A nice shiny new thread!

We're up again for the third time, we just managed a miraculous 10 mins between transfer and waking up crying. Been in bed nearly 4 hours, had less than an hours kip

SoYo · 08/05/2013 01:20

Up here an hour earlier than usual despite an hour later bedtime. I wonder if its the heat? Larle might taking a layer off help? I'm sure you don't need silly suggestions but my heart just he's out to you!

larlemucker · 08/05/2013 01:23

The gro egg is red soyo but DS doesn't feel any warmer than usual. Both windows are open.

larlemucker · 08/05/2013 02:11

Last night we were up every hour, tonight it's every half hour HmmHmmHmm

larlemucker · 08/05/2013 05:33

Another quiet night, starting to feel like I'm talking to myself run the thread on my own!!

Newmum2013 · 08/05/2013 05:37

We've had a bad night. Normally only up twice but lost count and ds been in bed with us since 2. He feels warm though and has a little cough. Hoping he goes off after this feed for a while.

Really feel for you larle. Hopefully it's just a phase. How old is lo?

Babybeesmama · 08/05/2013 07:06

Larle - feel for you Sad hope you got some sleep at some point? Have you tried giving some nurofen? If it is teething that will help for 6 hours. Will he take a bottle at all? Just wondering if DH could give you a rest as sounds like you so need a few hours uninterrupted!

We had a bit of a naff one, something seemed to be bothering him yesterday afternoon / evening. Then he's been on off crying since 430 in our bed. I'm knackered & have a sore throat!
Xx

lazzaroo · 08/05/2013 07:21

Had what seems to be becoming the usual night here. Awake at 10pm. Straight in with me. Awake again at 1.45 and 4ish. Wide eyed & full of wind at 5.15am. Took her downstairs so as not to wake dd1, nappy change, tummy massage and paced around with her until she finally went back to sleep at 6am. All awake now to start the day...again!!

Emilythornesbff · 08/05/2013 07:31

Morning!
Sorry it looks like some of you had rubbish nights.
larle can you get in a nap today?
We were up a couple of times. I've abandoned transfers and just co sleeping now.
Hey ho.
See you tonight.

MrsNPattz · 08/05/2013 08:34

Morning, we were up a few times like normal last night but we are co sleeping so don't post - sorry Larle you aren't on your own!

Going for a walk to Asda or Tesco soon, then little man has the Drs this afternoon so will walk there too.

Larle DS must be tired today after such a restless night? I hope you get some rest today Sad
My DD was up at 3 and fed for 50 minutes but took over an hour to go back to sleep as, even though her eyes were closed she kicked and kicked and kicked and woke herself up. Never had this problem before - thought it could be wind but she went to sleep eventually with me literally holding her legs down. Angry

abi2790 · 08/05/2013 09:35

Morning everyone. Didn't manage to post last night. Me and DP had horrible food poisoning :(. Luckily I'm feeling less sick now and I'm just really tired and achy. Thankfully ds slept right through from 10-7;30 so I managed to get some rest (but not a lot of sleep). I felt terrible last night because ds had to wait for his bedtime feed as I couldn't stop being sick. He has a nasty cold as well so I feel even worse about him waiting for me.

larlemucker · 08/05/2013 10:53

any I wish he was tired but he is currently on the floor kicking and talking to himself!

abi so sorry you have been ill, food poisoning is horrid. Hope you're feeling better today.

Tempted to stay in bed watching tv, weather is awful so don't think I'll be going out today. Only managed to express 1oz of milk this morn so can't leave DS with my dad Hmm

Seriously tempted to co sleep tonight as he does sleep better when he is in with me

Anypants · 08/05/2013 11:14

I'd do anything for a quiet night larle until you've got the strength back to try a routine again.

abi2790 · 08/05/2013 11:30

Thanks larle. We just tried to co-sleep and he slept for about half an hour but then woke up screaming before I fell asleep. I've never had food poisoning before and hopefully never again! Definitely a pyjama day for us both today!

larlemucker · 08/05/2013 19:20

Hope everyone has had a nice day.
Baby larle had a long nap this aft, and I got half an hour! Hoping he sleeps a little better tonight.

I would spread sleepy dust but gonna be selfish and keep it for myself!!WinkSmile

abi2790 · 08/05/2013 20:30

Ds is refusing to sleep Sad. I am so tired and wanted an early night. He won't let me feed him either.

MrsNPattz · 08/05/2013 20:35

So glad you got a nap Larle!

Attempting transfer here and then will co sleep again at first feed so I hope you all have a good night!!

mrsn good job with all your walking. Inspirational.
abi sorry you've been poorly, that sounds horrible. Ds will soon sleep I'm sure.
larle feel free to keep that sleepy dust. I hope you have a better night tonight.

Babythorne is asleep in the middle of my bed. Am preparing for transfer fail. Grin

abi2790 · 08/05/2013 21:03

Woo Ds is finally asleep in his cot after 3 hours of trying to get him to sleep! Dp is sleeping in the spare room again tonight so hopefully I'm in for a good sleep!

Sleepy dust to all!

MrsNPattz · 08/05/2013 21:14

Thank you Emily - I earned 5 activity points today!!

I'm off to Newcastle tomorrow afternoon for 3 nights, how am I going to cope without my little man Sad

OP posts:
SoYo · 08/05/2013 21:37

Fingers crossed for you Larle, I'll even donate a bit of my sleepy dust (just not all because I'm shattered).

I'm starting to really crave a bit of time off in the evening but just can't figure out how to implement an earlier bedtime for her when 6-9pm is the screamy, cluster-feeding witching hour(s).

We've done bath, massage, book (ridiculous at 10 weeks I'm sure) & now feed tonight & might just keep that routine but try to gradually move it forward.

Night all.

SoYo · 08/05/2013 22:36

Trying to get this baby to go to sleep for bedtime is breaking me. Is gone from 45mins feed & burp & down with 1 failed transfer to 2hrs, 3 feeds, screaming during burping, screaming on walking around, feed again, sleep trader, scream, walk around singing, scream, repeat above until the magic moment. Still not there tonight. Another fail. And I'm crying. Raaaaa.

Anypants · 08/05/2013 22:38

Keep up the story soyo - I swear DD knows to sleep longer after The Gruffalo Grin . It took a few nights of repetition but i've got it down to bath, feed (tank her up for 45 minutes on one boob), story (so far just TG), small screaming frenzy, transfer and she's out for the count until 4 or 5. Happy days Smile

Anypants · 09/05/2013 02:52

Crp - I jinxed it. I went to bed at about 11 but DH was still up at 12.30 and says she was awake before he went and had a (noisy) shower. DD starts whinging so I have to pick her up but she thinks its feeding time so I give her 10 mins before she falls asleep. Transfer fail followed by 20 minutes of rocking but DH has gone to bed by now. Thanks for your effing help - I know you woke her up as she hasn't been up so soon for weeks now. Shockingly, she's woken up again now and had 10 minutes and fallen asleep again. Grrrrrrr - all my hard work is unravelling and DH is snoring his head off. And I want to kill him. It was our anniversary yesterday - I got a card. He was late home from work and I got no flowers or anything else. And he had a quick nap while I made dinner. Hence he didn't come to bed when I did. He offered to take us out for lunch on Friday but I think he's been a bit sit and he hasn't apologised for not getting me anything. Rant over - just want to get back to bed Sad .
