 1:30 claiming starvation and fed for about one minute. Grin
Ds was awake (after a dream?) at 1pm.

Defo more settled in our bed larle but I do try with the cot too. She's almost four months - the age that ds first fell off our bed Blush

larlemucker · 16/05/2013 07:52

Baby larle sleeps between us so would find it very difficult to fall out of bed!!!

MrsNPattz · 16/05/2013 08:30

Well it didn't last long - we co slept from 1! He was up 3 times from 8:50 until 8 which isn't bad for him! Just wish I knew why he wakes Blush

Think you beat me MrsN!!

SoYo · 16/05/2013 11:36

Last night was an absolute nightmare & I feel so shit today. Didn't get her to sleep until 12.15 after starting at 9.30 & then awake at 1, 1.45, 3, 5 & 7. I can't enjoy her today, all I want is her to sleep! I can't even imagine having to do it again on my own tonight.

larlemucker · 16/05/2013 12:08

soyo I was exactly the same a few weeks ago. Have you tried co-sleeping? I know it's not for everyone but it might mean you get a nights sleep

Anypants · 16/05/2013 12:31

Sorry soyo - Probably a little growth spurt. I suggest keeping her more awake today (if you can stay awake too) so that she's cream crackered by tonight. I did that yesterday and had trouble getting her to go to bed last night but she stayed put until 7am! Go for a walk in the fresh air too - it'll make you feel better Smile

MrsNPattz · 16/05/2013 16:29

Larle did you end up co sleeping too? It's just so much easier for feeds Blush

Hello again everyone, thank you all for the lovely welcome back! Smile

Sorry to hear of the horrendous nights and illness of both mums and babies. Sad I agree that cosleeping ROCKS. 10 months ago I wouldn't have dreamed I would ever say that!

larle you made me laugh about the bed! As usual lots going in here and already I am behind on everyone's midnight news.

Last couple of nights have been much better. Still needs resettling about every 1-2 hours (usually because he is up and trying to climb out of the cot) but reasonably quick. And this morning he didn't wake for the final time until - wait for it - 5:30!!!! What a sleep in, another hour and a half on the usual!

Commiserations for colds and chicken pox.

larlemucker · 16/05/2013 21:58

Hiya goat

First night in new bed tonight. Sheet feels all prickly and mattress a lot firmer than old bed.
Baby larle currently in cot, want a competition again tonight MrsN? Loser is the first to co-sleep!!!

Off to booby group tomorrow as have a white bleb on nipple (sorry if TMI) and dunno what it is. Bit sore feeding on that side too. Then it's water babies in the afternoon!

Sweet dreams everyone!!

larlemucker · 16/05/2013 22:13

Seriously how do they know you're just about to drift off??

GoatBongosAnonymous · 16/05/2013 22:17

Ooh larle yes please to tea cakes!

I'll join your co sleeping competition... What's the prize? Grin

Newmum2013 · 17/05/2013 00:02

Well here we are still trying to get the little man to sleep. Only been trying since 9pm! Arghh! Fantasising about sleep now...

Good luck everyone!

Newmum2013 · 17/05/2013 00:58

Still here.... how can he still be awake? ??

Anypants · 17/05/2013 03:50

Morning all. First feed here and struggling to keep eyes open. The good news is that DD put up a bit of a fight but finally accepted a bottle. I tried her out with 1oz and she wasn't keen but after about 5 mins, she just started sucking! Thank god for the new bottles Smile
I hope you're all sleeping soundly - just putting the kettle on if you're interested? Brew Brew Brew

SoYo · 17/05/2013 04:07

Ooh yes please Any, Earl Grey, no milk, slice of lemon fussy, wonder if Larle has any tea cakes left?

New that's exactly like I was last night, hope you're asleep now & you get a better one tomorrow!

We're much better tonight. She was shattered after swimming so I put her to bed in her cot (after much protest) at 7.30 & she didn't wake up until 12.15 so I brought her back into my room then. Took a while to settle her in her basket but got her down about 1 & she woke up at 3.45 for next feed. Not too bad but think we'll co sleep from here on in.

Emilythornesbff · 17/05/2013 04:23

Hi. After feeding at 22.30. this is first feed here. Impressive.
Didn't settle in her cot though Sad

Well done with the bottle any'

Brew. For anyone still up.
But no biscuits for me. Spectacular fasting fail here yesterday Blush

Sleepy dust to all.
