Yup - mission get ski home is a go! We exchanged texts at 5am today when I was passing on some love from the BESHs.

rots you are so going to have that baybee at work...

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 09:17

Muse hope all goes well today and rots just eat a phal, that'll get him moving. Ski come back, we want to hear all about it.

Back in the world of work today for a rest - holidays are definitely not what they used to be!

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 09:19

Morning all. I'm fucking knackered.... Have been all
weekend... I walk my dog with a midwife who walks hers and she said that it is my body telling me to slow down an rest in prep for labour... But am all sulky cos I have ha lots of energy and I now feel like a wede of orange that has had all the juice sucked out... Or summink...

Glad ski on her way home! Muchly exciting!

Is nice to have a busy deli fred! Am very much enjoying seeing peoples over here...

rots I think today is your baby day... Hopefully...

Hope the raspberries are ok casp and cunty

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 10:16

Yes, I need a nice active fred to distract me from work. Iggs just put your feet up, read a book/mag and watch daytime TV.

RunLyraRun · 05/07/2010 10:17

I have two ripe raspberries in my garden! And loads of strawberries. But I don't think that's what you were talking about.

Muser · 05/07/2010 10:25

Positive news from scan. There's a sac and a yolk sac in my wombular. She couldn't see the baby yet but said that's not unusual at this stage. I am numb. And am going to be scanned again in 2 weeks.

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 10:32

Muse that is excellent news and it is in the right place! Have this mighty large champagne cocktail with sparkler and everything to celebrate!

FannyPriceless · 05/07/2010 10:35

muser Numb good? Or numb shock? That's the right thing to see at this stage, non? How many weeks do you think you are?

ski Get yerself home. Then come and talk to us pronto.

OP posts:
Muser · 05/07/2010 10:40

Numb shock. Am 6+1 and what can be seen at that stage varies so much. It's definitely good news. Just need it to sink in.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 10:45

Ooh muse that is excellent news! So next scan at 8 weeks? That is when I had my early one this time.

Lyra impressed at your fruit cultivation skillz but yes, not that

okie am currently lying on bed... I like your suggestions!

Cosmosis · 05/07/2010 10:51

Oh muse that is excellent news, so relieved for you. It?s going to be a long 2 weeks though isn?t it. Have a large bucket of cocktails and a fine specimen of young man to distract you.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 10:54

if my babyee arrives on time it could be at the same time as muse has her scan... That would be a busy ESH day!

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 10:57

If Iggy is also on/in bed then I grant her a virile young man too.

TwinkleToes76 · 05/07/2010 11:07

Muser so glad it's in the right place. Hopefully your next scan will show healthy embryo wriggling around!

Rots - you cannot go into work!!! But maybe the added stress will kick start those contractions again. Not what you need though so hope it is all resolved quickly.

I had an early scan this morning after some red blood last night. It's in the right place and embryo and yoke sac could be seen but no heartbeat. I'm 6+2 so it should really be starting now. Measurements are of a 5-6 week pregnancy. No clear evidence of where the bleeding might have come from, but there was a patch next to the sac which could have been blood. Not looking good really so have a follow up scan next Tuesday to see if the heart is beating.

I feel really flat. Thought I'd cheer myself up by watching old episodes of Friends on Ch4 but it's bloody Rachel and Ross' pregnancy scan episode! Waaahh

Backinthebox · 05/07/2010 11:30

Have just realised I can't even spell slaps properly, so have no hope of dishing them out correctly. Rots I love you too! But, here are words of wisdom from deep inside the Box - wtf are you doing worrying about work? Don't you have lavender to attend to or something? Ring them and say you would love to help them with their major outage but you are having contractions after your waters have gone and are planning a major outage of your own any time soon! Then get the dog food ordered from t'internet. I foolishly went to Tesco after my waters had gone last time and got very cross with them. Have had deliveries ever since and my world is a much happier place now it no longer involves supermarkets.

Ski come on home - we miss you!

All the early PESHies, as I mentioned, I am crap at this kind of talk. But remember it is very early days. Whether things go right or wrong, try and chill and carry on with stuff. Makes the time go quicker and before long you will have an answer either way. Hopefully the answer you want, too! I sound like Mystic Meg this morning.

Anyway - just had midwife. Joy - I have another back-toback one. Off out later to buy a birth ball as I seem to have lent my one from last time to someone and I don't know who. It can't have been a very lucky birth ball though as DD was still back to back when they sliced me open, after 2 days of labour and 2 months of optimal foetal positioning. Maybe I have a wonky pelvis?

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 11:30

Oh no Twinkle that is pants. Positive beating drum vibes to you for development of a beat for next week.

organiccarrotcake · 05/07/2010 11:34

twinkle I don't know what to say - just desperately hoping things are ok for you. It's just at that borderline isn't it - impossible to know one way or another for sure. I really, really am crossing everything for you. muser seems to be in the same position, where the HB isn't there yet (is that right, muse?), but at least there is an emby in the right place for both of you and that is extremely positive.

Very, very positive vibes to you both.

drom well, this is the first time this had happened in 10 years and it's just one of those things. I guess if I'd not been available it would have been a veeeery quiet day!!! But @ me dancing nekkid in the office!! However must say I was muchly displeased (as I may have stated!). Not at the office - noone's fault at all - just the circumstances.

Anyway thank goodness, I've managed to get computers all running by talking them through stuff. Tinternet came back on by itself and the telephone engineers are on their way to fix that. I had to organise it but that wasn't a big deal so now I'm ignoring them! Just uploaded some stock to MAC and dealt with some customer problems hanging over from last week, so think I've done enough now.

Having quite uncomfortable contractions about once an hour (acteeeev labour it isn't) so off to walk the dog.

Have re-written birth plan for hopsital scenario.

Oh V embarassing moment this morning. Phoned antenatal clinic to book in for testing for infection (was told on Sat to do this Mon). Phone call went,

"Hello, I need to book in for monitoring following SROM".

"Oh hello, is this Mrs Carrots?"

"Er - yes - how did you know?"

"Oh, word's got around!!!"

She was extremely nice and found it V funny but I was x 10!!!

Yay for ski!!!

organiccarrotcake · 05/07/2010 11:37

box pooh @ back to back. Scrubbing the kitchen floor is supposed to help .

(Barefoot, obviously).

Cosmosis · 05/07/2010 11:47

Oh twinkle bugger. That?s a bit inconclusive isn?t it, could go either way really. I will proffer a Glasgow kiss and trip you up if that helps?

rollerbaby · 05/07/2010 11:57

Twinkle shitty news and really hope it isn't what you think.

Muser again to echo everyone, it does sound promising, although I know you probably feel not exactly out of the woods yet.

Big slaps and gin based cocktails with umbrella and sparkler for you guys.

Rots you are nuts if you go to work. Seriously.

Iggy hope you are surrounded by fluffy pillows and a good book.

Right off for 13 course lunch. May be some time.

iggypiggy · 05/07/2010 11:57

twinks sorry you didn't get a more definitive answer from the scan - it's the waiting to know that is a proper bastard innit.

rots contractions every hour sound like a good start tho? But what do I know!

boxie You have just reminded me to buy dog food supplies off internets... I like bouncing on the birth ball... find it quite comfy

OkieCokie · 05/07/2010 12:15

I am just starting to think I should go on mat leave with about 6 weeks to spare. All these early arrivals is an omen. I would feel well and truly ripped off if I didn't have at least 3 weeks sitting on my backside watching daytime TV (and I suppose getting through my job list that I have already started to write)

Cosmosis · 05/07/2010 12:32

okie I am having a sudden rush of productivity at work thinking I'd best get everything in a handoverable state just in case for the same reasons!!

organiccarrotcake · 05/07/2010 13:03

Ok another update. I'm not going into work . Contracts suddenly gone from around every 15 mins to every 7 or so, including some I have to concentrate on/breath through. So have decided to go into hossie on the basis that I snaffle birthing pool and get IVs in straight away.

Feeling achy between contracts but otherwise fine.

Can't update in hos so will be back when I'm back!

xxx

Backinthebox · 05/07/2010 13:06

Oh, thank goodness for that! Couldn't have you laying baybee on the office floor, now. Good luck anad wafting lavender fumes your way. I am liking all these slightly early babies - please rub some off on me - tis awful being overdue when it is baking hot. (Not too early for me though - 1st Sept should be just about right School year and all that!)
