Wow it has been a quiet night. I hope that means we had lots of sleeping babies. We had a crap night. Ds was up at 9, 10, 1, 3:30 and 7. I hope this isn't a regular change!

larlemucker · 12/05/2013 07:26

Decaf latte please any!!

We haven't had a great night, co-slept again. Up about 3/4 times but I was so tired each time I couldn't see straight enough to post!!

Hope good nights were had.

This morning we are on a mission to clean the house as it is minging!!

MrsNPattz · 12/05/2013 09:09

Ugh. Cr*p night here too. Up at 4, 5.30, 6.30 - DH has been keeping her amused since 7.30 and now am feeding her again. I feel like I haven't slept and I cried a lot when she wouldn't go back to sleep each time. We were doing just fine before now - up once between 8.30 and 8.30. And now she's refusing to take a bottle so all DH can do is change her or get her to sleep (eventually) but I have to be the one to feed her. She was having 40 mins each feed but, apart from bedtime, she's only interested for 15 mins max, evem during the day. But I haven't done anything different. Sad

SoYo · 12/05/2013 15:02

Any & Larle we had a crap night too. Up 4 times but was just too tired and pissed off to post. Any the bottle refusal is the most frustrating thing. I want to order some new teats to try I'm desperate but cant find the bloody checkout button on amazon since they changed it so I cant get past my basket. Bloody frustrating but I might be just an idiot with baby brain!

abi2790 · 12/05/2013 19:48

Today has been so stressful. Ds has pretty much been feeding all day without sleeping (other than on me whilst feeding. I think since about 7 there has been about an hour break. Should I be worried? He's 23 weeks today and I don't think he's ready for solids yet unless this is a sign. I had him weighed on Tuesday and he's still following the 91st centile so I was reassured that we wouldn't need to start solids yet. What would you guys do?

Hope everyone has had a good weekend Smile.

Anypants · 12/05/2013 19:51

I'm desperate too soyo - because she had an extra feed today i'm trying to give her her bedtime feed now but i'm 'empty' and she's screaming out of frustration. Have tried a bottle again to see if she'll take it when she literally can't have the real thing but she's still not interested. I've only got avent classic which she was fine with before but am also considering a change. Also, i'm going to pop in to a breast feeding support group this week to see if they have any advice. All this for one day away.... - she must know Sad she's now on the boob, sucking me dry Envy

abi2790 · 12/05/2013 20:03

Arghh Ds has been asleep all of 15 minutes and is now looking at me from his cot and I can tell he's thinking "feed me, mama"!

larlemucker · 12/05/2013 20:55

Think we're going to have a fun night, baby larle has hardly slept all day. Currently asleep in my arms, daren't move!!!
He has been a bit sicky today, was sick earlier and there were a couple of dark kind of mucusy bits in it. Don't know what it is, any ideas?

Managed to get some house work done today, my house has been a tip since DS came along! My DSis and niece have been round then cooked tea for MIL. Bit peeved though as tea didn't turn out like last time I did it Hmm

Hope you've all had a lovely day

Emilythornesbff · 12/05/2013 22:15

Hi. Missed you guys last night but much as larle described I was too tired to post. It wasn't a terrible night I don't think though. What's that mucousy stuff like larle? What are his nappies like today?

any babythorne has seemed fussy with feeding lately. I'm wondering if it's. Growth spurt??? But I feel a bit "empty". I miss that feeling of being all full and then baby feeding well and "deflating" a bit.
Ok. I realise that sounds a bit weird. I'll get back to watching father ted now.

abi sorry you've had a tough day (and night soyo).

SoYo · 12/05/2013 22:26

MiniYo has been grazing all evening & I'm also missing that full to empty boob feeling that signals a big feed & better night! Oh well, it can't last forever can it?.

Good luck for tonight everyone.

MrsN hope you got home to your boy ok.

Anypants · 12/05/2013 22:46

I kept poking my boobs to see if they'd refilled while DH was trying in vain with the hoodwinking. It's a strange sensation when they're full up (i still remember day 3 when I thought I was actually going to explode out of my bra Shock ) and a good sense of relief and fulfilment when DD has had her fill. She's gone off ok hopefully although I can't be sure she got enough as she can't have had any of the good stuff Hmm
It's been a rough couple of days and i'm off to bed now to sleep, perchance to dream of eight hours sleep in a row Envy
Nighty night for now - sleepy dust sprinkled liberally Smile

larlemucker · 12/05/2013 23:06

Looks a bit brown emily. There isn't much of it, noticed it on his gro bag. Poos are a normal colour but have been mucusy for a couple of days. Can't see any cracks etc on nipples.

Typically I've been asleep about half an hour and he is up Hmm

abi2790 · 12/05/2013 23:56

Ugghh Ds is awake again after 2 hours. How can he be hungry?!

abi2790 · 13/05/2013 02:27

We've been up again for the past half an hour Sad.

larlemucker · 13/05/2013 02:42

Second feed, one very hungry and screaming baby.
3 hours since last feed though, co-sleeping seems the way to go!

SoYo · 13/05/2013 03:14

Crap night abi, some sort of growth spurt surely.

Glad you're finally getting some sleep Larle! How are you doing your co-sleeping with pillows & duvet? I find it a right pain & then always get really uncomfortable stuck in one position.

4hrs since feed here, that's the longest for a wee while. She has woken up twice in that time but been shushed back to sleep.

Ivestarted dreaming of a full nights sleep. Must be going bonkers!

Anypants · 13/05/2013 05:22

Well, the sleepy dust and pure exhaustion worked last night - on first feed since the 7pm melt down! Took me ages to get to sleep though as she was quite squirmy in her basket and I suppose I thought she'd wake up any minute.
Now to conquer to bottle aversion Confused

lazzaroo · 13/05/2013 05:31

Terrible night! Haven't posted much lately as beginning to find recounting my lack of sleep a tad depressing!

DH away so all wake ups over to me. Awake & fed at 9.30 & came in with me. Awake at 12.30, fed back to sleep. But then dd1 turns up at 3.20 so since then I've been balancing one not waking the other. Dd2 woke at 3.40 but not particularly interested in feeding. Paced around & she eventually went back to sleep after an hour! By this time it's 4.40! I manage to sneK back into bed with her & then she wakes again at 5.10. I am trying desperately now to feed her back to sleep.

Co-sleeping probably best option if I could count on dd1 not waking too.

Today is going to be a long day with just more of the same tonight Sad

lazzaroo · 13/05/2013 05:59

She's asleep. But because I had to get up with her so I didn't wake t'other, I'm now sat in chair in the nursery. Awake & Daren 't move!

lazzaroo · 13/05/2013 06:01

She's awake. So having been awake since 3.20am I have to resign myself o the fact that that's my lot for today.

SoYo · 13/05/2013 06:33

How old is DD1 Lazza? That happens every now & then to a friend who has a 2.5yr & 5mth & if she's too tired & DD2 is up at 4am she wakes both up, goes downstairs & has party breakfast (usually pancakes) & playtime then family nap time at about 9am with everyone in the big bed so she gets another hour. Not ideal but it gets her through the day!

Emilythornesbff · 13/05/2013 06:38

So tired. Ds up now.
Sorry larle. If babylarle has more of that I would have GP check it out. Is it possible he's irritated his gut with previous vomits? IYSWIM.

Emilythornesbff · 13/05/2013 06:44

Or possibly some infection (like a cold?) that has irritated his tummy.

Oh lazza Sad. I know, I know, and I feel your pain.
Blackout liners aren't helping. Dh is going to black the whole window out brick it up Grin to see if that helps.

larlemucker · 13/05/2013 07:09

It's HV weigh in today so going to show her and see what she says. He has had a snotty nose so could be that. One nipple looks dark on one side so possibly bleeding during feeding.

We're up feeding, hopefully not for the day! Not bad though as only 2 feeds last night.

Baby larle is in his gro bag, I move our pillows to either side to make a gap in the middle. He sleeps there on top of the duvet and I face him. Also leave a night light on so I can see him at all times. I do get a bit stiff lying in one side and I have to be careful where I put my left arm as I have slept with my elbow digging in my boob before now and blocked a duct!! It's not ideal but at least we're getting some sleep. New, king size, bed arrives thurs so that'll help
