am going to have to tell you off for that

whole point of not list is it is only updated at start of new fred, never to appear again until we do
new fred... Otherwise it becomes one of those fucking lists...

Would be wrong to point finger solely at you tho, someone else did it earlier, I just can't remember who, else I name and shame them too...

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 14:10

Ooo, Rots is laying a baybeeee. All this baby laying is just a bit too much for me

PerfectDromedary · 05/07/2010 14:37

That's the problem, though, Igs. Once the list-making starts, the whole thing kicks off. It'll be sparkly babydust next, you mark my words.

Right, baybeeeeee-related q. I am very superstitious about swapping from my preconception vitamins to "proper" pregnancy vits. When did you lot make the change? Or were you just taking folic acid anyway?

Cosmosis · 05/07/2010 14:52

I was just taking folic acid, I never bothered with any other vits.

CurlyCasperBaggedABairn · 05/07/2010 14:56

drom I have stuck with the same sort of thing since TTC, an all-in-one whichi still take. Was sanatogen, till i got a deal on Pregnacare. Many say to take before conception, so you could switch whenever you want, but folic acid is crucial in early weeks.
Great news on muse's Garmin Child. Hope twinks can get some proper rezssurance soon.

Go rotty!

PerfectDromedary · 05/07/2010 15:00

Y'see, that's what normal people do! I, on the other hand, am convinced that I only got this far because I took so many supplements that I rattled, and made TNB take billions of other supplements. Am sure you lot understand why this happened - infertility diagnosis, IVF/ICSI backstory etc etc.

I feel like if I change anything, then things will go wrong. And I know how mad that sounds.

Hope rots's labour is going well!

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:02

To be honest I don't like the not list anymore. Don't get me wrong, I generally love lists but I prefer not to have a not list at all.

Anyway, pregnancy vits, I did not realise there were different vits for pre pregnancy and pregnancy and I have been taking the same one all along which is an all round pregnancy vit containing not only the RDA of folic acid but lots of other stuff too. I got them from "Whole Foods" (aka as "Whole Pay Check" since that is what I seem to spend after each visit). I used to take Vinalac pregancny vits which also contains a probiotic but this has been discontinued so I take a separate probiotic each day too.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 15:04

you are right, we'll all be saying sticky vibes and AF and won't know where we are....

I took the sanatogen ones too, before and during... They have the folic acid etc. Re: pregnacare, some people say they made them feel more sick than other vits. And they did for me too. But some people fine on them.

Also, I have been taking floradix from about 16 weeks instead of the sanatogen. Would also recommend that for later on...

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:14

drom can you continue with your host of drucks AND take a pregnancy one too? Or would that be OD'ing?

Cosmosis · 05/07/2010 15:18

drom look at the contents, I bet they is simliar? as long as they has FA in, just carry on with the ones you're taking now I fink that's what I'd do.

PerfectDromedary · 05/07/2010 15:21

Oklahoma I have happily ditched the host of New Age insanity that I was taking, as I have no idea how any of them would work with pregnancy. The Pregnacare preconception thingy has the right amount of folic acid in it, so should be ok.

I walked into Boots the other day, picked up some mother-to-be vits, panicked that this purchase would blight my pregnancy, and put them back without buying them. Am all weird in the head at the moment.

Iggles Floradix just sounds rude.

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:22

Did BESH Medee win a baybeeeee????!

PerfectDromedary · 05/07/2010 15:26

We think so! She can't/doesn't post during the day, so hasn't been back to tell us the details. But MSDP is very definitely GO!

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:26

Badcamel you are menkul. Pregnancy vits are good, not bad, they alone are not going to make it disappear! Drucks (of the preganancy variety of someone in your state) are goooooooood!

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:27

Very ESH of Medee to be soooo cryptic.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 15:34

drom the madness won't leave you - you know that? I didn't buy a single thing for the baby until I had my 20 week scan... and I still have very little - I won't even buy a pram till after it is safely born.. cos I don't want any bad luck I say stick with the preconception drucks then, for you... so long as it has the folic acid it is all fine innit.

okie I never did like the not list... but I am grumpy like that

Floradix does sound pleasingly rude doesn't it?!

FannyPriceless · 05/07/2010 15:36

I am liking the MSDP. Whatever you've got in the water over there in the Palais, it definitely seems to be having an impact! Here's to many more besides.

OP posts:
OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 15:40

You can tell I am not into work today (despite having loads to do after having 10 days off!)

I too did not buy anything until past 30 weeks last time. Far to suspersitious. I haven't bought a single thing yet for this one although I do need to sort moving mini c to another room which involves a massive decoration project, selling/sending to charity a double bed and a several hundred books and cds. I also need to buy a double pram of some discription. It all seems to be too much like hard work and it has all been shelevd to my maternity leave "to do" list. Actulee FP what is your pram solution for 2 under the age of 2?

FannyPriceless · 05/07/2010 16:05

cokehead We went for this one, the Baby jogger City mini. It was an agonising decision - much harder than buying the single the first time around! Happy to discuss the pros and cons if it will help.

We have used it twice this weekend and I'm really pleased we chose a side-by-side. DD seems fascinated by being able to look at her little brother, so I'm hoping it will be good for the relationship. He's in a clip-in baby cocoon thingy (Graco - the shop threw it in for free).

OP posts:
OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 16:17

FP thanks. Does it need the additinal cocoon thingy for lie flat purposes or does it recline fully without one? How is it around the supermarket and in shops - is there enough room? Do you need a 4x4 sized boot to accommodate it? Loads of questions but I almost want someone to make te decision for me!

skihorse · 05/07/2010 17:01

hello everyone, I am finally home and the nurses have left the house, just us three now phew!

What a week - I know you've had glimpses here and there of all the "fun" I've had - my little boy is absolutely wonderful.

My tits are like rock hard honeydew melons - when the milk came in (hard work for us c-section girls!) I could/ve fed sextuplets! Pneumatic.

I have so much to share and so much to catch up on and jailbait knows I want to read everything you've all said and get back to you all. I've had so much support from all of you after the last week especially before he was born and I was in a state.

I got a text from cossie earlier telling me that rots has finally decided to push...

Sooooo... iggy... Got stronger kegels than the rest of us eh?
