Thanks to spirael for the title, hopefully we'll all pop before this thread ends!

Morning all.

More congratulations to be handed out! spirael - well done on delivering Miranda yourself! And I love the name. You look so good in that picture too considering you'd just given birth with no pain relief!

stac - congrats on your gorgeous baby - she's got a great head of hair on her! I'm expecting a 10lber so it's good to see what it's going to look like!

Nothing exciting to report here. DH took me out for a hot curry last night which set off some serious twinges (along with more toilet trips) but it's all calmed down again this morning. DS has gone to my Mum's for a couple of nights so am hoping that it'll all happen while he's away.

Am determined to get myself out of the house today - sitting around waiting for things to happen is driving me mad!

Delta4 · 08/07/2010 11:08

Hi all,

Have caught up and seems very busy...congratulations to all the new arrivals!

Much sympathy for all of you still waiting...it was like that with my first child and I feel your pain!!

Am amazed at spirael and solo delivery! Well done!

Must go and sterilise breast pump as treating mastitis at the moment! grrr.

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/07/2010 11:33

err..I just stood up from my birthing ball and some white discharge the colour of milk ran down my leg. Is that normal??

memphis83 · 08/07/2010 11:42

dh its normal i had it the other week and freaked out but mw said its the norm to have more discharge at end of pregnancy as long as its clear or milky! oh the glamour of pregnancy

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/07/2010 12:01

Thanks memphis was just surprised to feel it run down my leg! Got all excited thinking it might be waters, no such luck!

delta ouch to the mastitis.hope it clears soon for you hun.
dh have to say that would freak me out too! were you wearing underwear?!
dp just came home for luch and i raped him so wishfully thinking something may happen this eve.........probably wont though . 4 days overdue now!

Wonderstuff · 08/07/2010 14:21

MILC took us ages to get dd to take a bottle, then she refused point blank to have anything other than boob in her mouth after 4 months old.

I'm proper fed up - dd refused to take a nap, which means shes going to be naughty all afternoo, as is her way when she is tired, my house is a tip and dh called to tell me he has a parking fine for £150 - just what we need, we already decided he can't really afford to take much paternity leave I'm soo shattered.

DD has just presented me with a bag of flour - best go and investigate the kitchen.

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/07/2010 14:27

kk I was still in my jammies which is how I felt it run down my leg as they are very loose fitting.
LOL at you raping your DP! I wish my DP came home for lunch as Id do the same thing lol.

Im getting really pissed off, I seem to have been plagued by thunder bugs, Ive literally found hundreds of them on my body. Its hot today so Ive got the windows wide open and Im just sitting here in shorts.
In the time its taken to write this post Ive flicked 7 off me!

memphis83 · 08/07/2010 15:20

dh i was thinking i hadnt seen any thunder bugs this year, they are clearly all visiting you lol!!! ooh what did you think to last desperate housewives of series?
mlic aw i cant wait for my LO you sound so relaxed and happy!
wonder hope DD didnt cause too much mayhem with the flour! maybe she thinks its a flour baby!
kk i love it that you raped your dh!!! i did that last night after going for a walk/run doing side steps and lunges then woke at 3 really disappointed that nothing had started!
my due date is tomorrow and have no signs going to make a chilli later, really hope head clears soon i feel like im going to burst a blood vessel!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/07/2010 15:47

memphis to be honest I thought more would happen with the Angie/Danny storyline but still glad the baddy is dead! I like how they've left it on a cliffhanger with the man moving into Susan's and the whole someone's been raising the wrong child all these years and leaving us to guess who that is! Overall thought it was a really good series and cant wait for the next one in Oct

Chulita · 08/07/2010 16:24

I didn't realise it was the last in the series, just watched it while DD was distracted with Cbeebies Got a bit jealous though cos Lynette found out she was pregnant after me and she's had her baby before me...that can't be right!!

OP posts:
memphis83 · 08/07/2010 16:59

dh i think its susan bringing up wrong child, i think that little boy is hillarious his little sly looks at them both at the start!
chulta i had the same envy yesterday when it said danni minogue had her baby i was sure i would be a mum before her, i actually said out loud thats not fair!!!
i still havent wrote a birth plan and only went online to look at pain relief today, maybe anti natel classes would have been a good idea! i only thought about it after my friend who became a dad 3 weeks ago was on facebook giving me advice, pain relief options from a man??? it was odd

NorkyButNice · 08/07/2010 17:32

What are thunder bugs!?!? Am not a fan of insects (especially ones who like to land on you!) so am glad I don't know what they are actually!

Pains have kicked up a gear here, and seem to be coming quite close together, so things might actually be happening. Haven't bothered to let DH know as he should be on his way home from work soon anyway, and knowing my luck it'll all die down before he gets here anyway!

Hope everyone has had a good afternoon.

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/07/2010 17:52

memphis I wondered if it was maybe one of Lynette's children as she has the most! Now you mention it though it would be more interesting if it was MJ, your right he is so funny, his little eyebrow raise at Susan!

norky thunder bugs are tiny black insects that seem to wiggle rather than walk, they are really tiny, about the same size as a headlouse and they are HORRID!
Exciting that things might be starting for you! Keep us updated

kkfairybrains · 08/07/2010 18:01

oh norky i really hope this is it for you! please keep us posted! and best of luck if it is xx
dh and memphis i dont know how i managed it tbh because im gone really low down on my bits and thought it might get in the way but it didnt! i'v since cleaned the house - again - from top to bottom and still nothing happening.was frantic hoovering, changed the beds, dusted and cleaned every room and zilch!well except a mega sore hip. im never going to have this baby. PLUS the phone hasn't stopped all day again and its really bugging me.i've it turned onto silent and if i dont answer to my mum she's ringing dp at work wondering whats up. then dad rang and asking about names again and he starts running down all my names saying ryan is a bold kids name and mikey that i may as well go live in the slums in ballymun. well i flipped! i said if thats what your ringing for dont ring again, you've had the chance to name your kids, so could you kindly let me do the same! grr! and he's never like that.we get on so well but he thinks he's either being helpful or funny but im not feeling either of them things! im not upset or anything about it it just bugs me a bit!
have to go to the shop now and wander round for a while wondering what to have for dinner.

MILC when I had dd one of the mws noticed she was tongue tied and wrote it on my notes but didn't think to tell me! Although I suppose it is possible they did and I was too out of it to notice!

God I'm getting sick of this pregnancy now - I'm just so shattered and I ache all the time - I know everyone else is suffering too. I was counting down until dh got home tonight - I'm so glad I only have a couple of days on my own with dd, I'm just utterly shattered.

kk we haven't told anyone any name choices this time around because so many people were so insensitive last time around, people just don't think about it do they.

Dh is doing bedtime - dd is sobbing and dh is shouting - we are all too stressed in this house atm.

memphis83 · 08/07/2010 20:56

kk totally understand with the name thing i said i like dexter she said i wont call him that its a dogs name, dh has now gone off name, but if she so much as makes a negative comment when hes born ive told Sil that MIL will not be welcome into our house! again like you it was just a rant i had as im sick of people ringing, texting, messaging etc. i saw a friend yesterday and she put in a message today if Tony Blair had sent me to Afganistan the war would have ended years ago as i was so ruthless and horrible yesterday! charming!!
We are still clueless about names ive told dh we wont be calling anyone to tell them hes born until he has a name! so thats put pressure on him to stop turning down names i like!

kkfairybrains · 08/07/2010 22:56

oh thats a tricky one then mlic.just persevere as much as possible with the formula and maybe try and get other people to do the feeds so he cant smell the milk? a lot easier said than done though. re the names i love william james the most for what its worth!
wonder your batter off not telling anyone cos once you've named the baby they're never as quick to say anything and they just get used to it.sorry things are so up in the air for you at the minute.sounds like your at the end of your tether. the sooner the baby is out the better and maybe everybody will be a little less stressed out xx
memphis i said to my brother yesterday i liked susie for a girl and he said the same that i couldnt call her that its a dogs name.that was lovely what your friend said! people really dont stop to think how peoples constant comments on our choices might make us feel. hopefully you'll come to some sort of agreement soon with a name! we dont know what we'r having either so its finding a name for both genders!
gettin real real strong braxton hicks this eve and they're coming thick and fast.really wish they would turn into something as they're really getting me down.off to bed now.who knows what tomorrow may bring!xx

memphis83 · 09/07/2010 02:03

kk hope pains comes to something tonight! i like the name susie
well its happy due date to me!!! although think i will be eternally pregnant
been up all night with my dog, hes really not well got to wait til 8.30 to be able to take him vets and hope there is something they can do, hes my 1st baby, and finding it very hard to feel happy when he is so ill, hope baby doesnt come yet in a way as im needed here with him!

Wonderstuff · 09/07/2010 08:25

Aww memphis hope the vet can make your dog better

Well I was sick this morning- with dd looking on 'why you being sick mummy?' can that be a sign things will start to happen? Probably more to do with the juice and iron tablets I had first thing. Woke up at 5.30 - whats that all about - I'm shattered now, because of course dd woke just as I was getting back to sleep. Aagghh - want this baby out!!

Chulita · 09/07/2010 08:36

memphis I hope they can sort your dog out! It's horrible when they're ill

wonder you're nearly there - was your dd early or late? In 4 weeks time you won't be pregnant!

I've got the mw today, hopefully she won't be as dappy as she usually is...we shall see!

kkfairy I hope something kicks off soon, fingers crossed for you

kittykat77 · 09/07/2010 08:42

Morning everyone.

Congratulations to the new arrivals! I am very .

Well have been feeling really fed up the last couple of days. Still 9 days until due date, but both DD and DS had been born by now, so I was hoping this one would also be early, but no such luck by the looks of it.

It also seems like such hard work now with the 2 kids around all day, and I know i am not being very patient with them, which is probably making them worse. At least DH will be around over the weekend, so hopefully he can help out more with the kids as at the moment I just feel like doing absolutly nothing, which just isn't really possible with 2 other kids...!

Memphis I know what u mean about thinking u will be pregnant forever. THat is just how I am feeling! Have stopped getting excited about any of the contraction type pains I keep getting as it's been going on for weeks now, and still nothing. Looks like it will be another hot one here today, which is bound not to help... Grrr.

Gosh I feel like I am doing nothing but moan at the moment!

grumpypumpkin · 09/07/2010 09:58

Chulita and Memphis- I have been avidly following all other pregnancies and am sure Dannii Minogue was due a couple of weeks after me? Also see that Sam Taylor Wood has had her baby too!! Grrrr....

We are definately due another baby or two today I am sure of it!
