DH has the noisiest sleeping bag in the universeAngry!!! I have just spent the last however long trying to get in it (he's not in it!!) without waking Missmarbles. I am going to try shush patting overnight and am therefore sleeping in her room. So far so good, as she didn't need feeding to sleep with the 30 minute intruder earlier. She's had first feed at 10.10 so I am going to try not to feed before 3 as she has done five hours recently, so not beyond the realms positive thinking, positive thinking She is very tired tonight which I hope goes in our favour.

Exciting times Stitch!Wink I do want more but I would honestly die if I thought I might be right now Grin

Hope everyone has a good night.

stitch that would be exciting! We are thinking of trying for the next one in a year and even that doesn't feel that far away.

small so sorry about your DM. It's so hard when there is caring involved as well. My mum nursed my dad for a while until he died a few years ago (he was 77 and gradually became immobile plus had dementia so it was like looking after some on much older) and it really took it out of her. What's the WI like near your DM? I'm quite jealous of my mum's, they do loads of fun stuff.
What would her dad think of an independent carer taking him out for the day so your mum can get a break?

marbles hope the positive thinking works. Loud bedclothes/sleeping bags are a nightmare. The bed whenwe visit my mum rustles loads and I always worry about waking babybrain. It takes me 10 mins just to s-l-o-w-l-y get back into bed!

DP had the work Christmas do this evening (?!) so I had a lovely 9.30pm bedtime! I've already had 3 hours sleep and there's still most of the night to go! Attempting transfer so as not to waste it by sitting here whittering Hope you all have sleepy babies.

Baby larle has had 3 hours in his own bed, yay! Not only that but he woke up when we first put him down so tried the white noise app, took about half an hour but he went back to sleep without crying, another success!
First feed here so fingers crossed for transfer!
stitch Good luck, hope you get the result you want. Impressed you have the time and energy to get pg!

Stitch, if this mega pumping doesn't boost supply then yes I will look at herbal stuff, I know I'd have enough if I was bf directly, just pumping not quite emptying boobs enough yet, I'm hoping they respond to my fake growth spurt, to be fair it's pretty much as the boys have been today anyway, they've fed LOADS. How old are your dc?

I've had an hours sleep so far. yawns just a quick pump then hopefully to sleep I shall go.

The only improvement is the speed I can get to herSad
Ended up feeding at midnight and now. 2 1/2 hours. Tried shush patting but tbh she woke up more than if I'd gone straight to feeding. Also she is taking loads do its not like she's just waking for a comfort suck. At lest she is still successfully transferring despite the racket made by the sleeping bag.

Report
larlemucker · 02/02/2013 03:33

Transfer fail. Looks like we might have to get used to the sound of the wind and the waves as baby larle woke up when I turned the tv off (watched the end of silent witness)
look good luck with the pumping, hope you get some more sleep soon

First feed here!

Wow Stitch - please let us know how you get on!! How old is your little one again?

Glad you have plans to see them Small, hopefully it will help!

Has taken me ages to write this as hubby phoned, and little man is wide awake!! Hmm In cot with Ewan on at the moment - he has been fed and changed so it would be lovely if he just fell asleep!!

Its not been a great start to our weekend without DH. Babylump up since 3 refusing to settle back in crib and dd1 up at 4 wanting to join the fun. Sat up in bed now feeding for millionth time and dd1 draped across my legs complete with about a hundred teddies. So tired :(

Wow stich how exciting, do you think you could be then? I want a third but not until dd1 is at school, another one now might finish me off!

Second feed here, plus a poo! It is one thing changing exclusively breastfed baby pooey nappy at 4am, but three meals a day baby poo is qn entirely different matter

To answer those who asked dd1 is 3.5 and will be in school from September, Stitch is 11 months old. Not a planned pregnancy if I am, haven't had my first period since Stitch was born yet and have been using bc, but cramping, nausea and sore boobs can mean pre-menstrual and pregnant so there is an outside chance I could be.

Transfer failed, feeding again,.Stitch wide awake.

Up again :(

I was beginning to hope the really bad nights were behind us at last after the last few good ones, but no such luck we've been on 45 minute wakings since about 2ish. Dd1 is finally asleep again but babylump is waking up on almost every transfer.

Hello again.

Pumping take 3 or something like that. DP helped with this bottle, he's settling the boys so I can hopefully just 'jump' back into bed.

Glad to hear the sleeping bag isn't disturbing marbles.

Oh yes stitch, proper food poos are not fun in the night, fortunately DD hasn't really done that too much (famous last words)

Someone asked yesterday or the day before about the boys waking each other up, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. If its feed time they generally start stirring at the same time anyway as I've kept feeds at the same time, but if one is asleep earlier after a feed and I put the other one down and he cries it usually doesn't affect the other one :) phew I say.

Ok that feed, nappy change, transfer fail, feed has taken two hours nearly. Now for second transfer attempt.

Not easy with two sometimes is it Heff and what is it with the teddies?! Dd1 always takes a small army into every room. They have more room in our bed and on our sofa than we do.

GoatBongosAnonymous · 02/02/2013 06:26

Four feeds. Two nappy changes, one explosive. Three shush pat attempts, two of which were successful.
Is now asleep on my lap. So I can't sleep.
Confused
Fellow feeling to those having bad nights. Will read properly later when both eyes open.

larlemucker · 02/02/2013 06:57

Sorry you're all having bad nights, we've had quite a good one for his first night in a new bed that stinks of plastic newness!
Had that one transfer fail, second attempt he was noisy and I could hear his arms flinging about but no crying so Dh made me leave him and he fell asleep. Now up for second feed!

Starting to get to the point now where I could see myself having another one but it won't be for a while we can't afford two in nursery. Couldn't do 3 though, that would mean new house and new car etc!

Report
BrainGoneAwol · 02/02/2013 07:04

heff sorry the nights seem to be deteriorating again. Hopefully the bad is now the blip.

look hope pumping works. I've heard fennel can increase your supply?

Babybrain will be starting solids soon, so smelly poo is something still to come. Lovely. We had one of his best nights - bed at 8.00-9.30, feed at 12.30-1.30 and woke me at 6.15 with loud chatting to himself. Didn't cry til 6.45 so DP and I just lay in bed listening to him being cute. Must record it one day. Grin
Fortunately he's doing a massive feed, else I think my left boob would explode Shock

Hi all. Lack of sleep obviously making me slow - only just worked out what this thread is about. DTs are 12 weeks now and still feeding every 3/4 hours (if I'm lucky!). Will dig back through the old thread marbles but did you get the transfer sorted? I share you pain! Been accidentely co-sleeping as I fall asleep feeding them on v pillow and if I do wake up and try and move them they usually wake. Have fooled them on bedtime feed by putting hot water bottle in the bedside cot but can't be bothered to refill in middle of night. Consequently getting very good at sleeping sitting up!

Report
StitchAteMySleep · 02/02/2013 09:05

DH checked the result.

I am not pregnant, very relieved and slightly disappointed at the same time. DH is quite disappointed too, but it is the best thing for our family right now.

Morning, we got up at about 8 and I had a quick shower while little man watched cartoons bad mummy

I have the food shop coming this morning, then off out with SIL, niece and MIL for lunch and windowshopping.

Sorry for the bad nights! Little am was up for over an hour when I last posted - it's exhausting. But at least it's only the once I guess.

Thanks For your negative Stitch - will you start trying at some point? I would love a second when this one is at school!

hats off to you stitch for possible poas moment

Oh stitch Thanks for bfn, its funny how even if you're not trying, and like you said even if not the best thing right now, a negative result can still disappoint you. Will you ttc again soon or wait a while? (sorry if too personal a question) I'm sort of hoping dc3 might happen by 'accident' so I don't have to worry about the timing!

Army of teddies is a very accurate description, we have teddy barracks in almost every room. She has her two favourites that come everywhere, they must be the sergeants, and a platoon of foot solidiers to provide extra back up when needed. Grin
