Transfer fail.
Great.
Ds will be up before I know it.
I actually can't ever see myself having a decent sleep or normal life

SoYo · 10/05/2013 05:32

And another feed.....

She's been up bang in every 3hrs from the start of each feed overnight. I suppose that's not too bad but actually I'm shattered. Was planning to co-sleep from now after a quick feed but I've just felt a poo explosion. Excellent!

Glad you got a decent sleep Larle. If she slept longer with co-sleeping that's what we'd do but I think I fidget too much!

Hope you got back to sleep Em.

MrsNPattz · 10/05/2013 06:29

Just spoke to hubby and he had a hard night with little man, he said he just wouldn't stop crying from 10:30-12. Am I a terrible mother? Sad

larlemucker · 10/05/2013 07:48

No MrsN you are not a bad mother, you have left your little man with his dad. You don't know if he may have been like that even if you we're home.
We all need a break, my DH has been away with work twice since baby larle was born, would you say that made him a bad daddy? No!

Now if you had gone away and left him home alone you would be a bad mother!!!Wink

We were up for an hour or so feeding last night but that was the only time he woke! Just up now! Think I have a clingy baby!!

lazzaroo · 10/05/2013 08:07

Morning all! larle that sounds like a much better night! And I agree mrsN, your little one will be fine. My DH goes away 2/3days every week...no-one has ever criticised him....he says he has to work away but for all I know he's in the local travel lodge getting some decent sleep! Wink

Managed to get little Lazza back in cot after 2am feed. She woke at 3.50 and sounded really upset. DH bought her to me for feed & she settle again. He then got up with her. I don't know if he even tried getting her in the cot. He was up with her till she woke at 6am. But by our standards, a better night!

I have discovered that she's a fan of being on her side. Several times now when she has stirred, I have just rolled her onto her side & she's gone straight back to sleep. I put her down on her side for nap yesterday & she slept for an hour! Most unlike her! If I was brave enough I'd try letting her sleep on her tummy.

lazzaroo · 10/05/2013 08:11

Emily sorry for your rough night. I know the feeling of thinking if one's not awake the other one soon will be! My eldest has not long started reliably sleeping in past 6am....so guess it's another 3 years of rubbish sleep for me!!

Emilythornesbff · 10/05/2013 08:56

Orning!

Emilythornesbff · 10/05/2013 09:03

Doh. Morning
Poor mrsn you can't win. Babypatz missed you because you're a lovely mother and dh is learning new skills. He managed to comfort and settle him. Of course you're not a bad mother. Also remember that dh would want want you to know how tough it was for him while you were out "gallivanting". I hope you had a good sleep. Good point lazz

Off shopping. Whoopeee!, can't wait.

Anypants · 10/05/2013 09:07

High five larle for finally getting some sleep! woo hoo Grin
My DH offered to take the night shift last night for the first time in ages (he's been working a lot and DD's been quite stteled so no need). Got a bag of milk out the freezer for it but at 3am, when DD wanted feeding, she got frantic and would only take 2oz from the bottle. I (obviously) wasn't asleep and heard him put the tv on, change her, question her and finally put her in her bouncy chair, at which point I had to come to the rescue. He thinks she knows it was frozen so i've expressed some fresh this morning to try again tonight. I think it's because she hasn't had a bottle for weeks and we're going to have to persuade her. She's got to change her mind because my Mum is looking after her for the whole day next month, as I have a KIT day at work, and she'll need to be able to feed her. Shock

Babybeesmama · 10/05/2013 11:05

Yay larle - glad you got some rest!

I started throwing up last night - this was extremely painful. Just waiting to see gp now. Praying she gives me penicillin before holiday. I feel bloody awful.

Mrsn, you are def not a terrible mother! It's good to have a break & I think that makes u a better mummy! He might have been the same if you were there - teething maybe? Is he trying to crawl yet? Bb is not happy unless on front practising!

We have been very lucky & are having really good nights, after 10pm he's gone till 7am in cot... This is minor miracle after 7 months of 2 hourly waking.... There is hope!! X

Emilythornesbff · 10/05/2013 12:27

Oh. Well done larle and beesmama

Babybeesmama · 10/05/2013 18:38

Got the penicillin Grin but still having random pukes Confused and the pain is still excruciating. God I hope it is a bit better tomorrow.

Sprinkling liberal amounts of sleepy dust over all of your babies! X

MrsNPattz · 10/05/2013 19:14

Abey hope you start feeling better quickly.

MrsN have a lovely evening & a good sleep knowing that even if they both have a slightly more fractured night than if you we're there, your little man is just starting a whole life of male bonding time with Daddy.

We're back at home, as much as the sleeping was initially a bit rubbish at my parents it was lovely seeing them for a week & seeing how much DD's face lit up when I took her down to them every morning. So lovely being back with DH though! I'm attempting the nighttime routine again tonight but not sure it'll be as successful with a venue change added in. Somebody pass me some sleepy dust, quick!!!

Have a good night everyone. I'm sure I'll be back soon!

lazzaroo · 10/05/2013 20:12

It's 8pm, Friday night and I'm in bed. Just eaten packet of crisps & bar of chocolate (camomile tea before bed didn't last long!) and am ready to sleep! Oh how my life has changed!!

abi2790 · 10/05/2013 21:43

I know the feeling lazza. Bedtime for me as well!

Feels like I never post anymore Sad. Was really unwell still last night with food poisoning. Luckily no more sick just really bad tummy ache Sad. Ds isn't well either. He's had a chesty cough for about a week so took him to see gp this morning. Luckily it's just a cold but I can see it's really bothering him.

larlemucker · 11/05/2013 01:50

How life changes!! Gone are the days of clubbing, drinking till the early hours, lie ins!!!!!

We're up for first feed, baby latke is still sleeping with us. DH wants to try him back in his cot tomorrow. I really like him sleeping in our bed but we don't really have the room!!

MrsN hope you're having a fab time sleeping!!! We're not jealous at all!!!

Anypants · 11/05/2013 06:57

Well, it's been a jolly crppy night here. Went out for an anniversary dinner in the end with DD in her pram but we got home at 8.30 and I got her to sleep by 10.15. She was awake again at 12. Got her back to sleep. 3.30, up for a feed but only took 15 mins. Transfer fail - wide awake. Change nappy. Transfer fail. Fed for another 15 mins - transfer fail. After much much rocking, back to sleep at 5.30. Arms and legs flailing 10 mins later, hand on her chest until I couldn't feel it anymore and she'd gone quiet. Low and behold, up again now and feeding.
Want to kill DH who has just asked 'what's up?' as I threw the covers off and woke him up. What does he think is fudging 'up'? Angry
Am due to get my haircut at 10am (first time in 6 months) and now I feel like sh
t and haven't got the strength. Envy

SoYo · 11/05/2013 08:33

Bedtime last night was a huge fail. Ended up getting her up & bringing downstairs so I could have dinner. She came up to bed with us & got er to sleep at 11. Up again at 2, up again at 4, transfer fail & co-slept 5-7.50. Feeding again now & DH woke up offered to take her, saw she was feeding & rolled over & is snoring again now. Envy

Anypants · 11/05/2013 09:14

Brew Brew Brew
Will I make it to the hairdressers?

Emilythornesbff · 11/05/2013 09:40

Oh any I hope you make it to the hairdressers, it will do you good. Did you have a nice meal with dh? Having a baby changes everything doesn't it. We call our two dh our " little gooseberries".

lazza 8pm bedtime? Me too. I had planned to ghetto the gym but fell asleep after babythorne's bedtime feed. Just as well as the rest of the night was wakeful and ds was up at 5:40 am Shock.

Hope you're feeling better abi and babybeesmama

em

Emilythornesbff · 11/05/2013 09:42

ghetto ??? Go to.

Anypants · 11/05/2013 11:40

I like the sound of ghetto gym - run for your life on the treadmill etc etc Grin You'll be pleased to know I made it and now have very swooshy, shiny hair. Happy bunny. And DH hasn't managed to get dressed yet - hah! In yo face.
It was good to eat out, even with an audience but she slept just long enough while we ate so we could enjoy it a bit. May go for a lunch date next time though as i've done myself no favours by keeping her up too long Envy

abi2790 · 11/05/2013 13:09

Thanks Emily. I'm feeling much better today after having gone out for lunch.

Glad you managed to get your haircut any.

Ds didn't have a great night. Up at 11:30-12:30 and 4-5. I thought he would sleep well because he'd been feeding pretty much all day.

Anypants · 12/05/2013 04:26

Looks like a quiet.night tonight ladies. Anyone fancy a coffee? Brew
